Con la bendición de la lluvia logro apreciar el cambio de la naturaleza. Desde mayo comienzan las lluvias. En Venezuela, el 3 de mayo se celebra el día de la Cruz, en ese momento es vestida con flores de muchos colores. Este símbolo representa la llegada de la primavera y el agradecimiento por las cosechas. Un hermoso motivo para celebrar.

En el campo me topé con un jardín de cayenas dobles de diferentes colores. El color rojo en este tipo de flor es pronunciado y brillante. Son hermosas estas bondadosas flores, tuve en mis manos las de color naranja, amarilla y matizada, esta última es de hojas simples.

Los pétalos de la flor de cayena parecen frágiles pero siento que no lo son. Para mí, es una percepción engañosa. Las describo como una planta con la que siempre puedes contar, no solo como planta ornamental sino también para el cuidado natural de la salud e incluso para temas de belleza.

Si consultamos a los jardineros por qué suelen ser tan comunes estás plantas en los patios de las residencias les dirán: por su resistencia, por las ramas fuertes y fibrosas de las ramas que protegen los espacios, porque sirve como té o infusión para el sueño, la relajación, el cansancio o estrés o para combatir la caspa o caída del cabello.

Mientras más simples más bellas, así dicen por ahí. Me gusta esta flor matizada, predomina el blanco pero el centro rojo la describe como matizada. Como cosa curiosa, tomé tres flores, dos de ellas con pétalos dobles, ninguna de ellas se cerró pero cuando tomé la blanca matizada sus pétalos se cerraron en mi mano dejándome sorprendida, nunca ví algo igual.

Son muchos motivos que me llenan de satisfacción cuando llegan las lluvias. Ver los campos secos, llenos de polvo y vacíos, me entristece. Cuando camino y veo este tipo de escenario me preocupo, tiendo a pesar en la desaparición de las especies que forman parte del ecosistema.

En cambio, a pesar de los obstaculos ocacionados por las lluvias, cuando veo el renacer de las especies, me vuelve el alma al cuerpo como decía mi madre. Ver brotar de la tierra a estos insectos es una bendición, es señal de que aún tenemos tiempo de cuidar de cada especie por el bien de la humanidad.

Hay gente que se espanta cuando ven la aparición de un insecto con las características de los escarabajos. Es válido que se espanten pero debemos cuidar de ellos. Mi consejo en alejarse de ellos si los consideran enemigos pero, no los maten porque realmente son inofensivos. Nadie obliga a otra a tener contacto con insectos, solo es un tema de previsión y conservancion del medio que nos rodea.

Dejemos de ver los insectos como bichos raros, feos y asquerosos porque no lo son. Son especies de animales cumpliendo con su función en el planeta. A cada uno le toca hacer un trabajo específico, el escarabajo del estiércol por ejemplo nos libra de parásitos de heces fecales. De no existir este coleóptero, ¿quién sabe cómo estaría el mundo?
