Afternoon stroll along the perimeter avenue and the boat area in Caigüire (Eng - Esp)
Hello there, fellow travelers! It is a pleasure to greet you and share my visit to the Cumaná perimeter avenue in the Caigúire district. There, I was able to take beautiful photos of the sunset, the boat area, and the Cumaná waterfront promenade. Beyond offering stunning scenery—especially the sunsets, which are my personal favorite—the area features fishing zones where you can regularly spot various boats; on this occasion, I saw some of them along the avenue and near the small piers built from rock and sand. The waterfront is an ideal spot for walking, strolling, and enjoying the breeze. If you visit in the late afternoon, you can take in the beautiful landscapes as the sun goes down—my favorite time of day—when the sky is painted in gorgeous colors and the boats, swaying in the wind, create a lovely scene. I also had the chance to chat with a man who was tying up his boat at the end of the pier; although I was a bit apprehensive at first, my friend and I headed over there together. The views were incredible, and the breeze was a bit stronger than what you feel right at the water's edge; we even spotted some fish and charming crabs scuttling across the rocks.
It was a great adventure and a lovely experience walking along this small pier and enjoying the fresh breeze; from the rocks at the far end, one can admire the beauty and vastness of the sea, and I could even feel the spray as the waves crashed against the rocks. I loved the scenery and felt very happy to have made it that far and overcome my fear—though I think it was less about fear and more about uncertainty, as I had never been to that pier before. It was my first visit, and I absolutely loved it. According to a local man, the afternoon is the best time to sit on the pier, take in the view, and enjoy the breeze; the morning is also a good time due to the lower intensity of the sun's rays. The fishermen start their workday very early—even before sunrise—and if conditions are optimal, they return before noon with a fresh catch ready for sale.
Hola, hola amigos viajeros, es un placer saludarles y compartir mi visita a la avenida perimetral de Cumaná, en el sector Caigúire, donde pude tomar hermosas fotografías del atardecer y la zona de los botes, la cinta costera de Cumaná, además de ofrecer hermosos paisajes, especialmente los atardeceres, que son mis favoritos, cuenta con zonas pesqueras y en ella regularmente se pueden observar varios botes, en esta oportunidad pude ver algunos de ellos en la avenida y los pequeños muelles que son construidos con roca y arena, la cinta costera es el lugar ideal para realizar caminatas, paseos, disfrutar la brisa y si vas en la tarde puedes observar los hermosos paisajes con el ocaso del sol que son mis favoritos; el cielo se viste de hermosos colores y los botes movidos por el viento crean un hermoso paisaje; tuve la oportunidad de conversar con un señor que se encontraba amarrando el bote al final del muelle, al principio tenía un poco de miedo pero en compañía de mi amiga nos dirigimos hasta allá, las vistas Son increíbles y la brisa un poco fuerte en comparación con la que se siente por la orilla de la playa, pudimos ver algunos peces y los simpáticos cangrejos caminando por las rocas.
Fue una gran aventura y una linda experiencia, caminar por este pequeño muelle y disfrutar la fresca brisa, desde las rocas al final del muelle se observa la belleza del mar su inmensidad y también pude sentir las gotas de agua cuando las olas chocan con las rocas; me gustó este paisaje y me sentí muy feliz de poder llegar hasta esa zona y superar el miedo, creo que más que temor, era incertidumbre pues nunca había estado en ese muelle, es la primera vez que lo visito y me encantó, según la explicación del señor la hora de la tarde es la más recomendable para sentarse en el muelle observar el paisaje y disfrutar la brisa, también en la mañana, por la poca incidencia de los rayos solares, ellos muy temprano, incluso antes de que el sol salga, ya inician su jornada de pesca y si las condiciones son óptimas, antes del mediodía están regresando con la carga de pescado fresco listos para la venta.
After chatting with this friendly gentleman, and as the sun began to set, we decided to sit near the boats and take in the scenery; it is incredible how the sky gradually paints itself with beautiful colors, ushering in the night. The next photograph shows several of the boats moored there, standing out for their vibrant colors and curious names—such as Segundo Rafael, Don Antonio, and Fresca Aventura. They are situated on both sides of the pier; most are on dry land, though one orange-and-white boat can be seen in the water.
Continuing our tour, we see another view of the walkway—flanked by black rocks and boats on either side—which serves as a sheltered area for the vessels. These structures are typically positioned between stretches of land and rock to provide stability against the constant motion of the waves. As seen in the next photograph, one walkway is longer than the other; this one serves as the boarding and disembarking point, while the others are areas for securing the boats after the day's fishing. Several birds can also be seen in the distance, flying amidst the first rays of the setting sun.
Luego de conversar con este amable señor y cuando el sol empezaba a ocultarse decidimos sentarnos cerca de los botes y observar el paisaje, es increíble como progresivamente el cielo se va pintando con hermosos colores, para dar paso a la noche, en la siguiente fotografía se aprecian varios de los botes que están allí, resaltan por sus vibrantes colores y nombres curiosos: Segundo Rafael, Don Antonio, Fresca Aventura, entre otros, están ubicados a ambos lados del muelle, la mayoría en tierra firme y se observa uno de color naranja y blanco en el mar.
Siguiendo nuestro recorrido, tenemos otra vista de la caminería sus rocas de color negro y los botes ubicados a ambos lados de ella, este pasillo constituye un área de resguardo para los botes, regularmente se colocan entre dos porciones de tierra y roca para brindarle estabilidad, debido al constante movimiento de las olas; como se observa en la siguiente fotografía hay una caminería más larga que la otra, esta constituye el puerto de embarque y desembarque, mientras que las otras son áreas para resguardar los botes luego de la jornada de pesca, también se aprecian varias aves a la distancia, volando con los primeros rayos del sol al atardecer.
Strolling along this stretch was incredibly relaxing; my favorite part was undoubtedly watching the sunset and the beautiful colors reflected in the sky. The sea was calm, with gentle waves, making it the perfect moment to walk and take in the stunning scenery. Although I’ve visited various parts of the city's coastline, I never imagined this spot would offer such spectacular sunsets. To be honest, the whole coast boasts beautiful sunsets, but these are among my absolute favorites; the colors, the contrast, and the sun-kissed silhouettes are truly a sight to behold. Nature certainly knows how to surprise us, and this occasion was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed the sunset view; we even stayed on into the night, and I have to say the views were incredible then, too. The city lights contrasted with the sea, creating beautiful reflections on the water—which seemed to shimmer in gold and silver—setting the perfect stage for taking plenty of photos. We decided to stay in the area to make the most of our visit and watch the boats moving about; once night fell, we headed to the stop to catch our transport back. I hope to return to this area very soon—and arrive before sunset—so I can take a longer walk.
Pasear por esta franja fue muy relajante, mi parte favorita fue sin duda ver el atardecer y los hermosos colores reflejados en el cielo, el mar también se veía en calma con suave oleaje lo cual hacía el momento perfecto para caminar y disfrutar los hermosos paisajes, aunque he visitado varias áreas de la zona costera en la ciudad, nunca imaginé que esta tuviese los mejores atardeceres, siendo honesta toda la costa ofrece hermosos atardeceres pero particularmente estos son uno de mis favoritos, los colores, el contraste y las siluetas bañadas por el sol, son realmente dignas de admirar, definitivamente la naturaleza sí que sabe sorprendernos y esta ocasión no fue la excepción, disfruté al máximo la vista del atardecer, incluso nos quedamos hasta la noche y debo decir que las vistas también son increíbles, las luces de la ciudad contrastan con el mar creando hermosos reflejos en el agua que parece tornarse de color dorado y plata, formando así el escenario perfecto para tomar muchas fotografías, para aprovechar al máximo nuestra estadía y observar los movimientos de los botes, decidimos quedarnos en esta zona y cuando cayó la noche nos trasladamos hacia la parada para tomar el transporte de vuelta, espero muy pronto volver a esta zona y estar antes del atardecer ser para hacer un recorrido más largo.
