Saludos comunidad @needleworkmonday, les deseo un feliz y próspero año en unión de sus seres queridos y los anhelos y deseos de su corazón se hagan realidad, iniciamos un nuevo año con grandes expectativas y metas por cumplir, cada año es un regalo del Padre celestial y una oportunidad para disfrutar con la familia y amigos, esta será mi entrada al desafío NeedleWorkMonday’s Year End Challenge! - A 2023 Reflection moderado por @crosheille, en el cual formula tres tópicos, que nos invitan a evaluar nuestros logros en costura y también cuales son las metas que hemos establecido para este nuevo año.
The year 2023 was a year of great achievements and experiences both personally and in sewing, I had the opportunity to take a series of courses that were very useful and allowed me to learn new techniques to make garments that I had never done before, perhaps for fear of taking on totally unknown challenges and not get the expected results, in the first level of the course we were asked to make a top with the technique of embonado or hidden seam, at first I was not sure if I could do it, After the teacher's explanation I realized that it was not as difficult as I thought, many times without knowing the degree of difficulty I assume that I will not be able to do a certain project or it will be complicated and when I carry it out it turns out that it is not as I had imagined, it is important to take challenges and certain risks aware of the complexity that may have but with determination and enthusiasm, maybe it does not result in the first or second attempt, the important thing is to move forward and progressively it will be achieved.
Among the projects I was able to make and learn from are: Ranglan sleeve flannel for men, with modifications on the front; a base project to make different modifications to adult and children's flannels; the sets with scraps for my son is one of my favorite projects because besides saving money and taking advantage of the fabric scraps, the combinations look great and the design very original and most importantly my super client is happy with the results, that for me reason for satisfaction and motivates me to keep going; the lace raglan sleeve flannel was also a great learning experience, sewing the lace requires patience and dedication, also a specific type of needle to avoid tearing the fabric, the instructor's suggestion was to sew slowly and it worked very well, the result is well worth the time needed to sew this garment that I really like, the lace adds elegance and style.
El año 2023 fue un año de grandes logros y experiencias tanto en lo personal como en la costura, tuve la oportunidad de realizar una serie de cursos que fueron de mucho provecho y me permitieron aprender nuevas técnicas para confeccionar prendas que jamás había hecho tal vez por temor a asumir retos totalmente desconocidos y no obtener los resultados esperados, en el primer nivel del curso nos pidieron elaborar un top con la técnica del embonado o costura escondida, al principio no estaba segura si podía hacerlo, luego de la explicación de la profesora me di cuenta que no era tan difícil como pensaba, muchas veces sin conocer el grado de dificultad asumo que no podré hacer un determinado proyecto o será complicado y cuando lo llevo a cabo resulta que no es como lo había imaginado, es importante asumir retos y ciertos riesgos conscientes de la complejidad que puedan tener pero con determinación y entusiasmo, quizás no resulte al primer o segundo intento lo importante es avanzar y progresivamente se logrará.
Entre los proyectos que pude realizar y fueron de aprendizaje están: Franela manga ranglan para caballero, con modificaciones en la parte delantera; un proyecto base para realizar diferentes modificaciones a las franelas de adultos y niños; los conjuntos con retazos para mi hijo es uno de mis proyectos favoritos porque además de ahorrar dinero y aprovechar los retazos de tela, las combinaciones quedan muy bien y el diseño muy original y lo más importante mi súper cliente es feliz con los resultados, eso para mi motivo de satisfacción y me motiva a seguir adelante; la franela manga ranglan de encaje fue también de gran aprendizaje, coser el encaje requiere paciencia y dedicación, además un tipo de aguja específico para evitar que se rompa la tela, la sugerencia de la instructora fue coser despacio y funcionó muy bien, el resultado bien lo merece dedicar el tiempo necesario para coser esta prenda que por cierto me gusta mucho, el encaje agrega elegancia y estilo.
In addition to learning new sewing techniques I was able to buy patterns for future projects, among them the raglan sleeve flannel which is one of my favorites and patterns to make sports tops, the hot season is approaching and cool and comfortable clothes are ideal for these days, I could also buy large pins with heart, star and feather designs, which are characterized by being strong and durable, also a tape measure practical and easy to carry in your wallet, it has become my ally for classes.
Another important implement for sewing is the thread cutting scissors or pickaxe, it is perfect for removing excess thread and easy to use, the seam ripper is my favorite tool, I consider it the great invention of great help and usefulness at the time of unraveling a seam, I always have it on hand, you never know when it's time to unpick.
Además de aprender nuevas técnica de costura pude comprar patrones para los futuros proyectos, entre ellos la franela manga ranglan que es de mis favoritas y patrones para hacer top deportivos, se acerca la temporada de calor y la ropa fresca y cómoda es ideal para estos días, también pude comprar los alfileres grandes con diseños de corazón, estrella y pluma, que se caracterizan por ser fuertes y duraderos, también una cinta métrica práctica y sencilla de llevar en la cartera, se ha convertido en mi aliada para las clases.
Otro implemento importante para la costura es la tijera corta hilos o piqueta, es perfecta para retirar los excesos de hilo y sencilla de usar, el saca costura es mi herramienta favorita, la considero el gran invento de gran ayuda y utilidad al momento de desbaratar una costura, siempre la tengo a la mano, no se sabe cuando toca descoser.

I have many expectations and plans with knitting, in fact one of the projects in mind is to make a morrocoyita in amigurumi; another of my goals is to make clothes for pets, the dress I made for the spoiled Sharon liked my coworkers and they have asked for dresses for their kittens and dogs, in fact the month of December I made a dress for the kitten of a friend and coworker who was satisfied with the result.
La comunidad tiene grandes artesanos con increíbles talentos que inspiran a crear hermosas obras, entre ellas @kattycrochet, @artsugar, @irenenavarroart, @creacioneslelys y @jonalyn2020; entre otras que destacan por sus hermosos trabajos en crochet y amigurumi, también @marlynmont, @purppleglitter, @monica-ene y @bimpcy, que presentan hermosas confecciones de costura; mi meta para este año es aprender a tejer, hace algún tiempo una amiga me explicó pero solo llegué hasta la cadeneta, ella se mudó de ciudad y tuve que posponer mi meta, aunque siendo honesta pude buscar tutoriales para avanzar en el tejido, pero lo dejé así creo que más por comodidad que por dificultad je, je; ver el gran trabajo que realizan estas talentosas amigas ha sido de inspiración y motivación para aprender a tejer.
Tengo muchas expectativas y planes con el tejido, de hecho uno de los proyectos en mente es hacer una morrocoyita en amigurumi; otra de mis metas es hacer ropa para mascotas, el vestido que hice para la consentida Sharon le gustó a mis compañeras de trabajo y han pedido vestidos para sus gatitas y perritas, de hecho el mes de diciembre hice un vestido para la gatita de una amiga y compañera de trabajo quien quedó satisfecha con el resultado.

Saludos @irenenavarroart, muchas gracias por tu lindo mensaje, coser encaje es requiere paciencia, muchas persona lo cosen a mano , en la máquina se recomienda la aguja número 1o punta de diamante y pasar la puntada lento para evitar que la tela se rompa o se halen los hilos.
