Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV) Maturín - Monagas (Eng - Esp)
Greetings community and friends who love architecture, I wish you a happy day, today I share my tour of the city of Maturin, which was very exciting because I could see again the beautiful attractions of the different city, which were mostly remodeled through the 200 Carabobo program through a joint effort of the mayor, government and crews of workers deployed in the homonymous municipality, being in this city after several years was a nice experience full of memories, nostalgia and mixed feelings; In the company of my parents and sisters I visited several times this city that brings me beautiful and pleasant memories.
On this occasion I will talk about the Bolivarian University of Venezuela, created by disposition of the then President Hugo Chavez as an alternative for young high school graduates to be able to attend university studies in their hometown thus avoiding emigrating to other cities and spending on residence fees and all that a rent implies, currently the university has twelve campuses and several villages in the states where they do not have campuses, offering undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
Saludos comunidad y amigos amantes de la arquitectura, les deseo un feliz día, hoy comparto mi recorrido por la ciudad de Maturín, que fue muy emocionante pues pude ver de nuevo los hermosos atractivos de la ciudad distinta, los cuales en su mayoría fueron remodelados a través del programa 200 Carabobo mediante un trabajo conjunto de la alcaldía, gobernación y cuadrillas de obreros desplegadas en el municipio homónimo, estar en esta ciudad luego de varios años fue una linda experiencia llena de recuerdos, nostalgia y sentimientos encontrados; en compañía de mis padres y hermanas visité varias veces esta ciudad que me trae hermosos y gratos recuerdos.
En esta ocasión les hablaré de la Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela, creada por disposición del entonces presidente Hugo Chávez como una alternativa para que los jóvenes bachilleres pudieran cursar estudios universitarios en su ciudad natal evitando así emigrar a otras ciudades y gastar en pagos de residencia y todo lo que implica un alquiler, actualmente la universidad cuenta con doce sedes y diversas aldeas en los estados donde no disponen de sedes, ofrecen estudios de pre grado y post grado.
The Bolivarian University of Venezuela known by its acronym UBV, Monagas nucleus is located on Bolivar Avenue in Maturin, very close to the "Redoma Juana la Avanzadora"; The university's headquarters was formerly the José Tadeo Monagas military barracks, with a group of friends I had the opportunity to attend the ceremony where the foundation stone of the university was laid, led by President Chávez, who in his speech explained that the mission of the University was to train professionals committed to the development of the country; the university is approximately two decades old, it was inaugurated in 2005.
La Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela conocida por sus siglas UBV, núcleo Monagas se ubica en la Avenida Bolívar de Maturín muy cerca de la "Redoma Juana la Avanzadora"; en la sede de la universidad anteriormente funcionaba el cuartel militar José Tadeo Monagas, con un grupo de amigos tuve la oportunidad de asistir al acto donde se colocó la piedra fundacional de la universidad dirigido por el presidente Chávez, quien en su discurso explicó que la misión de la Universidad era formar profesionales comprometidos con el desarrollo del país; la universidad tiene aproximadamente dos décadas, fue inaugurada el año 2005.
The university building covers one block and also has a perimeter fence and different spaces for the development of scientific, cultural and sports activities, library, computer room, among others; The façade is in the shape of a semi-arch with light brown horizontal lines with the initials UBV, the face Simón Bolívar, the flag and a light blue V on the side, the windows are made of tinted glass, the main entrance is made of glass with columns on the sides and a concrete plaque on the top, The rooms and annexes are made of brick, near the entrance there is a concrete flag and in the back the flagpole to hoist the National Pavilion and a bust of the Liberator, also beautiful Ytzora plants that embellish the entrance of the house of higher studies.
El edificio de la universidad abarca una cuadra y cuenta además con una cerca perimetral y diferentes espacios para el desarrollo de actividades científicas, culturales y deportivas, biblioteca, sala de computación entre otros; la fachada tiene forma de semi arco con líneas horizontales de color marrón claro donde se ubican las siglas UBV, el rostro Simón Bolívar, al lado la bandera y una V de color azul claro, las ventanas son de vidrio polarizado, la entrada principal es de vidrio con columnas a los lado y una placa de concreto en la parte superior, las salas y anexos son de ladrillo, cerca de la entrada se encuentra una bandera de concreto y en la parte de atrás el asta para izar el Pabellón Nacional y un busto del Libertador,también hermosas plantas de Ytzora que embellecen la entrada de la casa de estudios superiores.
The university has spaces for the rest and recreation of the students as well as abundant trees that refresh the environment, it also has a small square where you can see sculptures of different heroes; Francisco de Miranda, Simón Bolívar mounted on his horse, the base of the sculpture is mounted on a concrete pedestal with granite coating, there are also statues of the heroines of the homeland; the walkways are made of concrete with designs of different shapes; the lamps are located in several iron beams distributed on the ground and corridors of the institution.
La universidad tiene espacios para el descanso y esparcimiento de los estudiantes así como abundantes arboles que refrescan el ambiente, cuanta además con una pequeña plaza donde se observan las esculturas de diferentes próceres; Francisco de Miranda, Simón Bolívar montado en su caballo, la base de la escultura está montada en un pedestal de concreto con recubrimiento de granito, también hay estatuas de las heroínas de la patria; las caminerías son de concreto con diseños de diferentes formas; las lámparas se ubican en varias vigas de hierro distribuidas en el terreno y pasillos de la institución.
