Hello creative friends I wish you an excellent and productive day, today I share with you the elaboration of a pajamas for children with Minions motif, it is a gift for a friend's baby, this little tender was born in November and is growing very fast, he needs bigger clothes that allow him to be warm and cozy; baby clothes are one of my favorites, I love sewing for the little ones, they are cute and tender projects that I enjoy making, using comfortable and cool clothes to sleep is very important so that it does not damage the skin.
Hola amigos creativos les deseo un excelente y productivo día, hoy comparto la elaboración de una pijama para niños con motivo de los Minions, es un obsequio para el bebé de una amiga, esta ternurita nació en Noviembre y va creciendo muy rápido, necesita ropas más grandes que le permitan estar abrigadito y calentito; la ropa de bebé es una de mis favoritas, me encanta coser para los chiquitines, son proyectos lindos y tiernos que disfruto hacer, usar ropa cómoda y fresca para dormir es muy importante para que no maltrate la piel.

Using a pajama as a pattern I marked the pieces of the jumpsuit and the flannel, initially the flannel was going to be sleeveless, then I decided to add sleeves and I used scraps of rib fabric left over from a previous project, the sleeves are of different colors; green and yellow; the jumpsuit will have the cuffs in the fabric printed with the minions and the flannel the green cuffs matching the jumpsuit.

Usando una pijama como patrón marque las piezas del mono y la franela, inicialmente la franela iba a ser sin mangas,luego decidí agregar mangas y usé retazos de tela rib que quedaron de un proyecto anterior, las mangas son de diferentes colores; verde y amarillo; el mono llevará los puños en la tela estampad con los minions y la franela los puños verde haciendo juego con el mono
To make the flannel I faced the back and front and joined at the shoulders with a straight stitch, then pinned the sleeves facing the right sides of the fabrics, sewed and zig zagged all the way around.
Para hacer la franela enfrenté el trasero y delantero y uní por los hombros con puntada recta, luego sujeté con alfileres las mangas enfrentando los derechos de las telas, cosí y pasé zig zag por todo el contorno.
Once the sleeves were glued, I closed the sides and sewed the cuffs for the flannel and the jumpsuit, facing the fabrics and sewing the ends with a straight stitch, then I turned over and sewed the edges with ziz zag; to make the collar and cuffs, measure the contour of the piece and subtract six centimeters, in this case because the fabric has enough elongation, otherwise only subtract one centimeter from the contour of the piece (collar, cuff or sash).
Pegadas las mangas cerré los laterales y cosí los puños para la franela y el mono, enfrentando las telas y cosiendo con puntada recta los extremos, luego volteé y cosí con ziz zag los bordes; para hacer el cuello y los puños se mide el contorno de la pieza y se restan seis centímetros, en este caso porque la tela tiene bastante elongación, de no ser así solo se resta un centímetro al contorno de la pieza (cuello, puño o fajín)
I pinned the cuffs, collar and sash facing the right sides of the fabrics and sewed with a straight stitch, and for a better finish I repaired the collar.
Sujeté con alfileres los puños, el cuello y el fajín enfrentando los derechos de las telas y cosí con puntada recta, para un mejor acabado repisé el cuello.
To make the jumpsuit I sewed the front and back straps, then I faced both pieces and closed the legs starting from the center downwards, I also closed the sides, I only need to glue the elastic and the cuffs.
Para hacer el mono cosí los tiros de la parte trasera y delantera, luego enfrenté ambas piezas y cerré las piernas iniciando desde el centro hacia abajo, también cerré los laterales, solo falta pegar el eslástico y los puños
Finally, I measured the elastic (45 centimeters), I sewed on the back of the fabric with ziz zag stitch stretching two (2) by five (5) centimeters, the idea is that it is not too tight and is comfortable for the baby's "tummy"; then I folded the fabric in such a way that it completely covers the elastic to avoid irritating the baby's skin, the last thing was to glue the cuffs, the process is similar to the cuffs of the sleeves, so a comfortable and soft pajamas for little Josue is finished.
Para finalizar, medí el elástico (45 centímetros), cosí por el revés de la tela con puntada de ziz zag estirando dos (2) por cinco (5) centímetros, la idea es que no quede muy ajustada y sea cómoda para la "pancita" del bebé; luego doblé la tela de tal forma que cubra por completo el elástico para evitar que irrite la piel del bebé, lo último fue pegar los puños, el proceso es similar a los puños de las mangas, así está terminada una cómoda y suave pijama para el chiquitin Josue.
