DIY: Beautiful cushion in polar blanket with white and fuchsia rufles ** Hermoso cojín en manta polar con rufles blanco y fucsia (Eng - Esp)
Greetings creative friends around the world, I wish you an excellent weekend together with your loved ones; today is celebrated International Women's Day, my congratulations to those creative, fighter and empowered women who every day strive to achieve their goals and build a better future for her and her family.
On this special day of celebration I share with you a tender creative project for the cute princess Arantza, although she is a few days old she also celebrates this important date; the project is a heart-shaped cushion, in lilac color (light purple), with white and fuchsia rufles, the most used color to make hearts is red, but her mommy liked this color a lot and it is also tender and delicate.
Saludos amigos creativos en todo el mundo, les deseo un excelente fin de semana en unión de sus seres queridos; hoy se celebra el Día internacional de la Mujer, mis felicitaciones para esas mujeres, creativas, luchadoras y empoderadas que cada día se esmeran por lograr sus metas y construir un mejor futuro para ella y su familia.
En este día de celebración especial comparto con ustedes un tierno proyecto creativo para una linda princesa Arantza, aunque tiene pocos días de nacida ella también celebra esta importante fecha, el proyecto se trata de un cojín en forma de corazón, de color lila (morado claro), con rufles blanos y fucsia, el color más usado para hacer corazones es el rojo, pero este color le gustó mucho a su mamita y además es tierno y delicado.

I started by marking the heart, faced the fabric on the right side and marked on the back, then I cut the pieces.

Inicié marcando el corazón, enfrenté la tela por el derecho y marqué en la parte trasera, luego corté las piezas.
To make the rufle I cut four (4) ribbons of white fabric (7 cm wide and the length of the fabric), in the fuchsia fabric I cut strips of three (3) centimeters to the length of the fabric, then I joined the strips according to each color and sewed a hem to the fuchsia fabric, the next step was to sew the fuchsia ribbon to the white ribbon to decorate and highlight the color.
Para hacer el rufle corté cuatro (4) cintas de tela blanca (7 cm de ancho y al largo de la tela), en la tela fucsia corte las tiras de tres (3) centímetros al largo de la tela, luego uní las tiras de acuerdo a cada color y cosí un dobladillo a la tela fucsia, el siguiente paso fue coser la cinta fucsia a la cinta blanca para decorar y resaltar el color.
I made the appliqué with flower printed fabric, with the help of the iron I glued the fabric to the fabric, folded, marked the heart, sewed along the contour, cut the excess fabric and sewed to the front of the cushion, and then I sewed the appliqué on the back of the cushion.
El aplique lo hice con tela estampada de flores, con ayuda de la plancha pegué el pelón a la tela, doblé marqué el corazón, cosí por el contorno, corté el exceso de tela y cosí a la parte delantera del cojín
I hand stitched the ruffle and gathered it to cover the heart outline, pinned and sewed with a straight stitch facing the fabric and the ruffle on the right side, so that when the cushion pieces are joined, the back side of the cushion will be facing down.
Con puntada a mano cosí el rufle y fruncí hasta cubrir el contorno del corazón, sujeté con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta enfrentando la tela y el rufle por el derecho, para que al unir las piezas del cojín este quede con el revés hacia abajo
I pinned the rufle and faced the back and front of the cushion, pinned and sewed using the rufle seam as a guide, left an opening and turned carefully as I removed the pins, then stuffed and closed with a hidden stitch, so a nice cushion for little princess Arantza is finished.
Sujeté el rufle con alfileres y enfrenté la parte trasera y delantera del cojín, fijé con alfileres y cosí usando como guía la costura del rufle, dejé una abertura y volteé con mucho cuidado de no pincharme, a medida que retiraba los alfileres.
Then I stuffed and closed with hidden stitch, so a nice cushion for little princess Arantza is finished.

I liked the combination of lilac with white and fuchsia, it looks great and highlights the ruffles, and the heart applique in the center of the cushion; also the polar blanket fabric is soft and perfect for babies' skin, it is one of my favorite fabrics to make lingerie for the little ones.
La combinación del color lila con blanco y fucsia me gustó, se ve muy bien y resaltan los rufles, y el aplique de corazón en el centro del cojín; además la tela manta polar es suave y perfecta para la piel de los bebés, es una de mis telas favorita para hacer lencería a los chiquitines.

Hola amiga, la tela es suave y muy similar al peluche, la combinación de colores de los rufles me encantó combina muy bien y resalta el colo lila.
