Greetings dear community #neeedleworkmonday, I wish you God bless you and I hope you are enjoying good health with your loved ones, this week has been very active at school the children are presenting their end of term projects and the Christmas party for which they asked for the traditional Christmas hat; 2 years ago I made one for my son, but it no longer fits, so this year I had to make a new one, I went to the fabric store my favorite place and it turns out that the felt and polar blanket fabrics in the colors green and red were sold out, in view of this the monkey fabric is being used to make the hats is a little stiff but it works to make the hat.
Due to the stiffness and thickness of the fabric after gluing the bottom tape, I re-stitched with a straight stitch to secure the seam and smooth the fit of the hat on the head, so that it does not hurt or squeeze. The elaboration of this hat is simple and in a few steps, I show you the process.

Saludos estimada comunidad #neeedleworkmonday, deseo que Dios les bendiga y se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud en unión de sus seres queridos, esta semana ha estado muy activa en la escuela los niños están presentando sus proyectos de final de lapso y el parrandón navideño para lo cual les pidieron el tradicional gorro navideño; hace 2 años le hice uno a mi hijo, pero ya no le queda, así que este año me tocó hacer uno nuevo, fui a la tienda de telas mi lugar favorito y resulta que se agotaron las telas de fieltro y manta polar en los colores verde y rojo, en vista de ello se está usando la tela de mono para hacer los gorros, es un poco rígida pero sirve para hacer el gorro.
Debido a lo rígido y grueso de la tela luego de pegar la cinta de abajo, repisé con puntada recta para asegura la costura y suavizar el ajuste del gorro en la cabeza, de tal forma que no maltrate ni presione. La elaboración de este gorro es sencilla y en pocos pasos, les muestro el proceso.
MATERIALES
Tela de mono.
Manta polar blanca
Tela navideña
Guata.
Monkey fabric.

PROCEDURE
To start I took the measurement of my son's head circumference (58 cm) and divided it in two (29 cm) I added 2 cm for the seam (60 cm), with these measurements I traced the base of the triangles that will form the hat (30 cm) and the height 35 cm.
PROCEDIMIENTO
Para iniciar tomé la medida de circunferencia cefálica de mi hijo (58 cm) y lo dividí en dos (29 cm) le agregué 2 cm para la costura (60 cm), con estas medidas tracé la base de los triángulos que formarán el gorro (30 cm) y la altura 35 cm.
I cut the triangles, 1 strip in fleece blanket of 61 * 10 cm and another in decorative ribbon 4 cm wide * 61 cm long.
Corté los triángulos, 1 tira en manta polar de 61 * 10 cm y otra en cinta decorativa de 4 cm de ancho * 61 cm de largo.
I sewed a hem to the decorative ribbon on both sides, folded the polar blanket strip in half, pinned the decorative ribbon and sewed with straight stitch to the polar blanket. I also joined the triangles with a straight stitch, facing right sides together, leaving the bottom unsewn.
Cosí un dobladillo a la cinta decorativa por ambos lados, doblé la tira de manta polar por la mitad, con alfileres sujeté la cinta decorativa y cosí con puntada recta a la manta polar. También uní los triángulos con puntada recta, enfrentando derecho con derecho, dejando la parte de abajo sin coser.
I folded the polar blanket ribbon and stitched the ends to close, then I faced the ribbon and the bottom of the hat right sides together, pinned and stitched, turned and repeated.
Doblé la cinta de manta polar y pasé costura por los extremos para cerrar, luego enfrenté derecho con derecho la cinta y parte de abajo del gorro, sujeté con alfileres y pasé costura, volteé y repisé.
I cut a circle in polar blanket, filled it with wadding and with hand stitching, I made the ball that goes on the top of the hat, glued it and this way the hat is ready for the Christmas party!
Corté un círculo en manta polar, rellené con guata y con costura a mano, hice la bola que va en la parte superior del gorro, la pegué y de esta forma el gorro está listo para el parrandon Navideño!
My son is very happy with his new hat and ready for the parrandon.

Quedó muy lindo el gorro, es verdad que en esta época se agotan esos colores en fieltro y también en hilos para tejer. El gorro de mi hijo también le está quedando pequeño así que ya para la próxima navidad debo hacer otro. Saludos 😊
Hola @irenenavarroart, gracias por tu apreciación; en esta temporada resulta difícil conseguir esos colores, incluso la tela de mono también está escasa solo hay color rojo, el verde se acabó; los niños crecen muy rápido y no nos damos cuenta amiga.
