DIY: Creative craft – dog-themed party favor bag (Eng - Esp)
Hello #Hive friends and the @mundo.autismo community! It is a pleasure to greet you and wish you an excellent, blessed day with your loved ones. I am happy to share a new installment of the Creative Art column; this time, we will be making a dog-themed tote bag. These bags are ideal for outings and carrying essentials, and they are very simple to make, requiring only a few materials.
¡Hola, amigos de #Hive y de la comunidad @mundo.autismo! Es un placer saludarles y desearles un día excelente y bendecido junto a sus seres queridos. Me alegra compartir una nueva entrega de la sección de Arte Creativo; en esta ocasión, elaboraremos una bolsa de tela con temática de perros. Estas bolsas son ideales para salidas y para llevar lo esencial, además de ser muy sencillas de hacer, ya que requieren pocos materiales.
This is an excellent project to do with children, as it allows them to:
Develop manual skills.
Stimulate creativity.
Exercise motor skills and concentration.
Identify colors and textures.
Work in a group and follow instructions.
Sewing can be done by machine or by hand; if the latter option is chosen, adult supervision is essential to prevent accidental pricks while sewing. Children can also handle the fabric cutting.
Es un proyecto excelente para trabajar con los niños pues les permite:
Desarrollar habilidades manuales.
Estimular la creatividad.
Ejercitar la motricidad y concentración
Identificar colores y
texturas.Trabajar en grupo y seguir instrucciones.
La costura se puede realizar a máquina o a mano, si se emplea la segunda opción, es de suma importancia bajo la supervisión de un adulto para evitar posibles pinchazos al momento de coser, los niños también pueden realizar los cortes de la tela.

The first step was to cut two 38 x 74 cm rectangles—which would form the front and back of the bag—as well as two 8 cm strips for the drawstring channels.

El primer paso fue cortar dos rectángulos de 38 * 74 cm, que serán el delantero y posterior del bolso, también dos tiras de 8 centímetros para las correderas.
Next, I sewed a hem along the sides and the top edge to prevent the fabric from fraying; I also sewed on the strips that would serve as tabs for securing the drawstring.
Seguidamente cosí un dobladillo en los costados y en la parte superior para evitar que la tela se hilache, también cosí las tiras que servirán de pestaña para fijar el cordón.
After sewing the edges, I made a 1.5-centimeter hem at the top, pinned it in place, and sewed it with a straight stitch; this will serve as the channel for the drawstring.
Cosidos los bordes, hice un dobladillo de 1,5 centímetros en la parte superior, fijé con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta, este será el túnel para pasar el cordón.
Then, I placed the two rectangles right sides together and pinned them; at the bottom edge, I positioned the tab for the cord, keeping the ends facing inward and the fold facing outward. I pinned it in place and sewed a seam extending from the top hemline to the other end.
Luego enfrenté por el derecho ambos rectángulos, fijé con alfileres y en la parte inferior coloqué la pestaña para el cordón, dejando los extremos hacia adentro y el doblez hacia afuera; fijé con alfileres y pasé costura desde la unión del dobladillo superior hasta el otro extremo.
Once the bag was sewn, I cut two cords—each one meter long—and carefully threaded them through the casing at the top. I fed the first cord through, leaving one end hanging out; upon completing the loop, I tied a knot to prevent it from slipping back inside the casing. To insert the second cord, I started on the side opposite the first knot and repeated the process. After circling the entire opening, I sealed the cord ends with a lighter and tied them at the tab, completing a lovely dog-themed bag.
Cosido el bolso, corté dos cordones cada uno de un metro de largo, luego los coloqué en el pasa cinta y con cuidado lo introduje por el túnel de la parte superior; pasé el primer cordón dejando uno de los extremos afuera y al terminar el contorno se hace un nudo, para evitar que se suelte y quede dentro del túnel, para colocar el otro cordón inicié en el lado contrario donde quedó el nudo e hice el mismo procedimiento, luego de cubrir todo el contorno, se sellan las puntas utilizando un yesquero o encendedor y se amarran en la pestaña, así está terminado un lindo bolso con motivo de perro.
