Hello friends lovers of threads and needles, another week goes by and with it ends the month of May, to give way to the first half of the year, definitely the days go by very fast and the heat wave still continues in my city, the temperature has been high with small variations in the morning hours, which I take advantage of to advance in my sewing projects, this time I sew a V-neck flannel for my nephew, he is going to 5th grade and this is the perfect occasion to give him a gift for his school grades, the flannel has two colors, black on the back, blue on the front and the 3/4 sleeves in two colors too.
I wanted to make the collar in the same fabric as the flannel but finally I decided to use rib, this fabric has an excellent texture and above all elongation ideal for the collars and cuffs,
Hola amigos amantes de los hilos y las agujas, transcurre otra semana y con ella finaliza el mes de mayo, para dar paso al primer semestre del año, definitivamente los días transcurren muy rápido y la ola de calor el calor aún continua en mi ciudad, la temperatura ha estado alta con pequeñas variaciones en horas de la mañana, las cuales aprovecho para avanzar en mis proyectos de costura, en esta ocasión aprovechan los retazos de tela que quedaron del conjunto deportivo azul negro, cosí una franela con en V para mi sobrino, va para 5 grado y esta es la ocasión perfecta para darle un obsequio por sus calificaciones escolares, la franela tiene dos colores, negro en la parte trasera, azul en el delantero y la mangas 3/4 en dos colores también.
El cuello lo quería hacer en la misma tela de la franela pero finalmente me decidí por usar rib esta tela tiene una excelente textura y sobre todo elongación ideal para los cuellos y puños.

En este punto solo falta pegar el cuello y coser el ruedo, para hacer el cuello se mide el contorno de este, luego restamos dos centímetros a la tela (62- 2= 60) se dobla la tira y unimos con puntada recta los extremos, uno encima del otro formando así la V, seguidamente llevamos a la franela y hacemos coincidir la punta del rib o cuello con la terminación del escote delantero, se cosen aproximadamente 10 cm hasta llegar a la punta del cuello y escote, sin sacar la aguja giramos la tela y cosemos 10 cm más en el otro lado del cuello.

Fijado el cuello, cosemos por el revés el rib estirando 0,5 cm, la franela no se estira; cosido el cuello repisamos y finalmente hacemos un dobladillo de 1,5 cm para el ruedo, así está terminada la franela.
It is the first time I sew a V-neck and I am happy with the result, definitely the Rib fabric is very good for collars, I had a little difficulty at first, to turn the fabric and match both ends, then I saw a tutorial, sent by the instructor of the sewing course and clarified my doubt I went ahead; I love this type of neck gives a casual and youthful style to the flannel, I think that from now on I will sew many V-necks heh, heh.
