DIY: Party bag with bee sticker (Eng - Esp)
Greetings to my fellow artisans and creatives in the @hivediy community! I hope you are enjoying good health and having a wonderful and blessed week with your loved ones. This time, I'm sharing a tutorial for making a party bag from Oxford taffeta fabric. This fabric is semi-waterproof, easy to work with, and perfect for this type of bag.
These bags are often used for birthday party favors, quick outings, and even for carrying sewing and craft supplies to school. They're simple to make and practical, and can also be used as a bag for toiletries and small items of clothing. The school year is coming to an end, and I've received several orders to make these bags, which will be given to a group of students for their outstanding performance. This is one of them, and I'll be sharing the other designs soon. It's dark green and decorated with a cute bee because the students who will receive them are participating in an English contest whose slogan and image is a cute and friendly bee. Saludos amigos artesanos y creativos de la comunidad @hivediy, deseo se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud y tengan una excelente y bendecida semana, en unión de sus seres queridos, en esta ocasión les comparto la elaboración de un bolso para cotillón elaborado en tela tafeta oxford, esta tela es semi impermeable, fácil de manejar y adecuada para este tipo de bolsos,
Se suelen usar para los cotillones de los cumpleaños, también en las salidas rápidas, Incluso para llevar al colegio y guardar herramientas y materiales de costura y manualidades, es sencillo de hacer y práctico, se puede emplear como una bolsa cuando necesitamos llevar productos de aseo personal y ropa pequeña; está finalizando el año escolar y me han llegado varios pedidos para realizar estos bolsos que serán obsequiados a un grupo de estudiantes por su destacado rendimiento, este es uno de ellos y próximamente compartiré los otros diseños, su color es verde oscuro y está decorado con una linda abeja porque los estudiantes que los recibirán participarán en un concurso de inglés cuyo slogan e imagen es una linda y simpática abeja, les invito me acompañen en el proceso de elaboración.

The first step was to cut a rectangle measuring 38 x 68 cm. Then I sewed a hem at the ends, approximately 3 cm wide, which will be used to thread the cord.

El primer paso fue cortar un rectángulo de 38 * 68 cm, luego cosí un dobladillo en los extremos de aproximadamente 3 cm de ancho, este será para pasar el cordón.
After sewing the hems, I secured them with pins and, using the measuring tape, measured the height of the bag and marked 1.5 cm at the bottom, to leave an opening when closing the sides, which will be used to close the ends of the cords after passing them through the upper hems or tunnels.
Cocido los dobladillos sujeté con alfileres y con ayuda de la cinta métrica medí la altura del bolso y marqué 1.5 cm en la parte inferior, para dejar una abertura al momento de cerrar los costados, la cual será para cerrar las puntas de los cordones luego de pasarlos por los dobladillos o túneles superiores.
The next step was to close the sides, taking care to leave a 1.5 cm opening at the bottom to insert the ends of the laces.
El siguiente paso fue cerrar los costados, cuidando de dejar la abertura de 1.5 cm en la parte inferior, para colocar los extremos de los cordones,
With the sides closed, I cut two cords, each one meter long. Then I placed them in the ribbon loop and carefully inserted it through the hem at the top. First, one cord is passed through, leaving one end outside, and when the perimeter is finished, a knot is made to prevent it from coming loose and remaining inside the tunnel. To place the other cord, start on the opposite side where the knot was and do the same procedure. After covering the entire perimeter, a knot is made and the ends are sealed using a lighter or match.
Cerrados los costados, corté dos cordones cada uno de un metro de largo, luego los coloqué en el pasa cinta y con mucho cuidado lo introduje por el dobladillo de la parte superior, se pasa primero un cordón dejando uno de los extremos afuera y al terminar el contorno se hace un nudo, para evitar que éste se suelte y quede dentro del túnel, para colocar el otro se inicia en el lado contrario donde quedó el nudo y hacemos el mismo procedimiento, luego de cubrir todo el contorno se hace un nudo y se sellan las puntas utilizando un yesquero o encendedor.
Finally, I inserted the ends of the cords through the opening at the bottom, secured them with pins, and sewed several stitches for reinforcement; with these simple steps, a cute bee-themed party bag is finished.
Para finalizar, la introduje los extremos de los cordones por la abertura que quedó en la parte inferior, sujeté con alfileres y pasé varias costuras para reforzar; con estos sencillos pasos está terminado un lindo bolso de cotillón con motivo de abeja.
Making this bag was quite simple and took me very little time, even less than I had estimated. The bee sticker definitely looks great and gives it a youthful and cute style. I hope this tutorial is helpful for making these simple bags. You can use fabric from pants and clothes that are no longer worn, giving these garments a second life and creating beautiful and practical bags that can be useful for the whole family.
Hacer este bolso fue bastante sencillo y me tomó poco tiempo, incluso menos del que tenía estimado, definitivamente el sticker de abeja le queda muy bien y le da un estilo juvenil y tierno; espero este tutorial les sea de utilidad para realizar estos sencillos bolsos, en su elaboración se puede emplear telas de pantalones y ropa que ya no se usan, así se le da una segunda oportunidad a estas prendas y se crean hermosos y prácticos bolsos que pueden ser de utilidad para toda la familia.
