Welcome to the first installment of the Creative Art column of 2026. This time, we'll be making a beautiful blue flower, perfect for decorating pencils and giving to teachers on their special day, which was celebrated on January 15th and aims to honor teachers for the wonderful work they do in the classroom and the education they provide to children.
It's a simple project that requires few materials. The color of the flower depends on each child's preference; they can also combine two or more colors. The idea is for children to develop their creativity in making a gift for their teacher. In addition to the flower, there are heart, bear, and other designs to decorate the pencils.
Hola amigos de #Hive y comunidad @mundo.autismo, es un placer saludarles, deseo que tengan un feliz fin de semana en unión de sus seres queridos, bienvenido a la primera entrega de la columna Arte Creativo del año 2026, en esta oportunidad estaremos elaborando una hermosa flor en color azul, ideal para decorar los lapices y obsequiar al maestro en su día, fecha que se celebró el pasado 15 de enero y tiene como objetivo homenajear a los maestros por la hermosa labor que desarrollan en el aula de clase y la enseñanza que imparten a los niños.
Es un proyecto sencillo de hacer y requiere pocos materiales, el color de la flor depende del gusto de cada niño, también pueden combinar dos o más colores, la idea es que los niños desarrollen su creatividad en el obsequio para la maestra, además de la flor, hay motivos de corazón, osos y más para decorar el lápiz.
This project is easy to do with young children, always supervising their use of scissors and tools. Liquid glue can be substituted for the glue sticks. The activity has several benefits for children, such as:
*Developing fine motor skills.
*Teamwork.
*Identifying colors.
*Stimulating creativity and imagination.
*Following instructions.
*Personalizing pencils with favorite colors and materials.
*Developing eye-hand coordination.
*Recognizing textures.
*Creating unique projects according to their creativity.
Este proyecto es sencillo de hacer con los chiquitines, supervisando siempre el uso de tijeras y herramientas, el silicón en barra se puede sustituir por silicón líquido, la actividad tiene varios beneficios para los niños, tales como:
*Ejercita la motricidad.
*Trabajo en equipo
*Identifica colores
*Estimula la creatividad y la imaginación.
*Sigue instrucciones
*Personaliza los lapices con los colores y materiales favoritos.
*Desarrolla habilidades óculo - motoras

The materials used were:
Foam sheet
Hot glue sticks
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Dowel
Ruler
Circular container (glass)

Elaboration
With the materials organized, I began making the flower. I cut a 20 x 8 centimeter rectangle in blue, another in green measuring 4 x 6 centimeters, and with the help of a glass, I marked a circle that will be used to make the leaves. I like to use a stick when marking; it doesn't leave marks, and the line it leaves on the foam is very useful when cutting.

Con los materiales organizados inicié la elaboración de la flor, corté un rectángulo de 20 * 8 centímetros en color azul, otro en color verde de 4 * 6 centímetros y con ayuda de un vaso marqué un círculo que será para hacer las hojas, me gusta usar palilo de altura al momento de marcar, no deja manchas y la línea que deja en el foami es de gran utilidad al momentro de cortar .
With the pieces cut, the next step was to fold the blue rectangle in half and make several straight cuts from the fold to the edges, leaving a margin of approximately 0.5 cm. Then I turned it inside out, placed the piece with the reverse side facing up, added hot glue, pressed it down, and let it dry.
Con las piezas cortadas, el siguiente paso fue doblar el rectángulo azul por la mitad y hacer varios cortes en línea recta, desde el doblez hasta los bordes, dejando un margen de aproximadamente 0.5 cm, luego volteé por el revés luego coloqué la pieza enfrentando el revés agregué silicón caliente presioné y dejé secar.
Next, I glued the green rectangle to the top of the pencil, also using silicone. To make the leaf, I folded the circle several times and, using the fold lines as a guide, marked several petals and rounded the edges. I also made a hole in the center of the leaf.

The next step was to glue the flower to the pencil. I placed enough silicone on the green rectangle, also on the edge of the blue rectangle, and glued it until the entire outline was covered. As it was covered, the flower was formed. I carefully joined them, trying to make sure the edges were at the same level.
El siguiente paso fue pegar la flor al lápiz, coloqué suficiente silicón en el rectángulo verde, también en el borde del rectángulo azul y pegué hasta cubrir todo el contorno, a medida que se cubre se va formando la flor, uní con cuidado tratando que los bordes queden al mismo nivel.
Then I inserted the leaf, added silicone to each petal and glued it down, pressing a little. I let it dry and that's how a beautiful pencil decorated with a blue flower is finished, to give to the teacher; I wanted to give it a different style and added a Super Mario sticker, a fun and charismatic character that children and adults like a lot.
Luego introduje la hoja, agregué silicón a cada pétalo y pegué presionando un poco, dejé secar y así está terminado uno hermoso lápiz decorado con flor azul, para obsequiar a la maestra; quise darle un estilo diferente y agregué un sticker de Super Mario, un personaje divertido y carismático que gusta mucho a los niños y adultos.
I loved the pencil decoration; the blue flower looks great, and the Mario sticker adds a nice touch. It's a beautiful and simple gift for teachers, friends, or family.
