Hello yarn loving community, I wish you a blessed week, the days are advancing quickly, Christmas is fast approaching and while I continue taking advantage of the scraps to make ornaments, this time I share with you the elaboration of a leaf shaped cup holders, I made it in various colors because I like the Fall, in that beautiful season the leaves change color and it is nice to see the shades they take as the season progresses, it is a simple project to do and very useful to place the glasses and avoid wetting the tablecloth of the table, it is also ideal to place the cup of coffee or tea, while we enjoy every sip.
Hola comunidad amante de los hilos, les deseo una bendecida semana, los días avanzan rápidamente, la Navidad se acerca velozmente y mientras sigo aprovechando los retazos para hacer adornos, en esta ocasión les comparto la elaboración de unos posa vasos en forma de hoja, la hice de varios colores porque me gusta el Otoño, en esa hermosa estación las hojas cambian de de color y es lindo ver las tonalidades que toman a medida que avanza la estación, es un proyecto sencillo de hacer y muy útil para colocar los vasos y evitar mojar el mantel de la mesa, también es ideal para colocar la taza de café o té, mientras disfrutamos cada sorbo.

I started by marking the leaves on each piece of fabric, then I cut the leaves and also several leaves in jeans fabric that I will use as stuffing and sopare for the leaves, because it is a stiff and medium thick fabric it will give firmness to the leaves.
Inicié marcando las hojas en cada retazo de tela, luego corté las hojas y también varias hojas en tela de jeans que usaré como relleno y sopare para las hojas, por ser una tela rígida y medianamente gruesa dará firmeza a las hojas.
Then I ironed each piece and assembled the sheets by placing the lining fabric, the jeans sheet, which is smaller than the sheets; since I want to highlight the center a little and leave a margin of two (2) centimeters around the edge of the sheet, on top of the main fabric and pinned the pieces to secure them when sewing.
Luego planché cada pieza y armé las hojas colocando la tela de forro, la hoja en jeans, que es más pequeña que las hojas; ya que quiero resaltar un poco el centro y dejar un margen de dos (2) centímetros por el borde de la hoja, encima la tela principal y sujeto con alfileres las piezas para asegurarlas al momento de coser.
I sewed all the contour with straight stitch, leaving a margin of 1.5 centimeters, then I cut the edges with the zigzag scissors to give it a realistic look.
Cosí todo el contorno con puntada recta, dejando un margen de 1,5 centímetros, luego corté los bordes con la tijera de zigzag para darle un aspecto realista.
The last step was to make the ribs, for this I marked the lines on the fabric and sewed with zig zag stitch, with these simple steps the cup holders are ready, which in addition to decorate the table allow us to take care of the tablecloth and kitchen counters.
El último paso es hacer las nervaduras, para ello marqué las líneas en la tela y cosí con puntada de zig zag, con estos sencillos pasos ya están listos los posa vasos, que además de adornar la mesa nos permiten cuidar el mantel y mesones de la cocina.
The fabric scraps allow us to create new projects to beautify the different areas of the house, in them we can combine the colors that we like according to the scraps that we have, it's amazing the variety of scraps that I got in the super bag, from baby fabrics to Christmas fabrics that I never imagined they were there, which I plan to use in future projects; in total I made nine (9) reversible cup holders in various colors that represent the degradation of the color of the leaves in the autumn season.
Los retazos de tela nos permiten crear nuevos proyectos para embellecer las diferentes áreas de la casa, en ellos podemos combinar los colores que más nos gusten de acuerdo a los retazos que dispongamos, es increíble la variedad de retazos que he conseguido en la super bolsa, desde telas para bebés hasta telas navideñas que jamás imaginé que estaban allí, la cuales pienso usar en futuros proyectos; en total hice nueve (9)posa vasos reversibles en varios colores que representan la degradación del color de las hojas en la época de otoño.

Es una forma diferente de hacer un posa vasos ya que por lo general solemos verlos en forma redonda a lo mucho hexagonal o cuadrados, pero estos en forma de hojas captarán toda la atención de los invitados a tu mesa. Quedaron muy bonitos y con diseño muy auténtico
Hola amiga, gracias por tu lindo comentario, la idea inicial era hacerlos redondo, pero por la variedad de colores en las telas en especial el naranja, pensé que unas hojas quedarían mejor para aprovechar las telas, a mi familia le gustó el resultado y a mi también, la degradación de colores es genial.
