Greetings @needleworkmonday community, I hope you are enjoying good health and have a great day, a new week begins and with it the opportunities to finish or start sewing projects, last week my sewing projects were focused on making underwear for children and especially for little Aaron spoiled baby aunt heh, heh, this time I made two boxers in micro melagne fabric 180 taking advantage of the scraps of my super bag.
During my day of cleaning and organization of sewing materials I found several scraps of fabric ideal for underwear for its softness, freshness and texture, this fabric in particular I like for its texture, thickness and easy handling when sewing.
Saludos comunidad @needleworkmonday, espero se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud y tengan un excelente día, una nueva semana inicia y con ella las oportunidades para terminar o iniciar los proyectos de costura, la semana pasada mis proyectos de costura estuvieron enfocados en hacer ropa interior para niños y especialmente para el pequeño Aarón bebé consentido de la tía je, je, en esta ocasión elaboré dos boxer en tela micro melagne 180 aprovechando los retazos de mi súper bolsa.
Durante mi jornada de limpieza y organización de los materiales de costura encontré varios retazos de tela ideales para ropa interior por su suavidad, frescura y textura, esta tela en particular me gusta por su textura, grosor y fácil manejo al coser.

Organized the fabrics I marked and cut the pieces of the boxer, back front and gusset, the front consists of four pieces that are joined with the center and in this way the front of the boxer is completely assembled; first I sewed the gusset or bag from bottom to top with straight stitch, facing the right side.
Organizadas la telas marqué y corté las piezas de los boxer, trasero delantero y refuerzo, la parte delantera consta de cuatro piezas que se unen con el centro y de esta forma se arma completamente el delantero del boxer; primero cosí el refuerzo o bolsa desde abajo hacia arriba con puntada recta, enfrentando por el derecho.
Then I pinned the side pieces to each side of the center and sewed with straight stitch and double stitched for reinforcement.
Luego sujeté con alfileres a cada lado del centro las piezas laterales y cosí con puntada recta y pasé costura doble para reforzar.
I faced front and back, pinned and closed the sides; I also sewed the crotch, here it is important to match the lower ends to obtain the arched shape.
Enfrenté trasero y delantero, sujeté con alfileres y cerré los lados; también cosí la entrepierna, aquí es importante hacer que coincidan los extremos inferiores para obtener la forma arqueada
Once the boxer is assembled, I sewed the hem, making a hem of approximately half (1/2) centimeter.
Armado el boxer, cosí el ruedo haciendo un dobladilo de aproximadamente medio (1/2) centímetro.
The last step is to glue the elastic, initially I was going to use white elastic, then I remembered that I had left some elastic from a previous project and decided to use it, to know the amount required for the boxer I measured the waist circumference and subtracted seven (7) centimeters, then I joined the elastic at the ends and divided it into four parts, I placed it facing the fabric, sewed at the top with a straight stitch, turned it up and repeated with a straight stitch, so the boxers are finished.
El último paso es pegar el elástico, inicialmente iba a usar elástico blanco, luego recordé que había quedado elástico de un proyecto anterior y decidí usarlo, para saber la cantidad que requiere el boxer medí el contorno de cintura y le resté siete (7) centímetros, luego uní el elástico por los extremos y lo dividí en cuatro partes lo coloqué enfrentado con la tela, cosí en la parte superior con puntada recta, volteé hacia arriba y repisé con puntada recta, así están terminados los boxer.
I love sewing clothes for kids, they are those kind of projects that help me to relax and concentrate on putting together each part while I imagine the babies wearing their new outfit, they look adorable and cute, definitely the micro melagne fabric is perfect for babies, besides being comfortable and cool it has the right thickness for these garments, it is a little thicker than the micro peach and also with less elongation, the micro melagne is characterized by having the gray background and star designs, Mickey Mouse and polka dots, I would like to add other designs to this fabric, so the variety would be wider and the options to combine.
Coser ropita para niños me encanta, son ese tipo de proyectos que me ayudan a relajarme y concentrarme en armar cada parte mientras imagino a los bebés luciendo su nuevo atuendo, se ven adorable y cuchis, definitivamente la tela micro melagne es perfecta para los bebés, además de cómoda y fresca tiene el grosor adecuado para estas prendas, es un poco más gruesa que la micro durazno y también con menor elongación, la micro melagne se caracteriza por tener el fondo gris y diseños de estrella, Mickey Mouse y lunares, me gustaría que agregaran otros diseños a esta tela, así la variedad sería más amplia y las opciones para combinar.
