Flower Shaped Baby Quilt // Acolchado en Forma de Flor para Bebé. [ENG_ESP]
Hello dear community, #needleworkmonday, I wish you are enjoying good health and have a blessed and prosperous week, it is a pleasure to share with you; this time the elaboration of a baby quilt in the shape of a flower; as I said in previous posts I love sewing baby clothes, this quilt is for the daughter of a very dear cousin, sewing baby lingerie is very fun for me, I like to combine fabrics and textures, taking care that they are as soft as possible to avoid mistreating the delicate skin of babies.
This project consists of 3 pieces: quilt, cover and sheet, the last two are still in process, soon I will share the results, the quilts that I have regularly sewn have a rectangular shape, this time I wanted to vary a little and I did it in a circular shape simulating a flower and I really liked the result.
Hola estimada comunidad, #needleworkmonday, deseo se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud y tengan una bendecida y prospera semana, es un placer compartir con ustedes; en esta ocasión la elaboración de un acolchado para bebé en forma de flor; como he dicho en publicaciones anteriores me encanta coser ropa para bebés, este acolchado es para la hija de una prima muy querida, coser lencería de bebé es muy divertido para mi, me gusta combinar telas y texturas, cuidando que sean lo más suaves posible para no maltratar la delicada piel de los bebés.
Este proyecto consta de 3 piezas: Acolchado, funda y sábana, los dos últimos aún están en proceso de elaboración, próximamente compartiré los resultados, los acolchados que regularmente he cosido tiene forma rectangular, en esta oportunidad quise variar un poco y lo hice en forma circular simulando una flor y el resultado me gustó mucho.
The fabrics used in this project were:
Printed Dacron (1 mt)
Green Dacron (50 cm)
Fuchsia microfiber sheet (1/2 mt)
Wadding (75 cm)
Green and pink thread
Scissors
Soap.
Ruler.
Cover (as a mold)
Las telas usadas en este proyecto fueron:
Dacrón estampado (1 mt)
Dacrón verde (50 cm)
Sábana microfibra fucsia (1/2 mt)
Guata (75 cm)
Hilo verde y rosado
Tijera
Jaboncillo.
Regla.
Tapa (como molde)
Using lids as a mold I marked 2 circles, one in printed fabric and the other in green fabric, then carefully cut out.
Usando tapas como molde marqué 2 círculos uno en tela estampada y el otro en tela verde, luego corté con mucho cuidado.
Then I marked a circle in the center of the printed fabric and cut,

With a straight stitch I glued the green circle on the printed fabric, I also sewed some straight lines on the green fabric to quilt and simulate the center of the flower.
Con puntada recta pegué el círculo verde en la tela estampada, también cosí unas líneas rectas en la tela verde para acolchar y simular el centro de la flor.
From the fuchsia fabric I marked and cut 3 strips of 7 cm that will be the ruffles of the quilt.
De la tela fucsia marqué y corté 3 tiras de 7 cm que serán los volados del acolchado.
I joined these strips with a straight stitch and sewed a hem on the top.
Uní estas tiras con puntada recta y cosí un dobladillo en la parte de arriba.
I glued the ruffle all around with straight stitch, facing right sides together, folding every 5 centimeters.
Pegué el volado por todo el contorno con puntada recta, enfrentando derecho con derecho, doblando cada 5 centímetros.
Then I cut 1 square in lining fabric, faced the flower and the lining right sides together, pinned and sewed with a straight stitch.
Luego corté en tela de forro 1 cuadrado, enfrenté derecho con derecho la flor y el forro sujeté con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta.
I left an opening of approximately 10 cm, to turn the piece over, then closed with a straight stitch.
Dejé una abertura de aproximadamente 10 cm, para voltear la pieza, luego cerré con puntada recta.

Hola @imena, gracias por tu amable comentario, no sabía si combinarla con verde o rojo, luego de probar ambas combinaciones la verde me pareció muy tierna para la bebé.

Es muy hermoso, me gusta que lo hayas hecho en forma de una flor, a las madres le gustan los accesorios bonitos para sus bebés. Y también que le quedan muy bien a los pequeños.
Buena idea con éste acolchado, me gusta los colores que utilizaste son encantadores.

Hola @lauramica, la lencería de bebé es tan tierna, en mi caso me encanta coser para bebés puedes agregar tantos detalles, combinar telas o hacerlo sencillo y son super tiernos, es una especie de manta para cubrir o acostar al bebé y mantenerlo abrigado.
Me alegra que te haya gustado, con este tipo de proyectos la parte maternal aflora al máximo.
