Historic Museum of Carúpano part II; Photo Gallery (Eng - Esp)
Continuing with my visit to the Historical Museum of Carúpano (Capital of the Bermúdez municipality in the state of Sucre), I share with you a series of photographs with the theme "Carúpano yesterday and today", in them you can see the main streets of the city and its outstanding mud and conical roof constructions, You can also see the Santa Rosa square, an important meeting point for the inhabitants of the city, it has large trees and in front of it is located a striking two-storey house with a balcony on top, the museum also has a collection of seashells of various sizes and shapes.
Continuando con mi visita al Museo Histórico de Carúpano (Capital del municipio Bermúdez estado Sucre), les comparto una serie de fotografía que tienen como temática "Carúpano de ayer y hoy", en ellas se observan las principales calles de la ciudad y sus destacadas construcciones de barro y techo cónico, se aprecia también la plaza santa rosa, un importante punto de encuentro para los habitantes de la ciudad, esta tiene grandes arboles y al frente se ubica una llamativa casa de dos plantas con balcón en la parte superior, el museo cuenta también con una colección de conchas marinas de variados tamaños y formas.
The following group of photos corresponds to outstanding buildings of the city, some are in black and white and they show two long streets and large family houses belonging to the families of landowners and businessmen of the city in colonial times, the windows and doors of the houses are shaped like semi-arch with double leaf, there are also those with large windows and rectangular wooden doors, many of them have been restored and retain some of their original design, in particular one of them caught my attention by the number of doors and windows.
El siguiente grupo de fotos corresponde a destacadas edificaciones de la ciudad algunas son en blanco y negro y en ellas se aprecian dos calles largas y grandes casonas familiares pertenecientes a las familias de hacendados y empresarios de la ciudad en la época colonial; ,las ventanas y puertas de las casas tienen forma de semi arco con doble hoja, también las hay con ventanales y puertas de madera rectangulares muchas de ellas han sido restauradas y conservan en parte su diseño original,en particular una de ellas llamó mi atención por la cantidad de puertas y ventanas.
In the last three pictures you can see the different means of transportation and its evolution, also the train stop and a group of people waiting to board, this train traveled through part of the nearby municipalities, its route ended in El Pilar (Capital of the Benitez municipality) where the main cocoa producers were located that supplied the demand of the main chocolate producing company in the east of the country owned by a family of German origin.
It was a nice experience to visit this museum, the guide is a very kind lady who with patience and affection explains the history of the city and the pieces and objects that are exhibited in the museum, I hope to return again to learn a little more of this charming city.
En las tres últimas fotografías se observan los diferentes medios de transporte y su evolución, además la parada del tren y un grupo de personas esperando para abordar, este recorría parte de los municipios cercanos, su ruta finalizaba en El Pilar (Capital del municipio Benítez) donde se ubicaban los principales productores de cacao que abastecían la demanda de la principal empresa productora de chocolate del oriente del país propiedad de una familia de origen alemán.
Fue una linda experiencia visitar este museo, la guía es una señora muy amable que con paciencia cariño va explicando la historia de la ciudad y de las piezas y objetos que se exhiben en el museo, espero volver nuevamente para conocer un poco más de esta encantadora ciudad.
