Moon Contest : Half moon shaped cosmetic holder (Eng- Esp)
Hello creative community around the world happy and blessed Saturday, I wish you are enjoying good health with family and friends, I am happy to participate in the contest for the month of February Moon for my entry I made a cosmetic holder in the shape of a moon, ideal for carrying makeup in the daily outings, we can keep the cosmetic holder in the portfolio and have the makeup on hand when retouching makeup and be beautiful.
Hola comunidad creativa en todo el mundo feliz y bendecido sábado, deseo se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud en unión de familiares y amigos, me siento feliz de participar en el concurso del mes de febrero Luna para mi entrada elaboré u porta cosméticos en forma de luna, ideal para llevar el maquillaje en las salidas diarias, podemos guardar el porta cosméticos en la cartera y tener el maquillaje a la mano al momento de retocar el maquillaje y estar bellas.
What do we need?
For its elaboration I used polar blanket fabric; pink, red and black.

Para su elaboración utilicé tela manta polar; Rosa, roja y negra.

How to make it?
I started by marking and cutting the moon mold, 2 pieces per main fabric and 2 per lining, also 4 medium red circles, 8 black circles (4 medium and 4 small).
¿Cómo hacerla?
Inicié marcando y cortando el molde de luna, 2 piezas por tela principal y 2 por forro, también 4 círculos rojos medianos, 8 círculos negros (4 medianos y 4 pequeños).
I cut the back of the lining and main fabric in half to glue the zipper.
Corté la parte trasera del forro y tela principal a la mitad para pegar el cierre.
I attached the zipper by matching the right side of the main fabric with the right side of the zipper and the back of the lining with the back of the zipper, then I repeated to secure the seam.
Pegué el cierre enfrentando derecho de la tela principal con derecho del cierre y revés del forro con revés del cierre, luego repisé para asegurar la costura.
Gluing on the zipper, I sewed 1 pink strip, then right sides together on the back and front, put the strip on one end of the zipper (this will serve as a support to open the cosmetic holder), the front lining, pinned and stitched all the way around and zig zagged.
Pegado en cierre, cosí 1 tira rosa, luego enfrenté derecho con derecho la parte trasera y delantera, puse la tira en uno de los extremos el cierre ( esta servirá de soporte para abrir el porta cosméticos), el forro delantero, sujeté con alfileres y pasé costura por todo el contorno y zig zag.
With the Pop strip, I sewed the seam allowance with a straight stitch, opened the zipper and turned the piece over.
Con la tira de Pop, cosí el tapa costuras con puntada recta, abrí el cierre y volteé la pieza.
I cut a triangle at the bottom of the red circles to make the wings of the ladybugs, with fabric paint I made the polka dots, I also glued the eyes on the face.
Corté un triángulo en la parte inferior de los círculos rojos para hacer las alas de las mariquitas, con pintura de tela hice los lunares, además pegué los ojos en la cara.
With a hidden stitch I joined the pieces of the ladybugs and glued them to the cosmetic holder.
Con puntada escondida uní las piezas de las mariquitas, ya armadas las pegué en el porta cosméticos.
This project is easy to make and can be decorated with whatever we like; flowers, bees, butterflies, hearts, among others, the idea is to customize our cosmetic holder and carry the basic makeup tools in our daily outings, the process takes little time but it requires precision to sew the seam allowance because of the curved shape of the cosmetic holder, I am happy to have finished a new job without any mishaps.
Este proyecto es sencillo de hacer y se puede decorar con lo que más nos guste; flores, abejas, mariposas, corazones, entre otros, la idea es personalizar nuestro porta cosméticos y llevar los implementos básicos del maquillaje en nuestras salidas diarias, el proceso de elaboración toma poco tiempo sol se requiere precisión para coser el tapa costuras por la forma curva del porta cosméticos, me siento feliz de haber terminado un nuevo trabajo sin contratiempos.

Estoy intentando usar porta cosméticos lo más pequeños posibles porque sin darme cuenta casi llevo la casa en ellos jajaja empiezo por el maquillaje y cuando reviso hasta aguja, tijera e hilo hay allí.
