My tour of the boardwalk and Cinta Costera viewpoint (Eng - Esp)
Continuing my tour along Cacique Maraguey Avenue, I'd like to share my visit to the Malecón Cinta Costera (formerly known as Plaza La Primogénita). It's located near the famous cocktail kiosks (which serve a typical seafood dish, very popular with tourists and residents alike). During Holy Week and holidays, many people come to this area to enjoy these well-known and delicious cocktails. In front of these kiosks, in the center of the avenue, is the boulevard with the name: Malecón Cinta Costera SUCRE TE INSPIRA (SUCRE INSPIRE YOU). In the background, you can see the El Yaque building, known for its striking windows and design. From another view, you can see part of the hill, some residential complexes, and other features. The Malecón's name is displayed on a wave-shaped wall, painted blue. It starts with a pointed shape and gradually widens as it extends, ending in a pointed shape.
This boardwalk features a beautiful wave-shaped viewpoint overlooking the beach area. As seen in the following photograph, the wall is approximately 50 cm high and borders the shoreline. Next to it are several circular blue planters, and at the end, the silhouette of the cocktail kiosks can be seen. There are also walkways for exercise, strolls, and recreation. In the afternoon and evening, this area is very popular, with both young people and adults gathering to exercise amidst the beautiful seaside scenery. The planters have a lovely cup-shaped design and are blue. Beside them, we see the beautiful wave-shaped boardwalk that stretches for several kilometers. There is also a space between the planters and the walkways, which are separated from the avenue by cylindrical blue walls. These are used by young people for stretching and flexing exercises.
Continuando mi recorrido por la avenida Cacique Maraguey, les comparto mi visita al Malecón Cinta Costera (anteriormente llamado plaza la primogénita) se encuentra ubicado cerca de los famosos kioscos de coctelitos (los cuales constituyen un típico platillo preparado con productos del mar muy buscado en la ciudad por los turistas y residentes), en la temporada de semana santa y asuetos muchas personas acuden a esta zona de la para degustar los conocidos y deliciosos coctelitos, al frente de estos kioscos y en el centro de la avenida se encuentra el bulevar donde se lee el nombre: Malecón Cinta Costera SUCRE TE INSPIRA, al fondo se observa el edificio el Yaque, conocido por sus vistosas ventanas y diseño, en otra vista se aprecia parte del cerro, algunos conjuntos residenciales, entre otros, el nombre del Malecón se ubica en un muro con forma de onda, forma de onda y está pintado de color azul, inicia con una forma puntiaguda y a medida que avanza se va abultando para finalizar en forma puntiaguda.
Este Malecón cuenta con un hermoso mirador en forma de olas que abarca la zona de la playa, tal como se observa en la siguiente fotografía el muro tiene Aproximadamente 50 cm de alto y bordea la orilla de la playa, al lado de él hay varias jardineras circulares de color azul y se aprecia al final una silueta de los kioscos de coctelitos, además cuenta con caminerías para realizar ejercicios, caminatas y espacios para la recreación, en horas de la tarde y nocturna, esta zona es muy concurrida, tanto los jóvenes como los adultos se dan cita para realizar actividades físicas con el hermoso paisaje a la orilla del mar, las jardineras tienen un lindo diseño en forma de taza, son de color azul y al lado de ellas observamos el lindo Malecón con forma de onda que se extiende por varios kilómetros, a su vez hay un espacio entre las jardineras y las caminerías, las cuales están separadas de la avenida por muros cilíndricos también de color azul, son usados para realizar estiramientos y flexiones por varios jóvenes.
After walking along the wall in the center of the avenue and taking some photos, I headed towards the beach, following the Mirador path. Its design is charming, as it follows the beach's path. It also has two planters that serve as a lookout point and bench. From them, you can see the Araya Peninsula. According to one of the security staff, they are still under construction, as the future plan is to install LED lights and plants in the center. Many of them already have lights. Next, we have a view of the starting point of the lookout. The walkway is made of concrete and has horizontal lines. The wall, as I mentioned before, is painted blue and follows the beach's path.
The following photograph better shows the shape of the lookout point, the waves and curves of the wall along the edge of the beach. Then you can see the front of the wall and some planters. I think it's because of the dry season that some plants are withered and many planters are empty. With the arrival of the rains, they will surely turn green again and create a beautiful landscape in contrast to the beach. I liked the shape of the wall and the space between the walkway of rocks and sand and then the wall itself. This is designed not to interrupt the area where the crabs regularly walk, which, by the way, are faster than I expected.
To access the viewpoints, which also serve as benches, there are several staircases. The viewpoint is horseshoe-shaped, the floor is concrete, and it has light-colored stripes; some are a little faded, but you can still see the blue, red, and gray. The view of the beach at this time of day is very beautiful, with gentle waves and a refreshing breeze, ideal for the high temperatures we've had in the city. In the next photograph, we see the viewpoints again, located a little further inland from the beach, and the stairs that lead to them.
Luego de mi recorrido por el muro ubicado en el centro de la avenida y tomar algunas fotografías, me dirigí hacia la orilla de la playa siguiendo el sendero del Mirador, su forma es encantadora, pues este va siguiendo el trayecto de la playa, cuenta también con dos jardineras que a su vez sirven de mirador y banco, desde ellas se observa la Península de Araya y de acuerdo a la información de una de las chicas encargadas de la seguridad, aún están en construcción pues el proyecto a futuro es colocar luces led y plantas en el centro, ya muchas de ellas cuentan con las luces, luego tenemos una vista del punto donde inicia el mirador, la caminería es de concreto y tiene líneas horizontales; el muro como lo mencioné anteriormente está pintado de color azul y sigue el trayecto de la playa.
En la siguiente fotografía se aprecia mejor la forma del Mirador, las ondas y curvas que sigue el muro en el por el borde de la playa, luego se aprecia la parte frontal del muro y algunas jardineras, creo que por la temporada de sequía, algunas plantas están secas y muchas jardineras vacías, con la llegada de la lluvia seguro reverdecerán y crearán un hermoso paisaje en contraste con la playa, me gustó la forma del muro y el espacio entre la caminería de rocas, arena y luego el muro, esto para no interrumpir el área donde regularmente caminan los cangrejos, que por cierto son más rápidos de lo que creía.
Para ingresar a los miradores que a su vez sirven de banco, hay varias escaleras, el mirador tiene forma de herradura, el piso es de concreto y cuenta con franjas de colores claros, algunos están un poco borrosos pero se puede ver el azul, rojo y gris, la vista de la playa a esta hora del día es muy bonita, el oleaje suave y la brisa refrescante e ideal para las altas temperaturas que hemos tenido en la ciudad, en la siguiente fotografía vemos nuevamente los miradores ubicados un poco más adentro de la playa y las escaleras que conducen al mismo.
Then we headed toward the walkways located closer to the beach, and I must say that from this spot the view is spectacular—you can see the Araya Peninsula, the breeze is cool, and you can spot some crabs and other animals along the edge of the walls. These planters are definitely strategically placed so you can enjoy the beautiful view and scenery offered by the Cumaná coastline. When the sun began to set, we moved to another area to observe the landscape from a different angle and take in the beautiful colors painting the sky. The view from the wall is lovely, and its deep blue color contrasts with the sea and the sky.
Next, we have a view of the beach, the rocky path, and the access routes to the lookout point. In the following photograph—which is one of my favorites—you can see the outline of the lookout point and the planters along this path, as well as the small docks where boats arrive after a day of fishing. As the sun sets, the sea takes on a beautiful silvery hue, the rocks cast silhouettes, and the palm trees stand out against the beautiful seascape, backlit by the sun. The planters at the other end contain plants that still have many of their branches and thick trunks; Looking closely at the wall, its shape is very beautiful as it follows curved and straight lines along the edge of the beach. It was a lovely walk through this part of the city that I hadn’t known before; I liked the lookout, the planters, and watching the sunset from this spot in the city.
Luego nos dirigimos hacia las caminerías ubicadas más cerca de la playa y debo decir que desde este punto la vista es espectacular, se aprecia la Península de Araya, la brisa es fresca y algunos cangrejos y otros animales se pueden ver por el borde de los muros, definitivamente estas jardineras están ubicadas estratégicamente para disfrutar de la hermosa vista y paisajes que ofrece la cinta costera de cumaná, cuando el sol empezó a ocultarse nos movimos hacia otra área, con la idea de observar el paisaje desde otro ángulo y los hermosos colores que se dibujan en cielo, la vista del muro es bonita y su color azul intenso contrasta con el mar y el cielo.
A continuación, tenemos una vista de la playa, el camino de rocas y los accesos hacia el mirador, en la siguiente fotografía que es una de mis favoritas se observa la línea del mirador y las jardineras ubicadas en este trayecto, también los pequeños muelles dónde llegan botes luego de la jornada de pesca, con el ocaso del sol, el mar se torna de un hermoso color plateado, las rocas forman siluetas y las palmeras resaltan entre el hermoso paisaje marino a contraluz con el sol, las jardineras ubicadas hacia el otro extremo tienen plantas que conservan mucha de sus ramas y los troncos gruesos; observando en detalle el muro, su forma es muy bonita pues va siguiendo líneas curvas y rectas en el borde de la playa, fue un hermoso recorrido por esta zona de la ciudad que no conocía, me gustó el mirador, las jardineras y observar el atardecer desde este punto de la ciudad.

I appreciate how the walkway was designed to have waves and curves. It's truly unique and cool. I can imagine how captivating it would be in the future when all planters are filled and LED lights are completely installed.I personally enjoy boardwalks with sunset views. Thanks for sharing.😊
