My visit to the art exhibition Paint Me Little Black Angels (Eng - Esp)
Hello fellow travelers, it's a pleasure to greet you and share my visit to the art exhibition "Paint Me Little Black Angels," inspired by the poem by Andrés Eloy Blanco. This event took place at the poet's birthplace and featured a group of young painters who, using the well-known poem as a reference, created several paintings using different techniques. This event was part of the program commemorating the 71st anniversary of the house museum. The institution regularly holds presentations to showcase the life and work of the poet from Cumaná.
This year's program was very varied, and in addition to art exhibitions, there were important musical performances and tributes to prominent artists from the city. There was also a beautiful afternoon of jazz, where the children's orchestra choir was the star. Sadly, I wasn't able to take photos of this lovely event, which was one of the most beautiful. These children demonstrated their musical abilities. I also enjoyed the "Cumaná: An Open-Air Museum" activity, a virtual tour through the city's history and landmarks along a walking route. Each station featured displays of period tools and clothing; it was a wonderful experience to visit each area, a kind of journey through time spanning more than 200 years.
To close out the anniversary week, a tribute was held for the Cumaná-born musician and cuatro player Jorge Glem, a Grammy winner. It's worth mentioning that this event was very well attended, and from early morning people were reserving their spots to listen to the performances of this distinguished musician.
Hola amigos viajeros, es un placer saludarles y compartir mi visita a la exposición de arte Píntame Angelitos Negros inspirada en el poema de Andrés Eloy Blanco, está actividad se realizó en la casa natal del poeta y contó con la participación de un grupo de jóvenes pintores, quienes tomando como referencia el conocido poema, realizaron varios cuadros utilizando diferentes técnicas, Este evento formó parte de la programación para conmemorar el aniversario número 71 de la casa museo, la institución regularmente realiza presentaciones para dar a conocer la vida y obra del poeta cumanés.
Este año la programación fue muy variada y además de realizar exposiciones de arte, hubo importantes interpretaciones musicales y homenajes a destacados artistas de la ciudad, también una hermosa tarde de jazz, donde el coro de orquesta infantil fueron los protagonistas, tristemente no pude tomar fotos de este lindo evento, que fue una de los más hermosos, estos chicos demostraron sus habilidades musicales, la actividad Cumaná un museo a cielo abierto, también me gustó fue un paseo virtual por la historia y lugares destacados de la ciudad en la ruta pedestre, cada estación contó con exhibiciones de utensilios y vestuarios de la época; fue una linda experiencia visitar cada área, una especie de viaje en el tiempo que abarcó más de 200 años.
Para cerrar la semana aniversario se realizó un homenaje al músico y cuatrista cumanés Jorge Glem, ganador de un Grammy, valga decir que esta actividad fue muy concurrida y desde tempranas horas de la mañana habían personas apartando sus puestos para escuchar las interpretaciones de este insigne músico.
The house is a colonial-style structure with two hallways, one on each side, a characteristic central garden, a thatched roof, and rooms decorated with mostly wooden furniture. Its spaces serve as a setting for various cultural and recreational activities, showcasing its heritage. Before the art exhibition began, a well-known local singer recited several poems by Andrés Eloy Blanco. After his performance, the young painters began their displays, each standing beside their respective work and explaining the technique they used.
One of the most striking paintings, and in fact the one that won first place, depicts the piano located in the living room of the Andrés Eloy Blanco house. In the photograph, we can see a picture of the living room and below it, the painting by this young woman. Her skill and vision of the piano earned her first place. The painting's resemblance to the living room, the details, the luminosity, the brilliance, among other elements, were what helped her win. When I first saw this painting, I thought it was a photograph. Then I approached and observed closely that it was one of the paintings by these talented young people. Next is a painting from the mural "I Love Cumaná," located in the Monument sector. The artist used the sunset as a reference and a beautiful color palette that shows us the setting sun and how this mural contrasts with the sea in the background. Another painting is of the poet Andrés Eloy Blanco deep in thought. It is done in oil with a brown background. Next is a painting of the poet Andrés Eloy Blanco in black and white, surrounded by various texts mentioning his children, wife, his academic and diplomatic achievements, and the great love this poet had for Mexico, as it was his wife's country of origin. In fact, you can read in these texts that he lived in Mexico for several years. Then we have a more complete view of this painting, which, in addition to highlighting aspects of the poet's life, uses a mix of modern art, adding stickers along the edges that emphasize relevant aspects of his life. his family.
La casa es una estructura de diseño colonial, con dos pasillos uno a cada lado, el característico jardín en el centro, techo de caña brava y habitaciones decoradas con muebles en su mayoría hechos de madera; sus espacios sirven de escenario para la realización de diferentes actividades culturales, recreativas y dar a conocer su legado, antes de iniciar con la exposición de arte, un conocido cantante de la ciudad declamó varios poemas de Andrés Eloy Blanco, terminada su intervención, los jóvenes pintores iniciaron su exhibición cada uno se colocó al lado de su respectiva obra y explicó cuál técnica utilizó.
Uno de los cuadros más llamativos y de hecho fue el que quedó en primer lugar, es el que representa el piano ubicado en la sala de la casa Andrés Eloy Blanco, en la fotografía podemos observar la foto de la sala y debajo de ella la pintura que hizo esta chica, sus habilidades y visión de este piano la hicieron merecedora del primer lugar, la similitud del cuadro con la sala, los detalles la luminosidad, el brillo, entre otros fueron los elementos que la ayudaron a ganar; cuando vi esta pintura pensé que se trataba de una foto, luego me acerqué y observé detenidamente que era uno de los cuadros pintados por estos talentosos jóvenes, a continuación se encuentra cuadro del mural "Yo amo a Cumaná", ubicado en el sector el monumento, el artista tomó como referencia el atardecer y una hermosa paleta de colores que nos muestra el ocaso del sol y como este mural contrata con el mar en el fondo, otro de los cuadros es el poeta Andrés Eloy pensativo, está hecho con la técnica al óleo y el fondo es de color marrón, a continuación se encuentra un cuadro, donde se ve al poeta Andrés Eloy Blanco, en blanco y negro, alrededor varios escritos donde se menciona a sus hijos, esposa sus logros académicos y diplomáticos y el gran amor que tenía este poeta por México ya que era el país de origen de su esposa, de hecho se puede leer en estas informaciones que estuvo varios años viviendo en México, luego tenemos una vista más completa de este cuadro que además de resaltar aspectos de la vida del poeta, se utilizó una mezcla del arte moderno añadiendo pegatinas en los bordes, donde se resaltan los aspectos relevantes de su vida y su familia.
Continuing our tour of this beautiful exhibit, we find a painting of Andrés Eloy's birthplace. The painting is light yellow with a reddish lower portion, and in front of it, a tourist poses for a photograph while visiting the city center and the house museum. The painting captures details of the roof, the plaques on the facade, the door, and the windows. Next, we find a painting with a famous quote from his writings: "When you grow old, when I grow old, all that will remain of us are our lips and silence." The poet is depicted in a corner of the painting, and the background is yellow.
Next, a painting with a beautiful representation of the poem "Paint Me Little Black Angels," depicting them flying in the sky and carrying colorful flowers. Following that was the painting that won second place: a little black angel with sad, tearful eyes because there were no other angels like him. This painting is my favorite; I loved the expression in the eyes, the face, the feathers on the wings, and the way the little angel is posed. The artist explained in detail her creative process and what inspired her. She also mentioned that she read the poem several times and it filled her with sadness, which she captured in her painting, specifically the poet's request for little black angels. After touring this beautiful exhibition, the organizing group proceeded to present the awards and recognitions, followed by a small reception to celebrate the success and participation of these talented young people. It was a wonderful experience to attend this exhibition and see the beautiful paintings created by emerging young talents in the city of Cumaná.
Continuando con el recorrido por esta hermosa exhibición, se encuentra un cuadro de la casa natal Andrés Eloy en color amarillo claro y la parte inferior de color rojizo, al frente de ella un turista posa para la fotografía, mientras realiza su visita por el centro de la ciudad y la casa museo, en el cuadro se aprecian los detalles del techo, las placas ubicadas al frente, puerta y ventanas; luego encontramos el cuadro con una famosa frase de sus escritos: "Cuando tú te pongas vieja, cuando yo me ponga, viejo nos quedarán los labios y el silencio", el poeta está en una esquina del cuadro y el fondo es de color amarillo.
Seguidamente un cuadro con una hermosa representación del poema Píntame angelitos negros, los cuales están volando en el cielo y llevan en sus manos coloridas flores, a continuación el cuadro que ganó el segundo lugar, un angelito negro con ojos tristes y llorosos porque no había otros angelitos parecido a él, este cuadro es mi favorito me gustó la expresión de los ojos, el rostro, las plumas en las alas y la forma como está el angelito, la autora explicó detalladamente cómo fue su proceso creativo y en qué se inspiró, además señaló que leyó el poema varias veces y le dio mucha tristeza, lo cual plasmó en su cuadro, cuando el poeta pedía que pintaran angelitos negros; luego de hacer mi recorrido por esta hermosa exhibición, el grupo encargado de organizarla, procedió a entregar los premios, reconocimientos y un pequeño compartir para celebrar el triunfo y participación de estos talentosos jóvenes, fue una linda experiencia asistir a esta exposición y ver los hermosos cuadros, elaborados por jóvenes talentos emergentes en la ciudad de Cumaná.
