Greetings friends lovers of architecture and design, I wish you a happy week together with your loved ones, it is a pleasure to share with you my visit to a recognized square of the city: Plaza Miranda, located in the heart of the city, near the Manzanares River, is a busy area and serves as a reference point to move to various sites of the entity; in fact there is a very active bus stop, especially to transport students and residents of the parish Santa Inés; doing a little history, this square pays homage to an important hero of the country: General Francisco de Miranda, known as the Universal Venezuelan, for having participated in the French Revolution, independence of the United States, also precursor of the Venezuelan emancipation.
Saludos amigos amantes de la arquitectura y el diseño, les deseo una feliz semana en unión de sus seres queridos, es un placer compartir con ustedes mi visita a una reconocida plaza de la ciudad: Plaza Miranda, ubicada en pleno centro de la ciudad, muy cerca del Río Manzanares, es una zona muy transitada y sirve de punto referencial para desplazarse a diversos sitios de la entidad; de hecho allí funciona una parada de buses muy activa, especialmente para transportar a los estudiantes y habitantes de la parroquia Santa Inés; haciendo un poco de historia, esta plaza hace homenaje a un importante prócer del país: El General Francisco de Miranda, conocido como el Venezolano Universal, por haber participado en la Revolución Francesa, independencia de los Estados Unidos, además precursor de la emancipación Venezolana.

De acuerdo a la información suministrada por el Señor encargado del mantenimiento y cuidado de la plaza, esta se construyó en la década de 1940, y se han hecho dos remodelaciones, la última fue el año 2009, en la cual se sustituyó la estatua anterior por una de bronce que pesa aproximadamente 1 tonelada, se cambiaron las lámparas y se hicieron algunas modificaciones a las fuentes y jardines, alrededor de los árboles se construyeron círculos de concreto que sirven de adorno y en ocasiones se usan como bancos para descansar o reunirse con amigos.

Al estar ubicada en el centro de la ciudad es un importante punto de encuentro y reuniones sociales, además en ella se realizan eventos culturales educativos, en varias ocasiones he asistido a estos eventos y han sido una hermosa experiencia, la plaza cuenta con bancos en cada esquina y hermosos jardines ovalados en la parte frontal a los lados de la estatua del prócer Francisco de Miranda, desde la plaza se puede acceder a la calle Mariño y Bermúdez que constituyen el centro de las actividades comerciales de la ciudad, en ellas se ubican las principales tiendas y establecimientos comerciales para la adquisición de víveres y diversos productos para la limpieza del hogar y cuidado personal, también varias sedes de diferentes entidades bancarias, desde la plaza puedes recorrer el centro económico de la ciudad y visitar lugares emblemáticos de la ciudad como: La Catedral Metropolitana, El teatro Luis Mariano Rivera, Parque Ayacucho, Museo Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho, Casa Alarcón entre otros, la plaza es una redoma de fácil acceso a diferentes puntos de la ciudad.

La plaza posee además de lo anteriormente señalado tres fuentes, la principal esta formada por varios círculos de concreto armado organizados en forma creciente, pintadas con blanco y dorado el tercer círculo de la fuente principal está decorado con hojas doradas de laurel sobre puestas, en el cuarto círculo tiene dos aros dorados el inferior más pequeño que el superior y en en centro de ellos un espacio decorado con bolas blancas que forman una especie de cinta y le dan un gran estilo a esta fuente, las fuentes delantera y trasera tienen forma de copa e igualmente pintadas con dorado y blanco, la base de la copa es un pedestal con líneas verticales de color dorado, luego una placa dorada donde descansa la copa que a su vez tiene varias divisiones y en la parte superior una franja dorada con formas triangulares que parecen una flor.
My most exciting, fun and favorite visit to this square was in December 2022, because I was able to see the fountains working for the first time. I was passing by to go downtown and when I saw them I stopped to observe these fountains in detail. and take photos, I stayed for more than an hour in the square watching the fountains and the water path, I had to postpone my diligence for another day hehe but it was worth it because I could not miss this opportunity to see the active fountains, I remember that I asked several people since when the fountain was working and none of them knew, the common answer was that they were passing by and when they noticed the water they came to observe the fountain, most of us were anxious for the photos of the fountain, a beautiful old couple They asked me the favor of taking several photos of them, they looked very happy and content, because like me they had never seen the fountains working and they wanted to send the photos to their children so that they could also see the beautiful spectacle that the water creates these architectural works that beautify Miranda square
Mi visita más emocionante, divertida y favorita a esta plaza fue el mes de diciembre del año 2022, porque pude ver por primera vez las fuentes funcionando, iba pasando por allí, para dirigirme al centro y al verlas me detuve para observar estas fuentes en detalle y tomar fotos, me quedé por más de una hora en la plaza viendo las fuentes y el recorrido del agua, mi diligencia tuve que posponerla para otro día jeje pero valió la pena porque no podía perder esta oportunidad de ver la fuentes activas, recuerdo que le pregunté a varias personas desde cuándo la fuente estaba funcionando y ninguno sabía, la respuesta común fue que iban pasando y al notar el agua se acercaron a observar la fuente, la mayoría estabamos ansiosos por las fotos de la fuente, una hermosa pareja de ancianos me pidió el favor de tomarles varias fotos, se veían muy felices y contentos, porque al igual que yo nunca habían visto las fuentes funcionando y querían enviarles las fotos a sus hijos para que también pudieran ver el hermoso espectáculo que crea el agua estas obras arquitectónicas que embellecen la plaza Miranda.

Very nice fountain in a very relaxing place. I like that they take care of these elements in the cities, in squares that, as you say, are usually full of life, since people go to meet and there are different types of shops around, small things or something to eat are sold, etc.

Muy bonita fuente en un lugar muy relajante. Me gustan que cuiden de esos elementos en las ciudades, en plazas que como comentas suelen estar llenas de vida, ya que la gente va a reunirse y además alrededor hay diferentes tipos de comercio, se venden pequeñas cosas o algo de comer, etc.
Y se crean recuerdos como el tuyo, con esa pareja de ancianos que no había visto una fuente decorativa en funcionamiento, cuando son sin duda algo estupendo, ese sonido del agua hace el entorno más agradable. Saludos amiga.

Hola @duvinca, es una plaza muy hermosa y limpia, el sonido del agua es muy relajante y más cuando son espacios abiertos, esta plaza es un importante punto de encuentro en la ciudad, muy cerca queda una parada de buses y las personas mientras esperan el transporte aprovechan y descansan en la plaza, en horas de la mañana y la tarde es común la permanencia de personas conversando a o la realización de actividades culturales.
Ver las fuentes funcionando fue una gran experiencia muy emocionante,agradecida por tu apoyo.
