Greetings dear mom and dad who make life in this great community @homeedders, today I want to share with you an activity to study with the little ones geometric figures in a fun way; mathematics are present in our daily lives, if we go to the bodega, cook, use transportation, and many other aspects they are present; therefore it is important to teach children mathematics from an early age to break with a myth deeply rooted in society that says: "Mathematics is bad", with simple dynamics we can promote in children the love of mathematics and develop in them logical thinking.
Saludos estimados papá y mamá que hacen vida en esta gran comunidad @homeedders, hoy deseo compartir con ustedes una actividad para estudiar con los pequeños las figuras geométricas de una forma divertida; las matemáticas están presentes en nuestra vida cotidiana, si vamos a la bodega, cocinamos, usamos el transporte, y muchos otros aspectos ellas están presentes; por ello es importante enseñarle a los niños matemática desde pequeño para romper con un mito muy arraigado en la sociedad que dice: " Las matemáticas son malas", con dinámicas sencillas podemos promover en los niños el amor a las matemáticas y desarrollar en ellos el pensamiento lógico.
This strategy is simple to perform and is aimed at children between 4 and 7 years old, the objective is to identify and build geometric figures using popsicle sticks, then create figures where geometric figures are used; as I said before mathematics is an important part of our lives and the work we do every day; for example to build houses, parks, roads, cars, machines, among others, mathematics are immersed; before starting a certain construction project (houses for example) you must calculate the costs, profitability, and durability, then define the shape (square, rectangular, circular, oval, among others).
Esta estrategia es sencilla de realizar y esta dirigida a niños con edades comprendidas entre 4 y 7 años el objetivo es que identifiquen y construyan las figuras geométricas usando paletas de helados, luego crear figuras donde se utilicen las figuras geométricas; como lo señalé anteriormente las matemáticas forman parte importante de nuestra vida y las labores que realizamos cotidianamente; por ejemplo para construir casa, parques, carreteras, autos, máquinas, entre otros, están inmersas las matemáticas; antes de iniciar un determinado proyecto de construcción (casas por ejemplo) se debe calcular los costos, rentabilidad, y durabilidad, luego se define la forma (cuadrada, rectangular, circular, ovalada, entre otros).

How is it developed?
It is done in the following way, we show the geometric figures to the child, then with the paddles he will form the figures, he can glue the paddles or just make the figure and use the paddles for the following figures.
¿Cómo se desarrolla?
Se realiza de la siguiente manera, mostramos la figuras geométricas al niño, luego con las paletas el formará las figuras, puede pegar las paletas o solo hacer la figura e ir usando las paletas para las siguientes figuras.
To reinforce learning, I marked and cut out the pieces of the train and the boat, then assembled and glued them together.
Para reforzar el aprendizaje, marqué y corté las piezas del tren y el barco, luego armé y pegué.

the train's chimney has an oval shape, the train's window is square, the wagon is rectangular; to make the activity more dynamic, toys can be added and the child will identify the geometric figures present in the toys.
Seguidamente se le pide al niño que identifique las figuras geométricas´que forman el barco y el tren; en la base del bote y ruedas del tren hay círculos, las velas del barco tienen triángulos,
la chimenea del tren tiene forma de óvalo, la ventana del tren cuadrado, el vagón es rectangular; para que la actividad sea más dinámica se pueden agregar juguetes y el identificará las figuras geométricas presentes en los juguetes.

Hello @belkyscabrera. This is really a beautiful activity. We know how kids love colours and art. I think this would really be effective in helping them master different colours and even different shapes. It would even help them to identify different shapes that makes up any object.
