Hello, hello friends lovers of architecture and design, I am happy to share again with you, I wish you are healthy and happy and God's blessing abound in your homes, in previous publications I have talked about my visit to two very important shopping centers in the city, one of them is Cumaná Plaza (located on Avenida Blanco Fombona with Bermudez, in the center of the city), very close to this establishment is located Express Mall (Bermudez Avenue with Vargas street; According to the information provided by the security agent, the mall is 20 years old and is the oldest in the city. It is a two-story building with a supermarket on the first floor, a wide variety of stores on the second floor and a food fair on the second floor; It also has blue panels to take advantage of sunlight, on the sides there are walls with reinforced concrete slabs lined with gray ceramic tiles, also have triangular and rectangular windows that protrude which have special glass to capture sunlight, the security agent also noted that these panels and crystals allow them a good lighting inside the mall during the period of 11 am and 3 pm, also save electricity; Like the walls, the floor is made of gray ceramic, definitely everything combines in this mall, the architect did not miss any detail, he was very attentive to each one of them. I used to visit this mall when my son was little, they had the largest and most stocked toy store in the city, it was an almost obligatory to buy a toy when I visited hahaha, when my son started school, and the purchase of toys decreased and occasionally went with a friend to the food fair to eat some delicious cinnamon and apple cakes that we like very much, since 2019 I did not visit this mall my friend and I changed the apple cakes for some cheesecakes that they sell at Arturo's, this new dessert that we "discovered" took us to another mall and at least twice a month we ate the delicious cheesecake with its respective sirop and ice cream yuuummii.
Hola, hola amigos amantes de la arquitectura y el diseño, me siento feliz de compartir nuevamente con ustedes, deseo se encuentren sanos y felices y la bendición de Dios abunde en sus hogares, en publicaciones anteriores he hablado sobre mi visita a dos centros comerciales muy importantes de la ciudad, uno de ellos es Cumaná Plaza (ubicado en la avenida blanco Fombona con Bermúdez, en el centro de la ciudad), muy cerca de este establecimiento se ubica Express Mall (Avenida Bermúdez con calle vargas; diagonal a Cumaná Plaza)de acuerdo a la información suministrada por el agente de seguridad el centro comercia tiene 20 años y es el más antiguo de la ciudad, es un edificio de dos pisos, en planta baja se ubica el supermercado, en el primer piso una gran variedad de tiendas y en el segundo piso la feria de comida; cuenta además con paneles azules para aprovechar la luz solar, en los laterales tienen paredes con planchones de concreto armado forrados con cerámicas en tonos grises, además disponen de ventanas triangulares y rectangulares que sobresalen las cuales poseen cristales especiales para captar la luz solar, el agente de seguridad señaló además que estos paneles y cristales les permiten una buena iluminación en el interior del centro comercial durante el lapso de 11 de la mañana y 3 de la tarde, también ahorrar energía eléctrica; al igual que las paredes el piso es de cerámica gris, definitivamente todo combina en este centro comercial, al arquitecto no se le escapó ningún detalle, estuvo muy pendiente de cada uno de ellos . Solía visitar este centro comercial cuando mi hijo estaba pequeño, tenían la tienda de juguetes más grande y surtida de la ciudad, era una casi obligado comprar un juguete cuando lo visitaba jajaja, cuando mi hijo inició la escuela, ya la compra de juguetes disminuyó y ocasionalmente iba con una amiga a la feria de comidas a comer unas deliciosas tortas de canela y manzana que nos gustan mucho, desde el año 2019 no visitaba este centro comercial mi amiga y yo cambiamos las tortas de manzana por unas de queso que venden en Arturo's, este nuevo postre que "descubrimos" nos llevó a otro centro comercial y al menos dos veces al mes comíamos la deliciosa torta de queso con su respectivo sirop y helado yuuummii.

El mes de diciembre del año pasado, visité el centro comercial con la idea de comprar un regalo para mi hijo en navidad, durante varios meses ahorré dinero, ya que; quería un regalo acorde a la edad de mi hijo y estaba segura que en esa tienda de juguetes lo encontraría, fui con mi esposo al centro comercial muy entusiasmada a comprar el regalo de mi hijo, primero subimos a la feria de comida y aproveché para tomar las fotos desde allí dado que está en el segundo piso y ofrece una amplia visión del primer piso y planta baja, cuando legamos a la feria me sorprendió lo cambiado que estaba el lugar, y muchos locales cerrados, también el parque, que era el principal atractivo para los niños estaba cerrado, esta feria era muy concurrida con un self service que ofrece deliciosas comidas, aún se mantiene pero la afluencia de clientes ha disminuido como consecuencia de la pandemia, aún así disfrutamos una deliciosa comida y cuando íbamos para la tienda de juguetes se me ocurrió mirar desde la baranda hacia donde creía yo que estaba la tienda de juguetes , para mi gran e inesperada sorpresa la tienda de juguetes ya no está en el establecimiento y en su lugar está una mueblería, me sentí un poco triste y decepcionada, no podía creer lo que estaba viendo, cuando me repuse del impacto bajé a la mueblería porque pensé que la tienda de juguetes podía estar junto con la de mueble en un pequeño departamento pero no fue así, el dueño de la mueblería me dijo que la tienda de juguetes tenía varios años cerrada, ya no había forma de comprar el regalo de mi hijo allí y bajé para hacer un recorrido por el centro comercial.
The mall has stairs and elevators, also the spaces have beautiful decorations and the atmosphere is very pleasant to share with family and shopping; the space is very well organized and distributed, they make the most of it; it caught my attention that in the internal part the color that stands out the most is silver, in the handrails and elevators; In the center there is a dome with many crystals that are very useful to take advantage of the sunlight, the roof are descending sheets where the sunlight filters through, the roof sheets can be seen very close when you are on the third floor, I could even touch the roof sheets, previously I asked if it was possible and asked for authorization, I must say that my height helped a lot to satisfy my curiosity to touch the roof, my husband's face was a worthy to see before such action. The second floor has a variety of stores generally where you can find jewelry, clothing, perfumes, cellular and electronic equipment, the bookstore with a wide range of articles is no longer there as well as the haberdashery stores, in its place there are new stores and some stores still remain empty; although many stores closed the mall offers great options to shop and enjoy beautiful moments with family and friends.
El centro comercial cuenta con escaleras y ascensores, además los espacios tienen hermosas decoraciones y el ambiente es muy agradable para compartir en familia y realizar compras; el espacio está muy bien organizado y distribuido, lo aprovechan al máximo; me llamó la atención que en la parte interna el color que más resalta es el plateado, en los pasa manos y ascensores; en el centro tiene un domo con muchos cristales que son de gran utilidad para aprovechar la luz solar, el techo son láminas descendentes por donde se filtra la luz solar, las láminas del techo se pueden ver muy cerca cuando estas en el tercer piso, incluso pude tocar la láminas del techo, previamente pregunté si se podía y pedí autorización, debo decir que mi estatura ayudó mucho a satisfacer mi curiosidad de tocar el techo, la cara de mi esposo era un digna de ver ante tal acción. El primer piso posee una variedad de tiendas generalmente donde se consigue bisutería, ropa, perfumes equipos celulares y electrónicos, la librería con una amplia gama de artículos ya no está así como las tiendas de mercería, en su lugar hay nueva tiendas y algunos locales aún permanecen vacíos; pese a que mucha tiendas cerraron el centro comercial ofrece grandes opciones para hacer las compras y disfrutar hermosos momentos con familiares y amigos.

So much for the visit to this emblematic shopping mall of the city that has managed to stay standing despite the difficulties it has gone through.
En planta baja se ubica el super mercado, el cual ha cambiado mucho también su inventario ha disminuido considerablemente, sin embargo no deja de ser un buen lugar con agradable ambiente para comprar los alimentos, han incorporado nuevos elementos como la venta de plantas, en lo personal me pareció que la distribución de los anaqueles la transformaron drásticamente, de hecho cuando entré me costó un poco ubicar los productos mientras observaba el lugar y trataba de adaptarme al nuevo esquema, las frutas y vegetales en general no contaban con un gran surtido, sin embargo los productos de limpieza e higiene personal tenían un amplio stock al igual que los víveres, la carnicería y charcutería, me imagino que es una forma de equilibrar el inventario del super mercado, aumentar la cantidad de productos no perecederos y disminuir los que se dañan más rápido; aún sin lograr mi propósito al visitar el centro comercial que era comprar un obsequio para mi hijo, fue una visita de grandes sorpresas con emociones y sentimientos encontrados que me enseñaron la evolución y cambio del dinamismo económico y social, el mundo está en constante movimiento y cada día nuevos modelos de marketing se abren paso en la economía del planeta, al salir del centro comercial, quise tomar una foto en la parte delantera y me tocó esperar un poco porque un joven estaba parado justo al frente y por más que esperé no se movió, tuve que tomar la foto de lejos y aún así salió el joven. Hasta aquí visita a este emblemático centro comercial de la ciudad que ha sabido mantenerse en pie a pesar de las dificultades que ha atravesado.

The shopping center is very spacious inside. I like the way the furniture display looks from the top floor. It is a pity that many stores have closed, but it has been in the last 3 years and even more.

True @madushanka, it is very clean and periodically change the decoration according to the season, currently they must have motifs of Valentine's Day and carnival, my favorite place is the food fair, they have a wide variety of national and international cuisine. The architectural design is interesting, on the second floor has a kind of oval in the center that allows you to clearly see much of the second floor specifically the furniture, also the strategic location of the stairs give you ample view of the stores.

Fantastic shopping center @belkyscabrera! The Express Mall is quite an impressive building. Even though it's already 20 years old, there are little to no signs of deterioration at all showing its escalating age. Its modern design style is most probably the main reason for that initial impression. 👍
It's a pity though that your expectation for a toy store in one of their mall sections was substituted by a furniture establishment. As much as these experiences are disappointing, popular brands do change with the times, adopting with the current economic climate. So no worries, just try and search for another toy store, haha. 😁

Greetings dear @storiesoferne, it is a shopping center that is very well preserved, it is characterized by being very clean and organized,although it is not very big compared to the others and its closest neighbor Cumaná Plaza, they know how to take advantage of the space and distribute the stores, the interior design is simple and sophisticated, I also think that is one of the great attractions it has; the lighting and decoration are excellent , which makes the atmosphere very pleasant, I have as a task to visit more often the shopping centers of the city to avoid "surprises".
I was very excited about my son's gift, but these are situations typical of the economic dynamism, I will have to make a new tour and look for his gift, that was the only toy store I knew, they had a wide assortment and the toys were of very good quality; e will put in explorer mode to visit several stores hahaha, Traky has a toy department but usually there is a great variety at Christmas and July (the third Sunday of this month is Children's Day in my country) for now is discarded, they must have very few toys we are just in February, but the search continues.
