¡Feliz lunes de Aguja!

Me complace desearles a todas un inicio de semana bendecido, colmado de amor, salud y mucha tranquilidad. En mi parte, he estado algo enferma de malestares estomacales, quizás sea un caso viral, esperare un par de días a sentirme mejor. Pero, eso no me ha detenido este fin de semana, estuve viendo diversos tutoriales y cosiendo algunas piezas en mi tiempo libre. Una de ellas que quiero compartir con ustedes es la de un Dúo de Pants engomados, especialmente hechos para una madre e hija.

I am pleased to wish you all a blessed start to the week, filled with love, health and a lot of peace. For my part, I have been a little sick with stomach upset, maybe it is a viral case, I will wait a couple of days to feel better. But, that hasn't stopped me this weekend, I was watching various tutorials and sewing some pieces in my free time. One of them that I want to share with you is a Duo of rubberized Pants, especially made for a mother and daughter.

Este Dúo me ha parecido encantador, lo elaboré en materia de encargo para una madre y su pequeña niña de 4 años de edad. La tela en que esta hecho es Beverly Estampada, realmente es una preciosidad de tela tanto para coser como para ver armada la pieza final. Tiene muy buen armado, no transparenta, no se decolora, es alicrada y además de muy buena caída, es ideal para este tipo de piezas como Pants engomados o entallados con botón (Espero pronto aventurarme en la confección de estos últimos). Es primera vez que coso este tipo de tela y he quedado enamorada.

I found this Duo charming, I made it as a commission for a mother and her little 4-year-old girl. The fabric it is made of is Beverly Printed, it really is a beautiful fabric both to sew and to see the final piece assembled. It has very good assembly, it is not transparent, it does not fade, it is smooth and in addition to having a very good drape, it is ideal for this type of pieces such as rubberized or fitted pants with a button (I hope to soon venture into making the latter). This is the first time I have sewn this type of fabric and I have fallen in love.

Antes de enfermarme, pude ir a visitar el Castillo de las Telas y comprar algunas telas e hilos que necesitaba para unos encargos. La verdad, mi vecina Carmen ha estado comentando a sus diversas amistades y familiares que me encuentro elaborando piezas de ropa por encargo y he tenido bastante receptividad al respecto de lo que estoy haciendo y aprendiendo. Esto de verdad me pone muy contenta, como ya saben me dedico a dar tareas dirigidas en mi hogar y la costura se esta dando un lugar importante dentro de mis actividades típicas y creativas.

Before I got sick, I was able to go visit the Castillo de las Telas and buy some fabrics and threads that I needed for some orders. The truth is, my neighbor Carmen has been telling her various friends and family that I am making custom pieces of clothing and I have been quite receptive to what I am doing and learning. This really makes me very happy, as you know I am dedicated to giving supervised tasks in my home and sewing is taking an important place within my typical and creative activities.

Volviendo al Dúo de Pants...

La muchacha que me ha encargado el par de pants engomados, me indica que trató de conseguir piezas similares disponibles, pero en realidad no pasaban de la talla L. Por ello, prefirió optar por una costura a medida, que satisfaga sus necesidades de talla y que a la vez, fuesen un modelo en común con su hija. Lucirán ambas este atuendo el 24 de diciembre, ¡Realmente estuve encantada y asustada con la confianza!. No se si les sucede, pero cuando realizan una pieza por primera vez se esmeran muchísimo más en los detalles, piensan detenidamente 3 o 4 veces antes de cortar, buscando lados de elasticidad y demás...Así estuve yo, cerciorándome que todo quedará muy bien y así fue (Gracias a Dios).

Returning to the Pants Duo...

The girl who ordered the pair of rubberized pants from me tells me that she tried to get similar pieces available, but in reality they did not go beyond size L. Therefore, she preferred to opt for a custom seam, which satisfies her size and size needs. who, at the same time, were a common model with their daughter. They will both wear this outfit on December 24, I was really delighted and scared with the confidence!. I don't know if it happens to them, but when they make a piece for the first time they put much more effort into the details, they think carefully 3 or 4 times before cutting, looking for areas of elasticity and so on... That's how I was, making sure that everything will be very well and that's how it was (Thank God).

Materiales:

• 2 metros de tela Beverly estampada
• Hilo en tono a la tela, Beige
• Elástica de 4 centímetros de grosor
• Tijera - Máquina de Coser

He usado como referencia de tallas, dos piezas que me ha proporcionado la clienta. En base a eso, he hecho algunas modificaciones de las tallas y modelo, como más centímetros a lo largo de las piernas y estableciendo un corte recto.

Materials:

• 2 meters of printed Beverly fabric
• Thread matching the fabric, Beige
• 4 centimeters thick elastic
• Scissors - Sewing Machine

I have used two pieces that the client provided me as a size reference. Based on that, I have made some modifications to the sizes and model, such as more centimeters along the legs and establishing a straight cut.

Proceso de Creación / Creation Process

Extendí la tela en el suelo y doble según los corte que haría. Verifiqué el lado de elasticidad de la tela, que en este caso era necesario que fuese a los lados por el tipo de pieza. Coloqué la pieza modelo sobre la tela y corté dejando el espacio de costura y las modificaciones indicadas en el anterior párrafo. De las piezas para un pants de este modelo, son dos exactamente iguales.

I spread the fabric on the floor and folded it according to the cuts I would make. I checked the elasticity side of the fabric, which in this case needed to be on the sides due to the type of piece. I placed the model piece on the fabric and cut, leaving the sewing space and the modifications indicated in the previous paragraph. Of the pieces for a pair of pants of this model, two are exactly the same.

Después de cortadas las piezas, me he ido a la máquina de coser para iniciar con el armado. Comienzo uniendo desde el inicio de la entrepierna hasta la parte inferior donde culmina. Este paso se hace por separado en cada pierna. Cada costura lleva una puntada en recta, cortamos excedentes y damos una costura en zigzag.

After cutting the pieces, I went to the sewing machine to start assembling. I start joining from the beginning of the crotch to the bottom where it ends. This step is done separately on each leg. Each seam has a straight stitch, we cut excess and create a zigzag seam.

Una de las piernas la volteamos o colocamos al derecho. La insertamos dentro de la otra pierna, cuadramos bien la zona de unión o lo que comúnmente conocemos como fundillo, colocamos un alfiler luego de enfrentar bien los derechos y cuadrar. Cosemos. Volteamos y observamos que la pieza ha quedado unida y falta poco para culminar.

We turn one of the legs or place it right side up. We turn around and see that the piece has been joined together and there is little left to finish.

Haré un pequeño corte horizontal en la parte delantera para obtener un frente más bajo que el trasero. Esto, porque los cortes habían sido rectos y el modelo es bastante alto.

I will make a small horizontal cut in the front to get a lower front than the back. This is because the cuts had been straight and the model is quite tall.

Es el momento del engomado. El corte lo he hecho para dar dos doblez a la goma, pero inicio colocándola al borde con un zigzag, y entre puntada y puntada, estirándole. Que quede exactamente en el borde, ha sido un reto, pero teniendo paciencia y poco a poco ha sido posible.

It's time for gluing. I have made the cut to give two folds to the elastic, but I start by placing it on the edge with a zigzag, and between stitches, stretching it. Getting it exactly on the edge has been a challenge, but with patience and little by little it has been possible.

Después de colocar la elástica, he dado un par de doblez y pasado costura recta. Para darle mejor acabado a la misma, le he dado dos vueltas de costura recta a cierta distancia una de la otra. Hay una aguja doble para eso, pero en este momento no cuento con la misma y así que lo hice una a la vez y teniendo cuidado a la distancia existente entre una y la otra.

After placing the elastic, I folded it a couple of times and sewed straight. To give it a better finish, I have given it two rows of straight sewing at a certain distance from each other. There is a double needle for that, but at this moment I don't have it and so I did it one at a time and being careful about the distance between one and the other.

Por último solo me ha restado hacer el dobladillo inferior de los extremos de las piernas.

Finally, I only had to do the bottom hem of the ends of the legs.

Para realizar el pants de niña, solo debemos repetir el proceso en base a las medidas de la misma.

Resultado / Result

Estoy super contenta con el resultado que he obtenido, por otro lado mi clienta también ha estado emocionada y encantada con sus dúos de pants justo a las medidas y requerimientos de ambas.
