A walk through Jerusalem

Hello to all my dear hivers, this is my first post in the Liketu community, so I hope you like it!

My journey with you will start with a post about one of the places I have liked the most, and that is Israel.

In different Hive posts, I have taken you on a walk with me through that country, through some specific points of tourist attraction, through details that Israel has to offer, but today, I will bring you a moment through Jerusalem.

Before visiting that land, many people told me to be very careful and warned me that I would see many soldiers in the streets. Well, the issue of caution was a reality, as was the presence of the army, which was indeed noticeable in Jerusalem (much more so than in other cities in Israel).

None of this was an impediment for me to enjoy my week in that city, which is the capital of Israel even though Tel Aviv is functioning more as such.

I walked around calmly and allowed myself to take as many pictures as possible, as long as they were not disrespectful to those around me, or were not an unsafe moment, as it was at the beginning of Ramadan in front of the Damascus Gate.

So these photos are of the street, of the people, of the particular architecture that Jerusalem offers, with its incursions of technology in the middle of a space that in parts seems to have stopped in time.

There is something very beautiful in the city, and it is that one can find spaces that seem to have nothing to do with that place, such as a corner with dolls in the windows, which promoted a clothing store, or the house of "Santa Claus" somewhere on top of a hill, which was pointed out in Google Maps as an attraction of the place. Added to this, a few meters before Santa's house, a huge Fatima Hand made into a chair for one to sit on. And so, many more things that I will tell you later.

On the other hand, the gastronomy of Jerusalem and in this case I extend to all of Israel, has the magic of belonging to different cultures. My favorite from there, is the Arab food, which was cheaper in the old city area. Of it, the falafel are something that I still can't replace after having tried them.

This is a very awesome travel you have made my dear. The ideas you shared took me step-by-step reading and digesting every images and content about the New Jerusalem i have being only heard through the Bible.

Very interesting. I was surprised to see it so modern looking and clean. I guess I was expecting still mostly huts and dirt roads, lol. Thanks for the education and views, looks like a wonderful city, and of course who doesn't love Santa?
