Come and be amazed by these exotic presentations at the Museum and Cabildo in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Hello dear friends of Hive and Photography Lovers! In this opportunity I come to bring you some photographic archives of the Cabildo of Buenos Aires, which I took last May (2023).

In these images you will see exhibitions that were taking place in this space, which caught my attention because of their particularity, as they had an ironic and at the same time serious tone.

The concepts that were exposed spoke of equality, peace and love, from a disruptive place, as if what was exposed sought to remove your patience to make you see reality as it is, without concealment or curtains.

Ven a sorprenderte con estas exóticas presentaciones en el Museo y Cabildo de Buenos Aires, Argentina

Hola queridos amigos de Hive y de Photography Lovers! En esta oportunidad vengo a acercarles algunos archivos fotográficos del Cabildo de Buenos Aires, que tomé el pasado mes de mayo (2023).

En estas imágenes verán exposiciones que se estaban llevando a cabo en este espacio, que llamaron mucho mi atención por su particularidad, pues tenían un tono irónico y al mismo tiempo serio.

Los conceptos que se exponían hablaban de igualdad, de paz y de amor, desde un lugar disruptivo, como si lo expuesto buscara removerte la paciencia para hacerte ver la realidad tal como es, sin tapujos ni cortinas.

I really liked the fact that the exhibits presented numerous characters and events, such as actors belonging to the religious, political and social world, associated with moments in Argentine and world history.

The use of different resources such as cartography, photos, murals, paintings and even small sculptures, provided an experience rich in visual stimuli that invited you to contemplate one, another and another work without stopping.

The colors of the walls, particularly burgundy, were also part of the exhibitions.

Me gustó mucho que las exposiciones presentaran numerosos personajes y eventos, como actores que pertenecen al mundo religioso, político, social, asociados a momentos de la historia argentina y mundial.

El uso de diferentes recursos como cartografía, fotos, murales, pinturas e incluso pequeñas esculturas, brindaban una experiencia rica en estímulos visuales que te invitaban a contemplar una, otra y otra obra sin detenerte.

Los colores de las paredes, particularmente el bordó, también hacían parte de las exposiciones.

The art was distributed in different rooms of the cabildo, and there was a certain categorization according to type of resource and theme.

I loved that there were also images with videos and holograms, Harry Potter style, for a moment I felt part of the movie, but clearly this had nothing to do with Harry, hehe.

El arte estaba distribuido en diferentes habitaciones del cabildo, y había cierta categorización según tipo de recurso y temática.

Me encantó que también se ofrecían imágenes con videos y hologramas, al estilo Harry Potter, por un momento me sentí parte de la película, pero claramente esto no tenía nada que ver con Harry, jeje.

For those who have no idea what this is, the Cabildo was the administrative center par excellence at the time when Argentina was a colony of Spain, where the authorities appointed to run this territory in the Americas were located.

I hope you liked this tour friends! My favorite image is the one of the mountain with the mules crossing, which refers to the famous crossing of the Andes by General José de San Martín, with the intention of liberating the country.

I also found very particular the presentation of small figures with soldiers with bone or animal heads, I did not like it too much, but it left me thinking.

Para quienes no tengan idea de qué es esto, el Cabildo era el centro administrativo por excelencia en la época en que Argentina era colonia de España, allí se encontraban las autoridades designadas para llevar este territorio en las Américas.

Espero que les haya gustado este paseo amigos! Mi imagen preferida es la de la montaña con las mulas cruzando, que hace referencia al famoso cruce de Los Andes por el General José de San Martín, con intención de liberar al país.

También me pareció muy particular la presentación de pequeñas figuras con soldados con cabeza de hueso o de animal, no me gustó demasiado, pero me dejó pensando.
