Come and visit Puerto Madero: one of the most captivating places in Capital Federal, Buenos Aires, Argentina

During the last decades Puerto Madero has been taking prominence in the microcenter of Buenos Aires and today we are going to visit it from Hive and from the amazing Pinmapple community.

Puerto MAdero is located in front of the Rio de la Plata, and from being a somewhat relegated area of the City of Buenos Aires, it has become one of the finest and most attractive places in the Argentine capital.

The place is full of bars and restaurants of national renown and offer a wonderful diversity of experiences, from Mexican, Italian to traditional Argentine food; excellent ice cream parlors and craft breweries of the best in the country.

Ven a conocer Puerto Madero: de los lugares más cautivantes de Capital Federal, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Durante las última décadas Puerto Madero ha ido tomando protagonismo en el microcentro de Buenos Aires y hoy lo vamos a ir a visitar desde Hive y desde la asombrosa comunidad de Pinmapple.

Puerto MAdero se encuentra frente al Río de la Plata, y de ser un área algo relegada de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, ha pasado a ser uno de los lugares más finos y atractivos de la capital argentina.

El lugar está repleto de bares y restaurantes de renombre nacional y ofrecen una diversidad maravillosa de experiencias, desde comida mexicana, italiana a tradicional argentina; heladerías excelentes y cervecerías artesanales de las mejores del país.

"El entry area"

Well, the truth is that there is no entrance as such, since you can enter the area through multiple places since it is divided from the urban area by Leandro N. Alem Avenue. From it there is a whole sector covered by the food places mentioned above, and then you will find the Paseo del Bajo, which begins the area of restaurants, and finally there is the street Juana Manuela Gorriti which is a pedestrian path exclusively, bordering the river.

These places where the bars and restaurants are, are long blocks, through which you can not pass, so to get to Puerto Madero in front of the river, you must find one of the passages that allow you to walk there. For me, the most beautiful one is the one that ends at the Puente de la Mujer, as it offers a unique and impressive view of the area.

“El Ingreso”

Bueno la verdad es que no hay un ingreso como tal, pues se puede entrar a la zona por múltiples lugares ya que se divide de la trama urbana por la Avenida Leandro N. Alem. A partir de ella hay todo un sector abarcado por los locales de comida mencionados, y posteriormente encontrarán el Paseo del Bajo, que da inicio a la zona de los restaurantes, y finalmente está la calle Juana Manuela Gorriti que es un sendero peatonal exclusivamente, que bordea al río.

Estos lugares en donde están los bares y restaurantes, constituyen largas cuadras, a través de las cuales no se puede pasar, por lo que para llegar concretamente a Puerto Madero frente al río, deberás encontrar uno de los pasajes que te permitan caminar hacia allí. Para mi el más bonito es el que desemboca en el Puente de la Mujer, pues ofrece una vista única e impactante de la zona.

According to what I read in Wikipedia, this bridge, created by the Spanish architect Santiago Salatrava, represents a couple dancing tango and was inaugurated in 2001, when the area began to come to life.

Also very close by is the Fragata Sarmiento, at one time available for navigation and currently a museum that you can enter and tour. In 2015 I had the opportunity to enter and it is a highly recommended experience.

Bueno como mencionaba, en Puerto Madero está el famoso Puente de la Mujer, una estructura impecable de color blanco que se alza gradualmente hacia el cielo y que da una permanente sensación de dinamismo. Detrás de él se pueden ver palabras que con mucha claridad comparten un mensaje de libertad para el género femenino.

Según leí en Wikipedia, este Puente, creado por el arquitecto español Santiago Salatrava, representa a una pareja bailando tango y fue inaugurado en el año 2001, momento en el que la zona empezó a cobrar vida.

Además muy cerca se encuentra la Fragata Sarmiento, en algún momento disponible para navegación y actualmente un museo al que se puede entrar a recorrer. En 2015 tuve la oportunidad de ingresar y es una experiencia muy recomendable.

My walk through Puerto Madero

When I go to Buenos Aires I always take at least a moment to stop by here, as it is a nice walk of about an hour from the heart of the city, and it is an area that guarantees beautiful moments.

On this occasion I went almost at sunset and was lucky enough to enjoy some unique reflections on the water. The direction of the sun's rays were just right to create perfect mirror images where you could even lose the reality of the illusion.

Mi paseo por Puerto Madero

Cuando voy a Buenos Aires siempre me tomo aunque sea un momento para pasar por aquí, pues implica una linda caminata de alrededor de una hora desde el corazón de la ciudad, y es una zona que garantiza momentos preciosos.

En esta ocasión fui casi al atardecer y tuve la suerte de disfrutar de unos reflejos únicos en el agua. La dirección de los rayos del sol dieron justo para crear imágenes espejadas perfectas en donde hasta podía perderse la realidad de la ilusión.

I love the theme of meditation, I loved playing a little to try to forget what was real, and the truth is that for a few seconds I managed to lose myself in the idea that the reflection could also be tangible. Even now looking at the photos to share with you, I played with that too, I invite you to do so if you wish.

Crossing the bridge you start walking along the pedestrian street Pierina Dealessi, which also offers locals to enjoy something tasty and to sit and contemplate. Then you can take any direction, I chose south, and ended up arriving at some interesting building structures that you will see in the photos (I am not very clear what they are), which are located on the street and bridge Azucena Villaflor.

A mí que me gusta mucho el tema de la meditación, me encantó jugar un poco a intentar olvidar qué era real, y la verdad es que por unos segundos logré perderme en esa idea de que el reflejo también podía ser tangible. Incluso ahora viendo las fotos para compartir con ustedes, jugué a eso también, los invito a hacerlo si lo desean.

Al atravesar el puente uno empieza a caminar por la calle peatonal Pierina Dealessi, que también ofrece locales para disfrutar de algo rico y para sentarse a contemplar. Luego puedes tomar cualquier dirección, yo elegí el sur, y terminé llegando a unas interesantes estructuras de construcción que verán en las fotos (no tengo muy en claro qué son), y que se encuentran sobre la calle y puente Azucena Villaflor.
