Come check out these random mountain shots in one of the most fun sessions I've had in 2024 - MONOMAD Challenge

The best adjective that goes with this photo shoot is: FUNNY. It really has been a long time since I've laughed by myself simply for taking a picture of something unusual. Today we’ll play for a while for this #monomad challenge.

There are some things that aren't entirely weird in this collection, but it had already reached a point where my mind was putting it into that category, hehe.

It all started when I saw the hippie done in a log on the way to Plenney to take the Télécabine to Morzine, intending to avoid the bus.

Even though I had already seen the hippie, at that moment it triggered something in my head that left me from there, seeing strange things on the way there and back.

Some of these things are funny and others are informative, but all of them hide something that makes the image very particular.

Ven a ver estas tomas random de montaña en una de las sesiones más divertidas que llevo del 2024 - MONOMAD Challenge

El mejor adjetivo que va con esta sesión de fotos es: DIVERTIDA. De verdad que hacía mucho tiempo que no me reía sola sencillamente por tomar una foto a algo insólito. Hoy, vamos a jugar un ratito para este #monomad challenge.

Hay cosas que no son del todo extrañas en esta colección, pero ya había llegado un punto en que mi mente lo metía dentro de esa categoría, jeje.

Todo empezó cuando vi al hippie hecho en un tronco camino a Plenney para tomar la Télécabine hacia Morzine, con intención de evitar el bus.

Aunque ya había visto al hippie, en ese momento se me activó algo en la cabeza que me dejó desde allí, viendo cosas extrañas en el camino de ida y de vuelta.

Algunas de esas cosas son graciosas y otras son informativas, pero todas esconden algo que hacen a la imagen muy particular.

Again, I thought the best way to share this was in monochrome, as each image is full of colors and information, and the fact of seeing them in black and white, makes more evident the rarity of the photo.

Right now I'm thinking about Splinterlands, and I think these shots could be a great opponent in a card game or something like that, because they are so powerful, hehe. They were not a figment of my imagination, these are things that were in the way. Perhaps I could have overlooked them, but my content creditor's eye was already sharpened, ready to catch any element of the scene that was out of the conventional. And boy, did I find some.

Nuevamente, me pareció que la mejor manera de compartir esto era en monocromático, pues cada imagen está repleta de colores e información, y el hecho de verlas en blanco y negro, hace más evidente la rareza de la foto.

Ahora mismo pienso en Splinterlands, y es que creo que estas tomas podrían ser un gran oponente en un juego de cartas o algo por el estilo, pues son poderosísimas, jeje. No fueron producto de mi imaginación, estas son cosas que estaban en el camino. Quizás podría haberlas pasado por alto, pero mi ojo de credora de contenido ya estaba afilado, listo para captar cualquier elemento de la escena que se saliera de lo convencional. Y vaya que encontré varios.

Something quite funny is the Non / Oui sign, which refers to how to ride the gondola. But it is not the sign itself that is unusual, but the animals that are on the side, among which is an apparently stuffed duck. Also, to the left there is a sign that says New York that is like wanting to hide, but it is still visible, as if it were there for commitment, because it is not that clearly the imposing New York appears in front of us.

Near these images is a thermometer on an old-timey Orangina sign and to the left we see the duck with a misplaced chick, while to the right, a blurry Way Out sign, indicates which way to go.

These shots are coming out of the bathroom of Super Morzine, where I also took a picture of a map and a landscape with some lights that I found nice, being these, some pictures of "normal" scenarios.

Algo bastante gracioso es el cartel de Non / Oui, que hace referencia a cómo ir en la telecabina. Pero no es el cartel en sí lo insólito, sino los animales que están a un costado, entre los que se encuentra un pato en apariencia disecado. Además, a la izquierda hay un cartel que dice New York que está como queriendo esconderse, pero igualmente se ve, como si estuviese allí por compromiso, pues no es que claramente se nos aparece el New York imponente de frente.

Cerca de estas imágenes se ve un termómetro en un cartel de antaño de Orangina y a la izquierda vemos al pato con un pollito mal ubicado, mientras que a la derecha, un borroso cartel de Way Out, indica por dónde hay que ir.

Estas tomas son saliendo del baño de Súper Morzine, donde también le saqué una foto a un mapa y a un paisaje con unas luces que me parecieron simpáticas, ya siendo estas, unas fotos de escenarios “normales”.

Then I found the Hubert Sports mural, which I love, but it wasn't that that caught my attention the most, but a sign that I had completely overlooked before, and that is the one that indicates that you can't walk or ride a bike because there are cars (so I interpret from the information-packed sign), but it says so on one of the busiest pedestrian streets in Morzine.

Luego encontré el mural de Hubert Sports, que me encanta, pero no fue eso lo que más llamó mi atención, sino un cartel que antes había pasado por alto por completo, y es el que indica que no se puede caminar ni andar en bicicleta porque hay autos (eso interpreto yo en el cartel repleto de información), pero lo dice en una de las calles más transitadas por peatones de Morzine.

I also found some house fronts with carts and carts that I found strange and striking, along with structures that are not funny, but they did lead me to think of the famous OCD, because for example the one with the logs underneath and made of wood and stone, has different elements perfectly placed that caught my attention.

However, I do have a favorite photo, and that is the one with the Danger sign. It's not the sign that I love, but when I went to take the shot of this, I saw that underneath there was something peeking out. It was a snowman that was quite far away but became the protagonist of my photo, which I wanted to leave just as I captured that moment.

And... that snowman led me to activate my snowman alert, so later I found another one at the end of my path, with a carrot for a nose, a red scarf and arms made of branches, hehe.

También encontré unos frentes de casas con engatillas y carretas que me parecieron extraños y llamativos, junto con estructuras que no son graciosas, pero sí me llevaron a pensar en los famosos TOC, pues por ejemplo la que tiene los troncos debajo y está hecha de madera y piedra, tiene diferentes elementos perfectamente ubicados que llamaron mi atención.

Sin embargo, tengo una foto preferida, y es la que tiene el cartel de Danger. No es el cartel lo que me encanta, sino que cuando fui a hacer la toma de esto, ví que por debajo había algo que se asomaba. Era un muñeco de nieve que se encontraba bastante lejos pero que se convirtió en el protagonista de mi foto, la cual quise dejar tal cual capturé aquel momento.

Y… ese muñeco de nieve me condujo a activar mi alerta para muñecos e nieve, por lo que después encontré a otro al final de mi camino, con una zanahoria de nariz, una bufanda roja y brazos de ramas, jeje.
