Come walk with me on this hike in the village of Les Gets, France

Hello dear friends of the Wednesday Walk community in the big Hive family, I hope you are having a beautiful day! Today we are going for a walk in the village of Les Gets.

As I've been commenting in a few other posts, I've been here for a little over a month now, and even though I'm in a small place, it totally lends itself to me exploring it from top to bottom, literally.

And is that the village itself is already beautiful, but up in the mountains, it's like another life unfolds, hehe. It is another dimension of the same town.

You have seen Les Gets at Christmas and its mountains on my walks. I have also leaked some photos in posts on Emotions and Feelings, but the truth is that I have not yet invited you to really get to know this beautiful village.

Ven a pasear conmigo en esta caminata por el pueblo de Les Gets, Francia

Hola queridos amigos de la comunidad de Wednesday Walk en la gran familia de Hive, espero que estén teniendo un día hermoso! Hoy iremos a caminar por el pueblo de Les Gets.

Como ya he estado comentando en algunos otros posts, llevo aquí ya un poco más de un mes, y aunque estoy en un lugar pequeño, se presta por completo a que lo explore de arriba a abajo, literalmente.

Y es que el pueblito en sí ya es precioso, pero arriba, en la montaña, es como si se desarrollara otra vida, jeje. Es otra dimensión del mismo pueblo.

Han visto Les Gets en Navidad y sus montañas en mis caminatas. También he dejado filtrar algunas fotos en publicaciones en Emotions and Feelings, pero la verdad es que todavía no los he invitado a conocer de verdad a este pueblo hermoso.

Les Gets looks like a fairy tale, especially when it snows.

So far I've seen it more snowy than naked, so I was very surprised, for the best, during the days when the snow started to melt, before a big snowfall a few days ago.

The sun came out in all its splendor and showed a green Les Gets, whose vegetation blends perfectly with the turquoise sky.

Without a moment's hesitation, I decided to go out for a coffee that day. I was exhausted from work, which had been during the morning and all I wanted was to reconnect with myself. So my intention was to find a nice place to sit.

Les Gets parece un cuento, en especial cuando nieva.

Hasta el momento es más lo que lo he visto nevado que al desnudo, por lo que me sorprendió mucho, para bien, durante los días en que la nieve se empezó a derretir, antes de una gran nevada que hubo unos días atrás.

El sol salió con todo su esplendor y mostró un Les Gets verde, cuya vegetación combina a la perfección con el cielo turquesa.

Sin dudarlo un solo instante, decidí salir a tomar un café aquel día. Estaba agotada por el trabajo, que había sido durante la mañana y todo lo que quería era reconectar conmigo. Así que mi intención era hallar un bonito lugar donde sentarme.

After walking to where the only main street ends, I decided I would have my coffee at Velvet. It was a great decision.

I accompanied my coffee with a raspberry cake that was delicious, and although I was a little reluctant to drink coffee because of the caffeine, I ended up ordering an espresso, because the aroma of the store convinced me, hehe.

Después de caminar hasta donde termina la única calle principal, decidí que tomaría mi café en Velvet. Fue una grandísima decisión.

Acompañé mi café con una torta de frambuesa que estaba deliciosa, y aunque renegaba un poco de tomar café por la cafeína, terminé por pedir un expreso, pues el aroma de la tienda me convenció, jeje.

On this walk you will see the ice skating rink, iconic places of Les Gets like the Irish Pub or Black Bear (this is where we usually go with my colleagues, I'll show you later) and inside Velvet (yes, everything they sell looks delicious).

En esta caminata podrán ver la pista de patinaje sobre hielo, lugares icónicos de Les Gets como el Irish Pub o Black Bear (a este lugar solemos ir con mis compañeros, luego se los mostraré) y dentro de Velvet (sí, todo lo que venden se ve delicioso).

You will also see photos of the apartment where I live, where there are no shops, or at least there are very few, but predominantly houses in the form of chalets. They look as if they are lost in the huge hills, in this case of a beautiful green with patches of snow.

There is a sign that makes me happy every time I see it, hehe. I don't know why. It's the one with the cow, which says Frutiere des Perrieres. This cafe is literally in front of my house, and the sign that advertises it is on the way to my chalet, so I always see it.

Asimismo, verán fotos de cerca del departamento donde vivo, en donde y no hay locales, o al menos hay muy pocos, sino que predominan las viviendas en forma de chalets. Las mismas, se ven como perdidas en los enormes cerros, en este caso de un precioso verde con manchas de nieve.

Haynun cartel que cada vez que lo veo, me alegra, jeje. No sé por qué. Es el que tiene la vaca, que dice Frutiere des Perrieres. Esta quesería está literalmente frente a mi casa, y el cartel que la anuncia se encuentra de camino a mi chalet, así que siempre lo veo.

I hope you enjoyed this walk through the little village of Les Gets, located in the French Alps, waiting for its visitors, literally, especially during the winter season.

This walk took me about 2:30 hours, but because I sat down for coffee and because I walked around several times while deciding the place. Also, I took pictures, and that's what stops you in your tracks.

However, in 1:30 hours, you can go from one end of Les Gets to the other and back, hehe.

Espero que te haya gustado esta caminata por el pueblito de Les Gets, situado en los Alpes Franceses, a la espera de sus visitantes, literalmente, en especial durante la temporada de invierno.

Este paseo me tomó alrededor de 2:30 horas, pero porque me senté a tomar el café y porque dí varias vueltas mientras decidía el lugar. Además, tomé fotos, y eso te va deteniendo.

Sin embargo, en 1:30 horas, se puede ir de una punta a la otra de Les Gets y regresar a origen, jeje.
