Hello my dear Pinmapple friends, this is my first post of 2023 and I take this opportunity to send you a huge greeting!!! I wish you are having a wonderful week, traveling and in amazing places, even if it is very close to home.
This time I will share with you a beautiful experience I lived in London back in 2019, taking advantage of the fact that in my city it is so hot, and seeing these images bring me a little bit closer to the rain and the cool London breeze.
Well maybe some of you know this, but for those who don't, there is an attraction in London called: The London Eye. It is a world tour, a Ferris wheel, one of these huge wheels that slowly take you on a vertical ride, as you move away from the city to zoom in naturally. Today there are drones and many would say what's the point of this, but from my point of view, these experiences have a very particular magic.

Hola mis queridos amigos de Pinmapple, esta es mi primera publicación del 2023 y aprovecho para mandarles un enorme saludo!! Deseo que estén pasando una semana maravillosa, viajando y en lugares increíbles, aunque sea muy cerca de casa.
En esta ocasión compartiré con ustedes una experiencia preciosa que viví en Londres allá por el 2019, aprovechando que en mi ciudad hace tanto calor, y ver estas imágenes me acercan un poquito a la lluvia y a la brisa fresca londinense.
Pues quízas algunos lo sepan, pero para quienes no, hay una atracción en Londres denominada: The London Eye. Se trata de una vuelta al mundo, una noria, una de estas ruedas inmensas que lentamente van dándote un paseo en vertical, a medida que vas alejándote de la ciudad para ampliar el zoom de manera natural. Hoy existen los drones y muchos dirían que para qué esto, pero desde mi punto de vista, estas experiencias guardan una magia muy particular.

As I have already mentioned, that time I visited Europe, I was a 100% tourist, so I intended to pay to enjoy this kind of experiences, and this was one of the places I visited the first day.
It was extremely funny, because I left the Soho Hostel dressed sporty, and in the city I noticed that people were impeccable. I wouldn't say "dressed up", but they were all very well dressed, so I literally ran to buy some clothes with the desire to change right then and there to be in harmony with the city and its people, hehe. I bought a jean, a t-shirt and a sweater, which did not seem expensive at all. I think the three things cost me about 35 pounds if I remember correctly. I had made the comparison with the Argentine peso and it was much cheaper than it would be in my country, so without hesitation I bought it, and then I went to a cafe and changed in the bathroom, then I left much more in line for the landscape of London, hehe. Yes... I know this sounds extremely lacking in sense and content, but at the time it seemed necessary.
Como ya he comentado, esa vez que visité Europa, iba en plan turista al 100%, por lo que tenía la intención de pagar para disfrutar de este tipo de experiencias, y este fue uno de los lugares que visité el primer día.
Fue extremadamente gracioso, porque salí del Hostel Soho vestida deportiva, y en la ciudad me di cuenta de que la gente iba impecable. No diría “de gala”, pero iban todos muy bien vestidos, así que literalmente huí para comprarme algo de ropa con el deseo de cambiarme en ese mismo momento para quedar en armonía con la ciudad y su gente, jeje. Compré un jean, una remera y un sweater, los cuales no me parecieron para nada costosos. Creo que las tres cosas me salieron algo de 35 libras si mal no recuerdo. Había hecho la comparación con el peso argentino y era mucho más barato de lo que saldría en mi país, así que sin dudarlo lo compré, y luego fui a un café y me cambié en el baño, entonces salí mucho más acorde para el paisaje de Londres, jeje. Si… se que suena extremadamente carente de sentido y contenido esto, pero en ese momento me pareció algo necesario.
From there, I went straight to the London Eye, I already had my ticket bought in advance and I just had to use it, so without hesitation, I went there with many and very good expectations. Luckily, they were all fulfilled. The view was breathtakingly beautiful. You could see Parliament, Big Ben could not, because it was being remodeled so it was covered, but you could see several bridges, and the Thames River was perfectly bounded by the city, as I slowly rose on the London Eye as the city expanded beautifully in front of me.
In the compartment where I was going, there was a family also from Latin America, I don't remember exactly what country they were from, and I don't think I ever knew, but it seems to me that they were from Central America because of the tune. They took some pictures of me and I took some pictures of them.
The experience was unique and the pictures I took from that place are among the best I have historically, as it was daytime and you could see the cityscape very well.
This particular attraction located in London, according to the website visitlondon.com, is 135 meters high and can be seen up to 40 kilometers away. The truth is that I have no idea how far away I saw, but I could see far away, and it was also very clear how the city showed its smaller and smaller details.
De allí, fui directo al London Eye, ya tenía mi ticket comprado de antemano y solo tenía que usarlo, por lo que sin dudarlo, me dirigí allí con muchas y muy buenas expectativas. Por suerte, todas se cumplieron. La vista era impresionantemente bella. Se podía ver el Parlamento, el Big Ben no, porque estaba siendo remodelado por lo que estaba cubierto, pero se observaban varios puentes, y el Río Támesis quedaba perfectamente delimitado por la ciudad, mientras yo me elevaba lentamente en el London Eye a medida que la ciudad se expandía hermosa frente a mi.
En el compartimento donde yo iba, había una familia también de América Latina, no recuerdo exactamente de qué país eran, y creo que nunca lo supe, pero me parece que eran de centro América por la tonada. Ellos me tomaron algunas fotos y yo les tomé otras a ellos.
La experiencia fue única y las capturas que hice desde aquel lugar, están entre las mejores que tengo históricamente, ya que era de día y podía verse muy bien el paisaje urbano.
Esta atracción particular que se encuentra en Londres, cuenta, según la página visitlondon.com, con 135 metros de alto y puede verse hasta 40 kilómetros de distancia. Yo la verdad es que no tengo idea cuánta distancia vi, pero sí que se veía lejos, y además era clarísimo cómo la ciudad mostraba sus detalles cada vez más pequeños.
Another Ferris wheel I've been on is the one in Rimini, Italy, I don't think it reaches anywhere near the height of this one, as the one in London really allows you to not only see far away, but it displays the great capital before your eyes.
This attraction is located in a very strategic place, so you can do several things besides going there. For example, right next to it is The Queen's Walk, very well known in London, and there is also a very nice park to walk through. Also a few blocks away is the Tunnel of Graffiti, but I didn't get to go there, they say it's quite striking.
Something also to keep in mind, is that many parents take their children to this place. I remember seeing them playing and having ice cream, because a few meters from the Ferris wheel, there is a large ice cream shop that allows you to buy a tasty London ice cream and then stay watching the scenery adults, and children, playing around. Besides, going up to the The London Eye with children is very safe, since it is not something that involves risks: it goes at a very slow speed and there are a lot of safety measures in the structure.
Otra noria en la que he estado es la de Rímini, Italia, no creo que alcance ni cerca la altura de esta, ya que realmente la de Londres te permite no solamente ver muy lejos, sino que despliega a la gran capital ante tus ojos.
Esta atracción se encuentra en un lugar bastante estratégico, por lo que puedes hacer varias cosas además de ir hacia allí. Por ejemplo, justo al costado está El Paseo de la Reina, muy conocido en Londres, y también hay un parque muy bonito por donde caminar. Además está a unas cuadras el Túnel de los Graffittis, pero yo no alcancé a ir allí, dicen que es bastante llamativo.
Algo también a tener en cuenta, es que muchos padres llevan a sus pequeños a este lugar. Recuerdo haberlos visto jugando y tomando helado, pues a unos pocos metros de la noria, hay una gran heladería que permite comprar un sabroso helado londinense y luego quedarse observando el paisaje los adultos, y los niños, jugando alrededor. Además, subir a la The London Eye con niños, es muy seguro, ya que no es algo que implique riesgos: va a una velocidad muy lenta y hay una gran cantidad de medidas de seguridad en la estructura.

Qué espectacular experiencia, la armonía, eso me pareció espléndido que lo comentes en el post, causa mucho atractivo, es algo realmente intrigante, ¡siempre estás preparada para todo! Me encantan las imágenes, la vista desde la noria se ve uffs.
Un momento realmente genial, me encanta el comportamiento de los edificios siempre mirando al medio natural, cosa que no ocurre por acá. En vez de integración espacial tenemos una barrera con la naturaleza en algunas ciudades.
Exacto, eso es bastante característico en Europa. Siempre la mirada esta hacia el paisaje, de edificios y pasa lo mismo con sillas en los parques o incluso en cafeterías por ejemplo. Miran hacia el entorno natural.
