From precise to abstract in Buenos Aires: Porteño peculiarities | MONOMAD CHALLENGE

My flash trip to Buenos Aires took me by surprise, because even though I traveled for bureaucratic reasons, the capital of Argentina found me open to the possibility of seeing art everywhere and somehow it sharpened the content creator's eye in me.

I hope you are having a great day my friends of Hive and Black and White community!! It’s a pleasure to me to be here in this #monomad challenge of the day.

I always observe and take pictures, but this time I felt that everything was much more intense, because although I was paying attention to the beautiful urban landscapes, there were certain elements that went out of the urban structure and form and found a way to bring the focus of attention there, or at least that's what I experienced.

For example the sign for food delivery people was extremely attractive, as the letters pierced the metal and one could see through to the other side.

I also found street benches made of cement. They looked like comfortable seats, sofas set up in the middle of the sidewalk. But when you got closer, the cold, stiff material was easily noticeable.

On Florida Street, for example, I saw metal structures representing two people. Although the object made reference to humans, unfortunately the material and the way they were made, did not inspire warmth, at least to me, but the opposite.

Something that also caught my attention was the contrast between the old-fashioned signs indicating the passing of a bus and the modern screens announcing the stop of other buses. While the former consisted of signs stuck on a pole that took you back to 1980, the latter were very contemporary elements.

I was also struck by posters and phrases that are scattered around the city, alluding to political, economic and social situations. Although I took more photos of this, I only selected one to share, so as not to stain the post with this vibe.

The poster you will see says: "If our lives are not worth it, produce without us".

An old car decorated with flowers also caught my attention. It was pulling into the Palermo Hollywood area and was parked as if it were nothing, with the clear intention of being seen.

Also, a cute sign of two people holding hands attracted my attention, as it appeared to be a cute "smiley face".

I also captured from a bus, some interesting photos, one that shows the difference in the acquisition of resources between the center and the periphery, where you can see how a butcher shop on the outskirts of the city, still retains the style of more than two decades ago.

I was also captivated by a message I saw on a traffic light. It was an advertisement for a university. The sign said "The future is you". Although I quickly associated it with the educational service of that institution, it led me to think about too many philosophical questions along the lines of: am I the future or the present and other such questions that crossed my mind in a split second, so I decided to take the picture.

The "Mundial Hotel" also caught my attention with its beautiful design that had a map at the base. I looked at it and then when I took the picture I saw that Starbucks was next door, so I tried to get them both in the scene.

As you will see, I ended up getting lost in quite particular details, but I liked it. It had been a long time since I had stopped at this type of urban elements to contemplate them, get lost in them and create universes and theories based on a simple image.

I liked it a lot because I played witness trying not to categorize any of this. Or really, I first captured the images as what I know them to be, and then allowed myself to immerse myself in their many possibilities.
