New and unique experience: Luge 4 Saisons in Les Gets, France

This time I would like to share with you a recent experience from a few days ago, and it is about a small roller coaster in front of my house here in Les Gets, France.

I’m currently living on a very particular and small town, and 4 colleagues and I, we got a chalet in one of the sides of the little town, so it’s more natural, that’s why this rollercoaster is so close, hehe.

The truth is that I loved it since I saw it. Although I am not a fan of roller coasters or this kind of attractions, I saw something that went into the conifers in the mountain, and I must say that I could not help but go and live the experience.

The cost is €8 for a total duration of 5 minutes. Pretty expensive, right? However, I thought I could spend that same money on anything else like a drink or food, while the Luge 4 saisons offered me a unique experience.

I didn't think too much about it to be honest, I rather crossed one day during one of the last weekends and asked them if I could do it alone. They were about to close, but told me they could do one more ride.

It would be great to go with the people I’m living with, but we were on the training and we had pretty different schedules, so I decided just to go, and repeat it later with them if they wanted to.

The experience consists of 4 minutes up and 1 minute down. The space is full of cameras, because the roller coaster has a particularity, and that is that you can regulate its speed yourself. The maximum you can reach is 14 km/hour.

As I mentioned, I lived this experience alone and I took the opportunity to take some pictures and record some videos, so I don’t think that I reached the maximum speed, at least not the most part of the time.

Anyway I absolutely enjoyed it. The best of this for me, is the effect that the high trees cause around you, because you feel like you are literally immersing yourself in the middle of the wood, floating in the air.

At the beginning I was a little bit scared, I wont lie, because I was there literally alone, but all the cameras around, kinda offered me a bit of peace, because I was guessing that if I needed help, someone was going to rescue me 🤣

The truth is that beyond everything, I loved it! I'm waiting for a next round, because I did it during the day, but it is also enabled in the afternoon, and as at 16:30 here it is already night, they turn on some impressive lights that are reflected in the snow, and all you see is that, the lights and what is a few meters away, hehe.
