New York in Black and White, the Public Library and Grand Central Terminal

Hello my dear friends of Black and White! With this post I am participating in the #monomad challenge of the day, and also taking you on a moment's stroll through what was a wonderful day in New York.

Finding myself staying at the YMCA Hostel on 47th Street, I was very close to walk to Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, both places with free admission and two emblems recommended by tourists in person and on the internet. For this reason, they were the first two places I visited.

I walked towards them and when I saw them, I could not believe how huge they were. Suddenly I was in front of huge buildings, maintained with a unique commitment, and at the same time they were places full of people, where tourists were evident, as were people who were simply going about their lives in New York.

Both places of everyday use, but at the same time with an ability to impose themselves on the city that few buildings in the world have. And clearly, this capacity has exceeded limits and borders, as it has reached the rest of the world with its magnificence.

I remember that on that trip I was an inexperienced solo traveler. I wanted, in a very short time, to go through hundreds of spaces and capture with the eye of my cell phone more than with my experience, what I was living, but today it is something I am grateful for, because it was part of my school to travel and at the same time I see the photos and remember how I walked around there and how enthusiastic I was, pretending to merge with the city.

I found it very nice to bring inside these buildings to the monochromatic, and the truth is that by doing so I fell more in love with them, so of course, I decided to bring them to Hive.

Nueva York en Blanco y Negro, la Biblioteca Pública y la Grand Central Terminal

Hola mis queridos amigos de Black and White! Con esta publicación participo del #monomad challenge del día, y además los llevo a pasear un momento por lo que fue un maravilloso día en Nueva York.

Encontrándome alojada en el YMCA Hostel de la calle 47, estaba muy cerca para llegar caminando a la Grand Central Terminal y a la Biblioteca Pública de Nueva York, ambos lugares de entrada libre y dos emblemas recomendados por los turistas en persona y en internet. Por este motivo, fueron los dos primeros lugares que visité.

Caminé hacia ellos y cuando los vi, no podía creer la inmensidad con la que contaban. De pronto estaba ante edificios enormes, mantenidos con un compromiso único, y a su vez eran lugares repletos de gente, en donde los turistas se evidenciaban, como también lo hacían las personas que simplemente estaban llevando su vida en Nueva York.

Ambos lugares de uso cotidiano, pero al mismo tiempo con una capacidad de imponerse en la ciudad que pocos edificios en el mundo tienen. Y claramente, esta capacidad ha excedido límites y fronteras, ya que ha llegado al resto del mundo con su magnificencia.

Recuerdo que en aquel viaje yo era una viajera sola inexperta. Quise, en muy poco tiempo, recorrer cientos de espacios y capturar con el ojo del celular más que con el de mi experiencia, lo que estaba viviendo, pero hoy es algo que agradezco, pues fue parte de mi escuela para viajar y al mismo tiempo veo las fotos y recuerdo cómo caminaba por allí y cómo entusiasmada, pretendía fundirme con la ciudad.

Me pareció muy bonito llevar al interior de estos edificios al monocromático, y la verdad es que al hacerlo me enamoré más de ellos, por lo que por supuesto, decidí traerlos a Hive.
