Two places you must go if you visit New York: The famous Plaza Hotel and the LOVE sign

Hello my dear friends of the Liketu community!!! I hope you are perfectly fine and that this 2023 is going great!!! Today I stop by to share with you a memory I saw a few days ago while organizing some previous travel albums, and that is that I went back to New York for a moment while strolling through photos of Central Park. However, although this is a very beautiful park, that is not what I will bring now around here, but rather my walk through the Plaza Hotel, an extremely expensive accommodation that I visited with my parents, during a few days that we overlapped in the city.

Well no, I didn't stay in that place, hehe, maybe someday I can go as a guest, right? That would be wonderful. The truth is that this hotel has become so but so famous, that tourists who visit NYC, especially those who go for the first time (it was my case), have to pass as a rule practically, by the Plaza Hotel, since its architecture is exquisite and its elegance is so imposing that leaves you speechless.

As you can see in the photos, the burgundy carpet full of flowers on the floor already give the feeling that it is a place for celebrities, somehow makes you feel in The red carpet, and the ceiling of the living room has an opaque glass dome with delicate flowers in the vitro, which make an excellent game with the real plants that are in the place, accompanying the different marble structures.

In addition, you will be able to see the huge chandeliers full of intricate details, as well as the design of the hotel's interior. Everything is perfectly placed, everything matches, everything seems to have been measured before being placed (it probably was). The flowers in the vases also really caught my attention, which is why I took the picture, as they were perfect, fresh. I think there must be a great team of people not only in charge of the maintenance of the hotel (cleaning and so on), but also dedicated to these details that ultimately make the style of the Plaza.

I remember playing at being famous at the time, although I was dressed in very common clothes and I was already 30 years old, hehehe. Taking advantage of the fact that my parents were there, I told my mom to take some improvised pictures of me, as if I didn't want to be in the camera, haha, one of them was pretty good.

From there we walked a few blocks to get to the LOVE sign, another NYC landmark that you should definitely visit if you go to this city. Although it's just a sign, it's huge and allows you to position yourself very well to have your picture taken. At that time it was full of people, in fact we had to wait in line for several minutes to get the picture, but well, you see, it was worth it, hehe.

New York is a huge city, yes, everyone knows that, but for those who enjoy photography and contemplating the obvious and the subtle of a landscape, be it urban or rural, I must say that this city offers lenses to photograph everywhere. These two that I have shared are among the best known, those that perhaps I would not choose, but that the tourist morale tells me: *They are emblems that in part have contributed to make the city recognized and the city has undoubtedly been the key player in making these icons known. But given this urban and tourist symbiosis, how can we ignore them?

Hola mis queridos amigos de la comunidad de Liketu!! Espero que estén perfectamente bien y que este 2023 vaya marchando de mil maravillas!! Hoy paso por aquí para compartir con ustedes un recuerdo que hace unos días vi mientras organizaba algunos álbumes de viajes anteriores, y es que regresé a Nueva York por un momento mientras paseaba por las fotos del Central Park. Sin embargo, aunque este es un parque muy bello, no es eso lo que traeré ahora por aquí, sino más bien mi paseo por el Plaza Hotel, un alojamiento extremadamente costoso que visité con mis padres, durante unos días que coincidimos en la ciudad.

Pues no, no me quedé en ese lugar, jeje, quizás algún día pueda ir de huésped, ¿no? Sería maravilloso. Lo cierto es que este hotel se ha hecho tan pero tan famoso, que los turistas que visitan NYC, sobre todo aquellos que van por primera vez (era mi caso), tienen que pasar como regla prácticamente, por el Plaza Hotel, ya que su arquitectura es exquisita y su elegancia es tan imponente que te deja boquiabierta.

Como pueden ver en las fotos, la alfombra bordó repleta de flores en el piso ya dan la sensación de que es un lugar para celebrities, de alguna manera te hace sentir en La alfombra roja, y el techo de la sala de estar tiene una cúpula de vidrio opaco con delicadas flores en el vitró, que hacen un juego excelente con las plantas reales que hay en el lugar, acompañando a las diferentes estructuras de mármol.

Además, podrán ver las lámparas enormes y repletas de detalles complejos, al igual que el diseño del interior del hotel. Todo se encuentra perfectamente colocado, todo combina, todo pareciera haber sido medido antes de ser ubicado (probablemente haya sido así). Las flores en los jarrones también me llamaron mucho la atención, por lo que tomé la foto, ya que estaban perfectas, frescas. Creo que debe haber un gran equipo de gente no solo a cargo del mantenimiento del hotel (limpieza y demás), sino también dedicada a estos detalles que en definitiva hacen al estilo del Plaza.

Recuerdo haber jugado a ser famosa en aquel momento, aunque estaba vestida con ropa muy común y ya tenía 30 años, jejej. Aprovechando que mis padres estaban allí, le dije a mi mamá que me tomara unas fotos improvisadas, como si no quisiera salir en la cámara, jaja, una de ellas quedó bastante buena.

De allí caminamos unas cuadras para llegar al cartel LOVE, otro emblema de la ciudad de Nueva York que debes visitar sin lugar a dudas si vas a esta ciudad. Aunque es simplemente un cartel, es enorme y permite ubicarse muy bien para que te tomen una foto. En aquel momento estaba repleto de gente, de hecho tuvimos que hacer una fila de varios minutos para conseguir la fotografía, pero bueno, ya ven, valió la pena, jeje.

Nueva York es una ciudad inmensa, sí, todos lo saben, pero para quien disfruta de la fotografía y de contemplar lo evidente y lo sutil de un paisaje, sea urbano y rural, debo decir que esta ciudad ofrece objetivos a fotografiar por doquier. Estos dos que he compartido son de los más conocidos, de esos que yo quizás no elegiría, pero que la moral de turista me dice: tenés que ir igual! Son emblemas que en parte han contribuido a hacer reconocida a la ciudad y la ciudad sin dudas ha sido el actor fundamental para hacer conocidos a estos íconos. Pero ante esta simbiosis urbana y turística, ¿cómo ignorarlos?
