Grosvenor Square and “The Animals in War” in the Hyde Park - MONOMAD Challenge

Hello my dear friends of Hive, it's a pleasure to be here once again in the #monomad challenge of the Black and White community. This time I'm taking you again to London, where we will see a memorial to animals that made my skin crawl.

That morning I was walking around the city as usual while traveling, exploring the way to the different goals of the day, and at that moment I wanted to go to Hyde Park, a space that I will tell you about later because it deserves an exclusive post.

However, this recognition of the animals in the War also deserves to be highlighted and that is why I decided to add them to my previous visit to Grosvenor Square, which is only two blocks away in a direct line to this monument, besides, the monochromatic goes very well with these photos.

Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive, es un placer estar por aquí una vez más en el #monomad challenge de la comunidad de Black and White. En esta oportunidad me los llevo nuevamente a Londres, en donde veremos un memorial a los animales que me erizó la piel.

Aquella mañana yo paseaba por la ciudad como de costumbre mientras viajo, explorando el camino que hay hacia los diferentes objetivos del día, y en aquel momento quería ir al Hyde Park, un espacio del que luego les hablaré porque amerita un post exclusivo.

Sin embargo, este reconocimiento a los animales en la Guerra también amerita destacarse y es por eso que decidí agregarlos a mi visita previa a la Plaza Grosvenor, que se encuentra a tan solo dos cuadras en línea directa a este monumento, además, el monocromático va muy bien con estas fotos.

I actually just walked by and stopped for a moment to look at a coffee stall set up in an old mobile home that I thought was beautiful. It was drizzling, as usual in London in September, but the cityscape and green spaces looked equally beautiful.

En verdad sencillame nte pasé por allí y me detuve un momento a observar un puesto de café montado en una antigua casa rodante que me pareció precioso. Estaba lloviznando, como de costumbre en Londres en la época de septiembre, pero el paisaje urbano y de sus espacios verdes se veía igualmente muy bonito.

Animals in War

This is a monument that I'm not sure why it touched my heart so deeply. As its presentation explains, it was made in honor of all the animals that served and died in the different wars and campaigns over time. It was achieved with the help of public donations.

I don't know if the day was too cloudy or what, but I do know that I love animals and both then and now looking at the photos, I imagine all those innocent animals who lost their lives to serve human ends, ends based on discord.

I found the monument beautiful, and you can enter through the center where the animals are passing and exit on the other side where there are more details of this work. The dog and the horse stand out, which generated a lot of tenderness in me.

Este es un monumento que no sé bien por qué llegó bien profundo a mi corazón. Como explica su presentación, se realizó en honor a todos los animales que sirvieron y murieron en las diferentes guerras y campañas a lo largo del tiempo. Se logro con ayuda de donaciones públicas.

No sé si el día estaba demasiado nublado o qué, pero sí se que amo a los animales y tanto en ese momento como ahora observando las fotos, me imagino a todos esos inocentes animales que perdieron su vida por servir a fines humanos, fines basados en la discordia.

Me pareció hermoso el monumento, y puedes ingresar por el centro por donde van pasando los animales y salir por el otro lado en donde hay más detalles de esta obra. Se destacan el perro y el caballo, lo cual me generó mucha ternura.

The monument in general seems excellent to me and I think it is an extremely empathetic work for all the lives that have been part of war events. Soldiers, commanders and others are always mentioned, which of course is extremely painful, but throughout history animals have been used to participate in these events as well, and it is the first time (and the only one) that I see such a recognition for animals that have participated in war events.

El monumento en general me parece excelente y creo que es una obra sumamente empática para con todas las vidas que han sido parte de eventos de guerra. Siempre se menciona a los soldados, comandantes y demás, que claro que es sumamente doloroso, pero a lo largo de la historia los animales han sido utilizados para participar también de estos eventos, y es la primera vez (y la única) que veo un reconocimiento así para los animales que han participado en eventos bélicos.
