When I fell in love with London <3 | My entry to the MONOMAD challenge

Hello my dear friends!! I hope you are having a beautiful day! Today I take part in the #monomad challenge with some pictures from one of my old trips.

London turned up to be the place where I had to admit that solo traveling was going to be like a drug to me.

I landed in London city in September 2019, yes, almost three years ago, but the memory of what I felt will be alive always in my heart and mind.

¡¡Hola mis queridos amigos!! ¡Espero que estéis teniendo un bonito día! Hoy participo en el reto #monomad con algunas fotos de uno de mis antiguos viajes.

Londres resultó ser el lugar donde tuve que admitir que viajar en solitario iba a ser como una droga para mí.

Aterricé en la ciudad de Londres en septiembre de 2019, sí, hace casi tres años, pero el recuerdo de lo que sentí estará vivo siempre en mi corazón y en mi mente.

I had traveled alone before, to the USA, and despite I thought the English were going to be difficult for me (that it was my first time in an English country on my own), New York of course has many people that talk in Spanish so as soon as they listened to my accent, they spoke in Spanish. So… it was easy.

But London… I knew that the UK didn’t have many people talking in Spanish and their English is more difficult let’s say, for someone who isn’t familiar with speaking the language in daily life.

Ya había viajado sola antes, a Estados Unidos, y a pesar de que pensaba que los ingleses iban a ser difíciles para mí (que era mi primera vez en un país inglés por mi cuenta), Nueva York por supuesto tiene mucha gente que habla en español así que en cuanto escucharon mi acento, hablaron en español. Así que... fue fácil.

Pero Londres... sabía que en el Reino Unido no había mucha gente que hablara en español y su inglés es más difícil digamos, para alguien que no está familiarizado con hablar el idioma en la vida cotidiana.

Anyway, I was happy, I could understand everything and I managed the way to explain myself.

That first day in London, I remember I decided just to walk, without a clear goal in my mind, I just wanted to explore, since I was going to be there for a week. And guess what… I fell in love with the city.

Old buildings but imponent, history everywhere, beautiful English as music around me, and suddenly a big terrestrial globe in front of me.

De todos modos, estaba contento, podía entender todo y me las arreglé para explicarme.

Ese primer día en Londres, recuerdo que decidí simplemente caminar, sin un objetivo claro en mi mente, sólo quería explorar, ya que iba a estar allí durante una semana. Y adivinen qué... me enamoré de la ciudad.

Edificios antiguos pero imponentes, historia por todas partes, un inglés precioso como música a mi alrededor, y de repente un gran globo terráqueo frente a mí.

How not to love London?

Some soft clouds appeared letting me know that the weather was exactly how I thought it was going to be: wet and rainy. I love rain, and mostly I love London rain, super thin and kind, at least in September.

Here I’m sharing with you some of that first day in the city. I was organizing my pictures when I realized that those buildings were going to be perfect in black and white, so I decided to try.

¿Cómo no amar a Londres?

Unas suaves nubes aparecieron haciéndome saber que el tiempo era exactamente como pensaba que iba a ser: húmedo y lluvioso. Me encanta la lluvia, y sobre todo me encanta la lluvia de Londres, súper fina y amable, al menos en septiembre.

Aquí comparto con vosotros algunas de ese primer día en la ciudad. Estaba organizando mis fotos cuando me di cuenta de que esos edificios iban a quedar perfectos en blanco y negro, así que decidí probar.
