Champorado/ Chocolate Rice Porridge

When we were little children, our grandfather prepared a champorado for snack everytime we visited to their house. They have a lot of cacao plants. He processed the seeds to make pure chocolate. It was not an easy procedure. So we have to eat what he cooked for us, especially during the rainy days. It was the best time eating this. What I loved the most when I remember this today was the chocolate was organic. The aroma of the chocolate paste that was being mixed into the rice was too good.

Yesterday, I was hungry but I used Hershey's Chocolate powder. It tasted better but the champorada of our beloved grandfather had nothing to compare.

If you have no pure cacao or cocoa powder, please trey the hersey powder. It has the complete great taste whatever chocolate food you want to cook.

I also mixed it with powder milk to enhance the best taste.
