New Coinlist Sale Methods

New Coinlist Sale Methods.jpg

For their last two public sale rounds, CoinList have changed up their sale format again. They have been evolving their sale formats since the early days... in the beginning it was pretty easy to get a spot on rounds such as Solana and Flow... but it became increasingly harder as scammers, farmers, and multi accounts started to hog the allocations.

So, that meant that we would have queues... and then verifications, and then karma priority queues... and it appears that each iteration works for a while, and then is gamed and fails.

And in each iteration, I would be in on the sale rounds... and then I would drop out as a single legitimate small account would get overtaken by multis that would game the prerequisites to flood the allocations.

This year, I have been missing most of the allocations... partly due to the queuing... and more often, because the entire system goes down when I am trying to purchase. This is much to the annoyance of my wife, as the sales are often in the middle of the night and I'm setting an alarm to be awake for it.

However, the last two rounds for Mystiko and Bondex... Coinlist appears to have been trying something new again. This time, you are just signing up and committing your funds during the sale period. And the selection of the accounts that are eligible is done when the sale period ends.

... now the down side is that it is potentially less transparent... but on the other hand, the queue system wasn't that transparent anyway. So, that isn't really a huge loss... but the HUGE plus is that you just sign up and commit your funds any time in the 5 or so day sale window... and then you just sit back and wait.

NO MORE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT ALARAMS! YES YES YES!!!!

... and the best thing? I got allocations in both of them again!
