Picking up some old DeFi tokens
A massive crash like the one that we had a couple of days ago is a great chance to restock on some old school DeFi that I already had sitting around. Most of the attention is focussed on Solana and the memecoin stuff... and Ethereum and the OG-DeFi are all out of favour or at best ignored by those looking for something shiny and new.
I figured that I would pick up a little bit more Synthetix (SNX), Uniswap (UNI), and Compound (COMP) tokens... these had all crashed with the rest of the market, and I had some USDT sitting around unused after CoinList cancelled their recent crowd-auction due to "market conditions"... honestly, I think that that was as cop-out as you shouldn't need to have great market conditions to be able to milk us... pretty disappointing.
Anyway, I was keen to keep up a bit more exposure to Compound Finance and Uniswap as both of them have the potential for future fee switches being shared with holders/stakers... and well, I really like the OG DeFi protocols. And then there was SNX, Synthetix, which has been really great to holders in the past and the new Infinex project has also been promising. Plus, Australian angle as well!
So... will this be a regret or a good thing in the future? Who knows... I only know that most people are either panic selling or looking at Solana... and that MIGHT be the best time to hunt around and forage elsewhere.... or maybe I'll be by myself and get eaten by the crypto-wolves!
Honestly, it is always a gamble in these things... fingers crossed! I might even start looking at some of the newer DeFi projects as well... but if one has to be perfectly honest, if this isn't your full time job, there are just WAAAAAYYYYYYY too many things to keep track of, and way too much noise and shilling.

For the most part I think anything on ETH is going to be okay. SOL might be the darling right now, but ETH is always going to be there in the background plugging along.
I tend to think the same... Ethereum has the old school idealists sticking with it, and they won't really compromise on the things that are important. Maybe...
