Bendy and the Dark Revival
Operation: Tango
Windjammers 2
Builder Simulator
Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery
The Invisible Hand

Eeeep, I'm a touch late writing about May's Humble Bundle drop, I think it will clear soon... perhaps only in a day or so! Anyway, better late than never... and it does have a couple of really nice games in there! So, lets take a quick look and see what is in store for Humble Bundle subscribers this month!

I love Warhammer... and I love Warhammer 40k. Sadly, not all the games that have come out in the Warhammer universe have been good... in fact, there is a large smattering of pretty poor or buggy games. But I've had my eye on this particular X-COM-like for quite some time now... but I have been holding back on buying it due to my insane games backlog... Daemonhunters looks like the perfect meld of XCOM with the Warhammer 40k world in which you play as a legendary Grey Knights chapter! So, this appeals both the XCOM and Warhammer nerd in me... how could I resist! Although, I'm really much less keen on the inclusion of the Denuvo rootkit for content protection... honestly, game companies REALLY have to stop this sort of draconian practice... there must be better ways to do this that aren't all stick and distrust. Still MBAs and CEOs must do what they know... and that is sadly, very little.

Oh man... Spritfarer is a beautiful game about helping dead souls traverse the river of death to their final end. My older daughter is playing this on the Switch, and I have been playing on the Steam Deck so that we can enjoy the experience together! It is really amazing and well crafted, a true work of art in gaming.... I have it already, so I will be passing this key onto someone else!

Oh man... I'm torn on Bendy and the Dark Revival. It is a FPS survival horror game... and normally that word (horror...) would have me running screaming for the exits. But survival... I'm interested... and the art style is stunning! You play as Audrey, who is trapped in a nightmare cartoon... and the art style is as you would expect, a hand drawn nightmare that is stunning in its beauty! I think I'm going to try and be brave and play this... but only at home, never on tour when I'm by myself! And in a brightly lit room... in the daytime!

I've had fun with voice-chat co-op games before... mostly during the Corona-time when my wife was trapped in the attic (isolation...) when she was sick... and we would play these games together with the kids. Since then, we haven't really got into it anymore as a family... Operation Tango does look pretty cool, with that retro artstyle and vibe that really makes me miss games from my youth such as "No One Lives Forever". However, it does appear that this game is quite short... and it might not really have much in the way of staying power... so, a little novelty. Perhaps a keeper to play with the girls, but more likely than not I will be sending this to the store.

Top down frisbee competition? Pass... sorry, this doesn't look like my sort of thing at all.

I've really wanted to like these "Blah Simulator" games... and I've tried a few of them in the past few years. But ultimately, all of them are just hollow experiences with no sense of progression or anything. They are just well disguised click here and then click there clones with different skins. Pass... I'm sort of even a touch miffed that this was in the bundle at all!

Behind the Framer is a puzzle game where you aid an artist in completing her artistic masterpiece. The art style reminds me of Japanese anime and it all just looks beautiful! In fact, even if it was a story anime/movie, I don't think I would even mind! I think that my girls will LOVE this one... they are huge fans of Studio Ghibli, and I think that this would be the perfect game for them!

Haha... I'm a terrible crypto trader, the few times that I've tried my hand at day trading... it has been a disaster. So, I've learnt my lesson and I only look at things with a year horizens! Anyway, the itch is always still there... but I resist, knowing that I'm both terrible at it and don't have the time or interest to make it work or to learn to better at it. So, a game like the Invisible Hand could be a good way to get those itches out... or to give me too much overconfidence in my abilities!
