Having more optimism makes it easier to handle difficult circumstances, which lessens its negative impact on your health. Optimists are completely aware of and accepting of their unpleasant experiences. But unlike pessimists, they are more prone to avoid taking responsibility for a negative event, tend to see things as temporary, and anticipate more good things to come in the future.
The essential distinction between the two is that the optimist is already searching for a solution while the pessimist is seeking for reasons why something will fail.
