Negligence made me lose a new phone

During the time blackberry phones were still reigning I have always have it in mind then that I will try and buy either blackberry bold 2 or curve 3 which was in my budget and why I got so attracted In buying the phone was because of how my elder brother was happy using it. I also want to feel the same as well because I don't want to be left out since he doesn't want to share his phone with anyone, so I decided to save up in buying mine.

Though I was using a smaller phone then but it doesn't browse so that was one of my motivation in trying to buy a browsing phone like that of my brother and I never gave up in trying to save up in buying mine. I was working for someone then so the amount I receive as salary wasn't that much but I tried in saving the money to buy a new phone.

It took me six months before I was able to save up in buying a phone and I was very excited in fulfilling that aim. It was on a Friday morning around 11am when I decided to go and buy the phone so I took excuse from my boss at work before I could be free to go.

When I got to the computer village where they do sell phones and at that point I saw different type of phones including that of my brother so I was left with different options on which one to buy. Though my choice was still that of my brother because he uses bold 2 but because I really don't won't us to use the same phone I went for curve 3 and I paid.

I was so excited to have a new phone so I went back to work because I was still on duty then. My boss was someone who was quite understanding that was why I got that opportunity to go get a new phone. When I got to work I decided to charge the phone so that I can enjoy my new phone with the battery fully charged lol.

I do close by 7pm and before I would get home 8pm would almost be clocking because it is a one hour journey from where I stay. When I got home my brother was not around because I was told he went to watch football so I just have to wait till he comes back before showing him my new phone.

It was then I realized that I have forgotten my phone charger at work and it will be on Monday before I would resume work again. This really made me unhappy because am pretty sure I will need to charge again, then I remembered my brother had an extra charger that was kind of faulty so I decided to manage it if it will work.

My phone battery was still kind of full but because I want it to maintain 100% charge that was why I was eager to charge lol nonsense me. I tried using the faulty charger to charge but it was not working and the only thing that came to my mind was to cut of the adapter and insert the naked wire in the socket.

Behold when I plugged my phone with it, the next thing I heard was booooom, then I saw my phone flying up and it landed like a plane crash with no hope of surviving lol and when I checked my phone it refused to on with smoke coming out of it. I tried every possible best but it all went to no avail to on then I knew there was a problem.

My brother came back from where he went to watch match and saw me hitting the new phone on my head lol then he said "wetin happen" "no be your new phone be dat" and then my mouth was heavy to explain but I had no choice than to narrate the whole story and after explaining he burst into laugher but later felt sorry for me again and that was how I enjoyed my new phone.
