I Present My New Drawing (ENG/SPA)
Hello, Internet people, how are you? As some of you may know I still can't draw without references because I'm just learning how to draw and I'm practicing the proportions (for me it's very difficult to be able to capture the drawing I imagine) so I usually look for references. This is the one for today:
Hola, gente de Internet ¿Cómo están? Como algunos sabrán yo aún no puedo dibujar sin referencias porque apenas estoy aprendiendo a dibujar y practico las proporciones (para mí es tremendamente difícil poder plasmar el dibujo que imagino) así que suelo buscar referencias. Esta es la del día de hoy:
I think the materials you see in this drawing are watercolours, a paintbrush of course and a micro-tip pen, however, as I don't have watercolours and I don't know how to use them yet, I chose to make the drawing with coloured pencils and the pen, in addition to a 2b pencil (the one I usually draw with), I also used a purple marker (soon I will try to start using watercolours).
Creo que los materiales que se ven en este dibujo son acuarelas, un pincel, por supuesto y un bolígrafo micropunta, sin embargo, como no tengo acuarelas y además no sé usarlas aún, yo elegí hacer el dibujo con lápices de colores y el bolígrafo, además de un lápiz 2b (con el que suelo dibujar), también usé un marcador violeta (pronto intentaré empezar a usar acuarelas)
Although it is the same drawing (after all it is my reference) I took some creative liberties such as making the flowers in the directions I wanted, the amount I wanted and the details were also different.
Si bien es el mismo dibujo (después de todo es mi referencia) me tomé algunas libertades creativas como hacer las flores en las direcciones que yo quise, la cantidad que quise y los detalles también fueron diferentes.
I started making the lines of the strings that hold the bulbs, that to have a guide of the height, size and distance in which I would put the bulbs, then I sketched them (although that would not be the final shape) and later I corrected their shape a little bit.
Empecé haciendo las líneas de las cuerdas que sostienen los bombillos, eso para tener una guía de la altura, tamaño y distancia en que pondría los bombillos, después los boceté (aunque esa no sería la forma final) y posteriormente corregí un poco su forma.
Once I was happy with the size, shape, height and distance of the bulbs, I started to add the flowers, as I said before, I took the liberty to put them as I wanted, both in distance, shape, size and quantity. I think that even if we take a reference it is not necessary to make the copy exactly the same, but we can have more creativity, after all it is art.
Una vez que estuve conforme con el tamaño, la forma, la altura y la distancia de los bombillos, empecé a agregar las flores, como dije antes, me tomé la libertad de ponerlas como quise, tanto en la distancia, la forma, el tamaño y la cantidad. Creo que aunque tomemos una referencia no es necesario hacer una copia exactamente igual, sino que podemos tener más creatividad, al fin y al cabo es arte.
Once I was satisfied with the drawing, I started to make the lines with the micro-point pen to better define the drawing before colouring it.
Una vez que estuve conforme con el dibujo, empecé a hacer las líneas con el bolígrafo micropunta y así definir mejor el dibujo antes del colorearlo.
The next thing I did starting the colouring was to make the central focus of the flowers, if you notice, they are darker in the centre and the colour fades outwards, so that's what I tried to do. In the case of the violet flowers, I tried to do something different and that's why the centre is a similar colour but quite different.
Lo siguiente que hice empezando el coloreado fue hacer el foco central de las flores, si se fijan, son más oscuras en el centro y el color se difumina hacia afuera, así que eso intenté hacer. En caso de las flores violetas, intenté hacer algo diferente y es por eso que el centro es de un color similar pero bastante diferente.
I finished colouring the flowers and added some coloured dots (a lot because I liked it that way).
Terminé de colorear las flores y agregarles algunos puntos de colores (muchos porque así me gustó)
In the end, to give it the highlights and as I didn't have any white paint, I managed to make them with an ink corrector and this was the result:
Al final, para darle los puntos de luz y como no tenía pintura blanca, me las ingenié para hacerlos con un corrector de tinta y este fue el resultado:
