Hi there, internet folks! How are you doing? I’ve always heard that female friendships are complicated, but is that actually true, or does it apply to every case?

1️⃣ There's a long-standing belief that genuine female friendships are rare to find or difficult to sustain. Has this influenced the way you approach or interact with other women in your space? Are there aspects of female friendships that you have come to appreciate the most, and how have you also navigated the challenges that comes with building something intentional with females?
1️⃣Existe una antigua creencia de que las amistades femeninas genuinas son raras de encontrar o difíciles de mantener. ¿Ha influido esto en la forma en que te acercas o interactúas con otras mujeres en tu espacio? ¿Hay aspectos de las amistades femeninas que has llegado a apreciar más? ¿Y cómo has superado también los desafíos que conlleva construir algo intencional con mujeres?
Personally, I’ve always gotten along better with men than with women, so most of my friends are men; however, this isn't due to any sort of prejudice—I mean, I’ve never had any issues with female friends. It might just be the circumstances: I’m a chef (though I’m currently working as a nanny), and restaurant kitchens generally have more men than women. That said, come to think of it 😜, I’ve always gotten along better with men in almost every setting. Of course, there are aspects of female friendship you can’t find with men—a certain kind of bond rooted in our feminine instincts, like intuition—but I’ve never faced any particular challenges when it comes to female friendships.
Yo particularmente siempre me he llevado mejor con los hombres que con las mujeres, así que casi todas mis amistades son hombres, pero en realidad esto no se debe a ningún prejuicio, es decir, yo nunca he tenido algún problema con amigas mujeres, quizá son las circunstancias, yo soy chef (aunque actualmente me desempeño como niñera) y en las cocinas de los restaurantes por lo general hay más hombres que mujeres, aunque pensándolo bien 😜 en casi todos los entornos siempre me he llevado mejor con los hombres, sin embargo obviamente que hay aspectos de la amistad femenina que no puedes hallar en hombre, cierta complicidad que tiene que ver más con nuestro instinto femenino como la intuición, pero jamás he tenido algún desafío que superar en cuanto a amistades femeninas.
2️⃣ Tell us about a memorable friendship experience that made you realize you had found someone who would always have your back. What did they do that left such a lasting impression on you, and how has that friendship changed your view about life?
Cuéntanos sobre una experiencia de amistad memorable que te hizo darte cuenta de que habías encontrado a alguien que siempre te respaldaría. ¿Qué hicieron que te dejó una impresión tan duradera y cómo esa amistad cambió tu visión de la vida?
I do have a friendship that changed my outlook on life; it is a long-distance friendship—meaning that, although we live in the same country, we have never had the chance to meet in person. We share many interests, such as a love for literature and music; in fact, I met her online on a platform for amateur writers, and we stayed in touch. However, she has changed my perspective because she suffers from an incredibly rare disease that primarily affects her lungs, confining her to a sedentary life that is almost devoid of excitement. I have tried to comfort her many times, but despite the hardships she has faced, I am amazed by her resilience and her ability to face the world. This has made me rethink complaining about trivial matters and realize how fortunate I am to have even the things I once considered insignificant in my life; honestly, I wish I could do much more for my friend.
Sí que tengo una amistad que cambió mi visión de la vida, ella es una amistad a distancia, es decir, aunque vivimos en el mismo país nunca hemos tenido la oportunidad de conocernos, ella es una persona con la que tengo muchos gusto afines, por ejemplo gustos literarios y musicales, de hecho la conocí virtualmente en una plataforma literaria para escritores amateur y de allí quedamos en contacto, pero ella ha hecho que mi visión de la vida cambie en el sentido de que ella sufre de una rara pero rarísima enfermedad que ataca principalmente sus pulmones y la ha relegado a una vida sedentaria y casi sin emociones, yo he tratado de reconfortarla muchas veces pero la verdad es que a pesar de lo duro que le ha tocado vivir, me sorprende su resiliencia y su capacidad para enfrentar el mundo, esto me ha hecho replantearme el hecho de quejarme por nimiedades, me ha hecho pensar que realmente soy afortunada hasta por tener lo que considero más insignificante en mi vida, y sinceramente me gustaría hacer mucho más por mi amiga.
