Let's talk about PSY the Kpop genius (ENG/SPA) Hallyu
Hello, internet people! As you know I am a lover of South Korea and Kpop, one of the biggest incomes in the country. Today I want to tell you about this genius of the genre that together with Super Junior, has expanded the Hallyu (Korean wave).
¡Hola, gente de internet! Como saben soy amante de Corea del Sur y del Kpop, uno de los ingresos más grandes del país. Hoy quiero hablarles de este genio del género que junto a Super Junior ha expandido la Hallyu (ola coreana)
Park Jae-sang or PSY (Sai) is a South Korean kpop singer, best known for his hit song Gangnam Style,which became world famous, making people dance to kpop who didn't know that song belonged to the genre.
Park Jae-sang o PSY (Sai) es un cantante surcoreano de kpop, mejor conocido por su hit Gangnam Style, el cuál se hizo mundialmente famoso, haciendo bailar kpop a gente que no sabía que esa canción pertenecía al genero.
Born as heir Chaebol and residing in Gangnam, PSY was the black sheep of the Korean royalty as his extroverted and "not very correct" personality for the conservative view of Koreans, always stood out and caused problems. In fact, his first two albums were censured for having "inappropriate" content and from then on he was labeled as a controversial artist.
Nacido como heredero Chaebol y residenciado en Gangnam, PSY era la oveja negra de la realeza coreana pues siempre su personalidad extrovertida y "poco correcta" para la visión conservadora de los coreanos, sobresalía y causaba problemas. De hecho, sus primeros dos discos fueron censurados por poseer contenido "inapropiado" y de ahí en más fue catalogado de artista polémico.
Under the YG Entretaiment label, PSY finally released Gangnam Style and to the surprise of the Koreans themselves, it topped all the charts both on Google and Naver. The song is a social critique of the demanding life of Gangnam people and in fact, the video has a satirical tone and is filmed in thousands of places except in Gangnam and which are also common places like a stable, the subway station or a street in a less affluent neighborhood.
Bajo el sello de YG Entretaiment, PSY saca finalmente Gangnam Style, y para la sorpresa de los mismos coreanos, se posicionó en el primer puesto de todas las listas tanto en Google como en Naver. La canción es una crítica social a la exigente vida de la gente de Gangnam y de hecho, el video tiene un tono satírico y está grabado en miles de lugares menos en Gangnam y que además son lugares comunes como un establo, la estación del metro o una calle de un barrio menos acomodado.
There are several Korean celebrities that make appearances in his video and besides the song itself being catchy, the humor of the video also helped a lot.
Hay varios famosos coreanos que hacen aparición en su video y además de que la canción en sí es pegajosa, la gracia del video también ayudó bastante.
The so-called "Horse Dance" became famous all over the world and it's an important part of MV.
El llamado "Baile del Caballo" se hizo famoso en todo el mundo y es parte importante de MV.
Shortly after comes "Gentleman" another hit that although not like his previous song was still very successful. In fact this is my favorite MV as it's quite funny and just like Gangnam Style it reflects the opposite of the title of the song, in it we see Psy being the opposite of a gentleman and the funniest thing is to see him laughing at the jokes he makes to the ladies. The song is quite catchy and the lyrics are quite hot and contradict the video, a real genius.
Poco después nos llega Gentleman otro hit que aunque no fue como su anterior canción igualmente tuvo mucho éxito. De hecho este es mi MV preferido ya que es bastante gracioso y al igual que Gangnam Style refleja todo lo contrario al título de la canción, en él vemos a un Psy siendo todo lo contrario a un caballero y lo más gracioso es verlo reírse de las bromas que le hace a las damas. La canción es bastante pegajosa y la letra es bastante hot además de contradecir al video, todo un genio.
PSY is now considered a genius in South Korea, and the role model for many singers and rappers who feel out of place within their agencies, which is why many of them followed him when PSY declared that he had created his own entertainment company: P NATION.
PSY ahora es considerado un genio en Corea del Sur, y el ejemplo a seguir de muchos cantantes y raperos que se sienten fuera de lugar dentro de sus agencias, es por eso que muchos de estos le siguieron cuando PSY declaró que había creado su propia empresa de entretenimiento: P NATION
PSY's company already has many renowned Idols among which are: Jessi, HyunA and E'Dwan (these two idols are boyfriend and girlfriend and after this was discovered, they were fired from their agencies, so PSY gave them the opportunity to sign with him, now E'Dwan is called Dawn) Crush, Heize, Penomeco, D.Ark, Swings, among others.

His most recent musical work was in the company of Suga from BTS, both as composers and Suga as producer, using the resources of P Nation. I won't talk too much about this song because I already dedicated a whole post to it, but I must tell you that it's too good.

He is undoubtedly one of the greatest exponents of Kpop and a CEO who, according to his artists, is like a proud father to each of them and who puts talent before beauty or stereotypes of his nation.
Sin duda alguna es uno de los más grandes exponentes del Kpop y un CEO que según sus artistas es como un padre orgulloso de cada uno de ellos y que antepone el talento antes que la belleza o los estereotipos de su nación.
