Let's talk about Paranormal Activity (ENG/SPA)
Hello, Internet people. Today I want to talk to you about a saga that in my perception started quite good, but ended quite bad, I already told you about The Blair Witch Project, now I will talk to you about this saga which takes the same resource of the movie mentioned before and exploits it in a more "modern" way. This is my appreciation of Paranormal Activity

Hoy quiero hablarles de una saga que en mi percepción empezó bastante bien, pero terminó bastante mal, ya les hablé de El Proyecto de la Bruja de Blair ahora les hablaré de esta saga la cual toma el mismo recurso de la película antes mencionada y lo explota de una forma más "moderna". Esta es mi apreciación de Actividad Paranormal.
One of the things I've always hated about films whose chronological order is a mess, is that if you don't have a guide to watch them, you don't understand the story at all, and that's what happened to all of us who watched this saga as the films came out, we were left with more questions than answers and in the end we had to wait for them all to come out, look for a guide and watch them again in disorder, to give chronological order to the story following this line, first we must watch film 3, then film 2, then film 1, then film 4, then film 5 and finally the 6th film.
Una de las cosas que siempre he odiado de las películas cuyo orden cronológico es un desastre, es que si no tienes una guía para verlas, no entiendes la historia en lo absoluto, y es lo que nos pasó a todos los que vimos esta saga conforme salían las películas, quedábamos con más preguntas que respuestas y al final tuvimos que esperar a que salieran todas, buscar una guía y mirarlas de nuevo en desorden, para darle orden cronológico a la historia siguiendo esta línea, primero debemos ver la película 3, luego la 2, sigue la 1, después la 4, después a 5 y finalmente la 6ta película.
The attraction of this saga as well as the aforementioned The Blair Witch Project is the homemade format that makes the setting a very high level, it makes us feel inside the story (which is what a good setting seeks) and being a horror saga makes this aspect also increase and the final result is highly satisfactory.
El atractivo de esta saga, así cómo como la antes mencionada El Proyecto de la Bruja de Blair es el formato casero que hace que la ambientación sea de un nivel muy alto, nos hace sentir dentro de la historia (que es lo que busca una buena ambientación) y al tratarse de una saga de terror hace que este aspecto aumente también y que el resultado final sea altamente satisfactorio.
Honestly I don't like the story, I think it's generic, cliché and bland, but the execution of the paranormal events and their evolution was attractive to me because they managed to generate tension and scare, the part of the coven of witches I also liked because it was really scary but that's as far as it went, in fact the name of the demon was the stupidest thing in the movie, if they didn't want to use a biblical name at least they would have invented a decent demon-sounding name like Haghatiel (I just made that up in a second) so for proof, a button.
Honestamente la historia no me gusta, me parece genérica, cliché y sosa, pero la ejecución de los eventos paranormales y su evolución era lo atractivo para mi porque lograban generar tensión y asustar, la parte del aquelarre de brujas también me gustó porque la verdad asustaba mucho, pero hasta ahí, de hecho el nombre del demonio fue lo más estúpido de la película, si no querían utilizar un nombre bíblico al menos hubiesen inventado un nombre decente que sonara a demonio como Haghatiel (me lo acabo de inventar en un segundo) así que para muestra, un botón.
The photography is not memorable (as I say it follows the line of home or security videos) some shots are well done as their position helps the atmosphere and they play well with some shots where for example, the security camera is one of those that move from one side to another, however, there are parts in which there is a violent fight where there were fixed cameras, but they decided to make them lie down during the fight and directly the conflict could not be seen or understood and this far from helping the terror was frustrating.
La fotografía no es memorable (como digo sigue la línea de videos caseros o de seguridad) algunos planos están bien hechos ya que su posición ayuda a la ambientación y juegan bien con algunos planos donde por ejemplo, la cámara de seguridad es de esas que se mueven de un lado a otro, sin embargo, hay partes en las que hay una lucha violenta dónde había cámaras fijas, pero decidieron hacer que se tumbaran durante la pelea y directamente no podía verse ni entenderse el conflicto y esto lejos de ayudar al terror resultaba frustrante.
On the other hand I feel that the first 4 films had their charm, they were quite entertaining and as I said, the paranormal events that happened were quite scary, but from then on the progression of scenes, the dynamism and the story went downhill, and although I saw all the films, I don't remember well these last 2 films because honestly for me they were not memorable.
Por otro lado siento que las primeras 4 películas tenía su encanto, eran bastante entretenidas y como dije, los eventos paranormales que sucedían asustaban bastante, pero a partir de ahí la progresión de escenas, el dinamismo y la historia se fueron a pique, y pese a que vi todas las películas, no recuerdo bien estas 2 últimas películas porque honestamente para mi no fueron memorables.
I don't really have any complaints about the performances, they feel quite natural.
La verdad no tengo queja alguna de las actuaciones, la verdad se sienten bastante naturales.

La verdad solo ví la primera película de la saga y me pareció muy buena. Me gustan ese tipo de películas tipo realistas dónde las cámaras enfocan la cotidianidad y los sucesos de una manera impactante. No he seguido viendo las películas de esta saga por culpa de los spoilers de la gente, de verdad que me desanimaron, pero ahora que ví esta reseña creo que voy a darle una oportunidad.
Es cierto, la primera de la saga creo que es la mejo, no te preocupes por no haber visto las demás porque no te perdiste de nada. Entiendo que no te gusten los spoiler, he conocido gente como tú que los odian tanto que hasta se pierden las ganas de ver una peli, a mi en cambio me gustan, de todos modos opino que lo que la gente te pueda decir, no equivale para nada a la experiencia de verlo por uno mismo 😀
Recuerdo el boom de la franquicia cuando empezó, especialmente porque se publicitaba como una película "real", de hecho, tuve muchas discusiones con gente en esa época que juraba que eso era en serio jajaja
Respecto a la calidad de las mismas, es irregular, aunque el concepto es bueno y empezaron explotandolo bien luego se convirtió en un desastre
Sí, esa fue la estrategia, al igual que con El Proyecto de la Bruja de Blair, fue un recurso infalible para que la gente se sintiera motivada a ir a verla, y vaya que funcionó, yo nunca creí que fuera real pero sí debo reconocer que al menos al principio el engaño estaba bien hecho, luego, ciertamente se volvió un desastre.
También me agradan estos filmes que como dices, el espectador puede sumergirse en la historia por la manera en que se muestra, recuerdo sobre todo aquellas primeras películas que su se sentía el susto, sin embargo, poco a poco se fue perdiendo el miedo en la saga, así que al igual que tu, no recuerdo mucho de ellas, pero se puede decir que el primer filme fue una producción con un buen impacto en aquellos días.

Sí, es un muy buen recurso para asustar y para ayudar al espectador a sentirse dentro de la historia, pero tienes toda la razón al decir que poco a poco estas películas de Actividad Paranormal fueron perdiendo la gracia, nunca llegaron a impactar tanto como la primera.
I was never interested in this movie saga. I saw the first one and I liked it, but the following ones were a torment, I don't remember which was the last one I saw. By the way, I'm still wondering, you, your sister and your friend, don't watch current movies. 😅
In fact, yes, both my sister and I have seen current or recent movies, movies like Fall, Smile or Curve, 😄 but maybe you haven't read the reviews, anyway, we don't care too much about current movies, but those that have caused an impact on us, those who have left a mark, and the current ones, at least in the horror genre that is our favorite, leave much to be desired, and at least I feel that it is not worth writing about it, when I see a movie that does catch my attention, that transmits emotions to me, so I dedicate myself to writing a review 😉.
