¡Hola gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? por mi parte estoy muy emocionada desde que mi papá @victor2356 me etiquetó en esta actividad, ya que él sabe que yo amaba y continúo amando los Dibujos Animados, y son muchos los recuerdos que tengo respecto a esto.
Hello internet people! How are you? I'm very excited since my dad @victor2356 tagged me in this activity, because he knows that I loved and continue to love cartoons, and I have many memories related to them.
El primero es Billy y Mandy, más específicamente Las Sombrías Aventuras de Billy y Mandy, me encantaba esta caricatura porque era de corte oscuro, y por alguna razón eso siempre llamó mi atención, pero tenía mucho humor, desde luego. Por otra parte yo recuerdo que mi primo Alejandro y yo siempre bromeamos llamando "Mandy" a mi hermana @mairene1, a quién aprovecho de invitar a esta actividad 😉 pero sí, la llamábamos "Mandy" por su personalidad un tanto peculiar, jaja. Pero los tres (mi hermana, mi primo y yo) disfrutábamos mucho de ver esta serie, y nos reíamos mucho en los episodios de Puro hueso con Drácula, porque este siempre lo sacaba de quicio, al igual que Billy. A a veces mi mamá, @carmen1659 se unía a nosotros para ver la serie porque también le gustaba, y recuerdo la mirada de mi papá mientras negaba con la cabeza y decía "¿Cómo les puede gustar esa comiquita tan fea" jaja es que aquí en Venezuela le llamamos "comiquitas" a los dibujos animados
The first one is Billy and Mandy, more specifically The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. I loved this cartoon because it had a dark tone, and for some reason, that always caught my attention, but it was also very funny, of course. On another note, I remember that my cousin Alejandro and I always joked around, calling my sister @mairene1 "Mandy"—whom I'd like to invite to this activity 😉—but yes, we called her "Mandy" because of her somewhat peculiar personality, haha. But the three of us (my sister, my cousin, and I) really enjoyed watching this show, and we laughed a lot during the Grim episodes with Dracula, because he always drove him crazy, just like Billy. Sometimes my mom, @carmen1659, would join us to watch the show because she liked it too, and I remember my dad's look as he shook his head and said, "How can you like that ugly cartoon?" haha, because here in Venezuela we call cartoons "comiquitas."
También guardo muy gratos recuerdos de cuando veía Las chicas super poderosas, yo me identificaba mucho con Burbuja por su personalidad espontánea y por ser tierna (no sé, la gente que me conoce a menudo piensa que soy tierna aunque se defenderme y defender mis derechos, como bien lo hace Burbuja, recuerdo que yo veía mucho esta serie los fines de semana, ya que por las tardes cuando también la transmitían por TV yo no podía verla porque iba a clases de Ballet clásico, sin embargo me gustaba mucho reunirme con mis amigas a jugar afuera y adivinen cuál era nuestro juego favorito ¡Sí, exactamente! Las Chicas super poderosas.
I also have very fond memories of watching The Powerpuff Girls. I identified a lot with Bubbles because of her spontaneous personality and because she was sweet (I don't know, people who know me often think I'm sweet even though I can stand up for myself and my rights, just like Bubbles does). I remember watching this show a lot on weekends, since I couldn't watch it in the afternoons when it was also broadcast on TV because I had ballet classes. However, I really enjoyed getting together with my friends to play outside, and guess what our favorite game was? Yes, exactly! The Powerpuff Girls.
¿Quién no llegó a soñar con tener un padrino mágico? jaja yo veía esta serie animada con la esperanza de que algún día apareciera uno de estos a mi lado, y esto me arranca una sonrisa llena de nostalgia ante la inocencia que tenemos cuando somos pequeños, pero a la vez me hace pensar que es triste ver como el día a día, la rutina, la madurez y todo eso, va secando esa capacidad que tenemos de desear cosas. Esta es una serie que yo también solía ver con mi primo y mi hermana (él venía mucho a casa en época de vacaciones, así que era como nuestro hermano) pero hoy en día lo extraño tanto porque vive en España 😞. Sin embargo Cartoon Networks y Discovery Kids me recuerdan demasiado una de las mejores etapas de mi vida, que fue mi infancia (las tardes frente al televisor comiendo palomitas, los juegos basados en estos programas infantiles, las frases icónicas, todo eso).
Who didn't dream of having a fairy godfather? Haha, I used to watch this animated series hoping that one day one of them would appear by my side, and it brings a nostalgic smile to my face, reminding me of the innocence we have when we're little. But at the same time, it makes me think how sad it is to see how daily life, routine, maturity, and all that, gradually diminishes our capacity to wish for things. This is a series I also used to watch with my cousin and my sister (he came to our house a lot during vacations, so he was like our brother), but nowadays I miss him so much because he lives in Spain 😞. However, Cartoon Network and Discovery Kids remind me so much of one of the best times of my life, which was my childhood (afternoons in front of the TV eating popcorn, playing games based on these children's shows, the iconic phrases, all of that).

I remember those cartoons very well; in Argentina, you could watch them on pay-TV channels. They’re from a time after my own, but my cousins who were eight and eleven years younger than me—used to watch them, and whenever I went to their house, they’d be watching them.
I love the story about how you used to watch these cartoons with your sister and cousin, and how your mum would sometimes join in, even though your dad thought they were ugly. We tend to identify with a character, perhaps because of some similarity, and I love the character you chose from the Powerpuff Girls. Although you haven’t posted any videos related to these cartoons, I loved your creativity and the reference to the illustrations from those cartoons.
