Working under pressure as a photographer : your favorite photographer /Trabajar bajo presión como fotógrafo: tu fotógrafo favorito

I was going through pictures I had shot over the last few months, like just going over it and checking out my progress and all that, and I stumbled on this pictures I had shot for a lady that puts so much pressure on me. I remembered she wanted me to send her the pictures in two days which was really difficult but because I wanted to prove that I can do it, I went ahead and accept what I called the challenge.

Estaba revisando las fotos que había tomado en los últimos meses, simplemente repasándolas y comprobando mi progreso y todo eso, y me topé con estas fotos que había tomado para una dama que me presiona mucho. Recordé que quería que le enviara las fotos en dos días, lo cual fue muy difícil, pero como quería demostrar que podía hacerlo, seguí adelante y acepté lo que llamé el desafío.

I was still training then and I also wanted to prove to my boss that I can do something great and then recollectimg the lady wanted to pay me a good amount of money, I said I was up for it. I would say that was a very big mistake which I intend not do ever again. I believe as a photographer after a shoot you are supposed to take your time and come up with a good retouching of the photos instead of rushing it and coming out with a bad edits.

Todavía estaba entrenando entonces y también quería demostrarle a mi jefe que puedo hacer algo grandioso y luego, recordando que la señora quería pagarme una buena cantidad de dinero, dije que estaba dispuesto a hacerlo. Diría que fue un error muy grande que no pienso volver a cometer nunca más. Creo que, como fotógrafo después de una sesión, se supone que debes tomarte tu tiempo y hacer un buen retoque de las fotos en lugar de apresurarte y salir con malas ediciones.

We schedule around 10am in the morning but she came around 4pm in the evening, I was unhappy but then I didn't want her to know, I only said it okay and then after the shoot she told me she wanted all the pictures in two days ( it was on Tuesday and she wanted the pictures on Thursday morning) that was crazy and the facts that I agree to do that was crazier because who would shoot over 15 pictures and still get them retouched in one and a half day? Isn't that ridiculous. Anyways long story short, I didn't sleep all day just to finish the pictures. This were the results

Programamos alrededor de las 10 a. m. de la mañana, pero ella llegó alrededor de las 4 p. días (fue el martes y ella quería las fotos el jueves por la mañana) eso fue una locura y el hecho de que acepto hacer eso fue más loco porque ¿quién tomaría más de 15 fotos y aún así las retocaría en un día y medio? ¿No es eso ridículo? De todos modos, para resumir, no dormí en todo el día solo para terminar las fotos. Estos fueron los resultados.

Anyways I have learnt my lessons, and by now I better and I also know my values as a photographer and also never settle for less no matter what.
