[ESP-ENG] Making a Firefighter Sweater - Grand Challenge | Haciendo Suéter de Bombero - Gran Reto
Friends of hive, a special greeting to all of you, grateful for the support that makes me every day continue to improve my sewing talent. It was a challenge for me to do what I am going to show you today. I had never made a firefighter sweater before, and for those of you who know this type of sweater has many sewing details that must be done because that's how it should be, it's a guideline.
Paso 1: vamos a necesitar dos telas, una de color azul rey oscuro y otra roja. Cierre para el cuello y los hilos de acuerdo al color de las telas, vamos a necesitar por supuesto la guía del suéter original para poder hacer cada uno de los detalles. Cortaremos todas las piezas de nuestro suéter y luego vamos a proceder a coser.
Step 1: we will need two fabrics, one dark royal blue and one red. We will need the zipper for the neck and the threads according to the color of the fabrics, we will need of course the guide of the original sweater to be able to make each one of the details. We will cut all the pieces of our sweater and then we will proceed to sew.
Paso 2: Primeramente vamos a coser las líneas rojas que irán en la parte del pecho y parte de los hombros. Vamos a hacerlo con excelencia cosiendo de manera delicada, luego de haber cosido ésto ahora vamos a coser hombro con hombro para cerrar ésta primera parte del suéter.
Step 2: First we are going to sew the red lines that will go on the chest and shoulders. We are going to do it with excellence sewing in a delicate way, after having sewn this now we are going to sew shoulder to shoulder to close this first part of the sweater.
Paso 3: ahora vamos a coser las mangas al suéter, en las mangas el suéter tiene unos parches que también le vamos a coser como les voy mostrando en la imagen, también lleva unos bolsillos, todo eso se los estoy mostrando en las imágenes para que puedan guiarse y saber cómo se debe hacer, cosemos los parches y bolsillos a nuestro suéter, estos van en los laterales de las mangas.
Step 3: now we are going to sew the sleeves to the sweater, on the sleeves the sweater has some patches that we are also going to sew as I am showing you in the image, it also has some pockets, all this I am showing you in the images so you can be guided and know how to do it, we sew the patches and pockets to our sweater, these go on the sides of the sleeves.
Paso 4: ahora vamos a proceder a coser el cierre que irá en el cuello del suéter, vamos a coser el cierre y luego es que vamos a coser el cuello. Luego de coser el cierre es que vamos a coser la tira que será la que tomará la función del cuello encima del cierre. Ésto es lo que haremos aquí.
Step 4: now we are going to proceed to sew the zipper that will go on the neck of the sweater, we are going to sew the zipper and then we are going to sew the collar. After sewing the zipper is that we're going to sew the strip that will be the one that will take the function of the collar on top of the zipper. This is what we're going to do here.
Paso 5: Ahora vamos a coser los puños de nuestro suéter, con tiras gruesas y Procedemos a coserlos Muy bien.
Step 5: Now we are going to sew the cuffs of our sweater, with thick strips and proceed to sew them very well.
Paso 6: por último vamos a coser el ruedo de nuestra camisa, vamos a coser lo y aquí están unas imágenes de como quedó el suéter ya terminado ahora sí pueden ver el resultado final. Espero que les haya gustado mucho familia de hive.
Step 6: finally we are going to sew the hem of our shirt, we are going to sew it and here are some images of how the sweater is finished now you can see the final result. I hope you liked it a lot hive family.
