Reseña del restaurante que quería visitar. Chef Margaro. [ESP-ENG]

Hola amigos, quiero contarles sobre la visita que hice con mi familia a un restaurante que tenía tiempo queriendo visitar. Este restaurante de sushi llamado Chef Margaro, fue inaugurado en el año 2020 y había leído en las redes sociales muchas críticas positivas con respecto a su sabor, precio y el tamaño de sus rollitos, esta franquicia ha tenido tanto éxito que ya cuentan con varias sucursales en diferentes estados de Venezuela. Visité la ubicada en el Centro Comercial Las Américas en la avenida Las Delicias en Maracay, estado Aragua, pero también tienen sucursales en Valencia, Barquisimeto y Caracas.

Hi friends, I want to tell you about the visit I made with my family to a restaurant that I had long wanted to visit. This sushi restaurant called Chef Margaro, was opened in 2020 and I had read on social networks many positive reviews regarding its taste, price and the size of their rolls, this franchise has been so successful that they already have several branches in different states of Venezuela. I visited the one located in Las Americas Shopping Center on Las Delicias Avenue in Maracay, Aragua state, but they also have branches in Valencia, Barquisimeto and Caracas.

En Instagram se pueden ver los combos que este restaurante ofrece al público, pero cuando llegamos al lugar no quisimos hacer nuestro pedido sin preguntar, así que le pedimos al chico que nos atendió que nos sugiriera algo especial tomando en cuenta que no somos expertos en este platillo, entonces nos dijo que para cuatro personas tenían un platillo llamado combo full que venía con 50 rollos mixtos, ensalada dinamita y un refresco de litro y medio por solo 25$. Como no éramos expertos nos recomendó pedir los rollitos tempura, también nos sugirió pedir 20 rollitos con pollo y 30 con todo, el chico nos explicó que los rollitos con pollo es un nuevo ingrediente en la carta. Así que pedimos lo que nos recomendaron.

Me da mucha vergüenza reconocer que no hice foto del plato cuando nos lo sirvieron, pero la verdad es que tenía el mismo aspecto que en su cuenta de Instagram. Los ingredientes de todos los rollitos que sirven en este restaurante son Crispi de pollo, camarón, cangrejo, atún, aguacate, queso crema, plátano maduro y obviamente arroz. Según pedimos en la bandeja había 20 rollitos con pollo Crispí y el resto tenían los demás ingredientes, había unos con aguacate otros sin aguacate, unos con plátano y otros sin plátano y así sucesivamente.

On Instagram you can see the combos that this restaurant offers to the public, but when we arrived at the place we did not want to place our order without asking, so we asked the guy who served us to suggest something special taking into account that we are not experts in this dish, then he told us that for four people they had a dish called combo full that came with 50 mixed rolls, dynamite salad and a liter and a half soda for only $25. As we were not experts he recommended us to order the tempura rolls, he also suggested us to order 20 rolls with chicken and 30 with everything, the guy explained to us that the rolls with chicken is a new ingredient in the menu. So we ordered what was recommended.

I’m very embarrassed to admit that I didn’t take a picture of the dish when they served it to us, but the truth is that it looked the same as on their Instagram account. The ingredients of all the rolls they serve in this restaurant are chicken Crispi, shrimp, crab, tuna, avocado, cream cheese, ripe plantain and obviously rice. As we asked on the tray there were 20 rolls with chicken Crispi and the rest had the other ingredients, there were some with avocado others without avocado, some with plantain and others without plantain and so on.

Lo primero en probar fue la ensalada dinamita, ya que cubría todos los rollitos de sushi, estaba muy rica, sabores totalmente nuevos para mi paladar, quizás haya gente con un alto conocimiento sobre el tema pero a mi me encantó esta ensalada, no puedo comparar su sabor con nada que haya probado antes así que no paré de comerla. Los rollitos eran realmente grandes, era muy difícil meterme uno entero en la boca, así que me lo comí en dos bocados. Súper grandes.

Para mí estaban todos deliciosos, el nuevo ingrediente, si lo pensamos bien, es un poco extraño encontrar pollo en un plato que es exclusivamente de pescado y marisco, pero los rollitos que llevaban pollo seguían estando buenos, se sentían crujientes y no sólo eran de pollo, también llevaban otros ingredientes. El resto de los rollos eran diferentes en sabor cuando tenían plátano maduro porque se sentía dulce, aguacate o queso crema por la textura, pero seguían siendo muy buenos.

The first thing to try was the dynamite salad, as it covered all the sushi rolls, it was very tasty, totally new flavors for my palate, maybe there are people with a high knowledge on the subject but I loved this salad, I can not compare its taste with anything I have tasted before so I did not stop eating it. The rolls were really big, it was very difficult to get a whole one in my mouth, so I ate it in two bites. Super big.

For me they were all delicious, the new ingredient, if we think about it, it’s a bit strange to find chicken in a dish that is exclusively fish and seafood, but the rolls that had chicken in them were still good, they felt crunchy and they were not only chicken, they also had other ingredients in them. The rest of the rolls were different in taste when they had ripe banana because it felt sweet, avocado or cream cheese because of the texture, but they were still very good.

No me puedo quejar del servicio, el chico se ganó la propina por lo bien que nos trató, además de hacernos la recomendación, vino dos veces más después de traernos el pedido para preguntarnos si estábamos bien y si nos había gustado. Una cosa que quería decirle es que aunque teníamos a alguien que nos atendía en la mesa, el pedido lo tiene que hacer el cliente en la caja registradora y pagarlo de una vez, luego se lleva la comida a la mesa. Así que el chico le explicó a mi marido cómo hacer el pedido para que pudiera ir a hablar con la cajera.

El ambiente del lugar es agradable, la decoración es roja y negra con diseños en las paredes. Intenté hacer fotos para que pudieras ver las imágenes aunque me faltó una pared donde las mesas estaban ocupadas y me dio pena molestar. La afluencia de comensales es muy buena, mientras estuvimos allí una familia de unas 10 personas estaba sentada a nuestro lado y en otras mesas había parejas solas o con niños. Nos sentamos en la mesa número 15 y había unas 18 y de esas solo 5 mesas estaban vacías cuando nos fuimos y otras muchas personas en la caja registradora estaban esperando para anular su pedido.

I can't complain about the service, the guy earned the tip for how well he treated us, besides making the recommendation, he came two more times after bringing us the order to ask us if we were ok and if we liked it. One thing I wanted to tell him is that although we had someone waiting on us at the table, the order has to be placed by the customer at the cash register and paid for at once, then the food is brought to the table. So the guy explained to my husband how to place the order so he could go talk to the cashier.

The ambiance of the place is nice, the decor is red and black with designs on the walls. I tried to take pictures so you could see the images although I missed one wall where the tables were occupied and I was sorry to disturb. The influx of diners is very good, while we were there a family of about 10 people was sitting next to us and at other tables there were couples alone or with children. We sat at table number 15 and there were about 18 and of those only 5 tables were empty when we left and many other people at the cash register were waiting to cancel their order.

En conclusión, es un sitio al que volvería, tiene un ambiente muy agradable, la gente es muy atenta, la comida es económica pero sigue teniendo la calidad esperada. También debo añadir que no pudimos comer todo el plato de sushi por lo que nos llevamos a casa 16 rollitos que comimos al día siguiente.

In conclusion, it is a place I would go back to, it has a very nice atmosphere, the people are very attentive, the food is inexpensive but still has the expected quality. I should also add that we could not eat the whole plate of sushi so we took home 16 rolls that we ate the next day.
