A simple life.....

Namaskar / Hello to all hive users, who will reach this post. I hope you are doing great and having fun in your life and enjoying it with your loved ones.

As a middle-class man, I do think most of the time that I do have a job and everything is going well what else do I need now? My parents did spend a good amount on my study but in the end, they want me to do preparation for government jobs.
This thing is really confusing me now, If they want me to be at a government job then why did they ask me to graduate and do other courses that have no connection with the government jobs at all?

Now what I have learned this, typical Indian parents (mostly )do need a child who is good at studies and other things too. But they do want their child should have a government job and life to be settled. 🙃
I was never interested in government jobs at all. I filled out the form my father forced me to do, but from inside I dont want to do that. And to be honest I never prepared for that and I did waste a lot of my parent's money on that.😐 I do regret that a lot these days I am not sure why, but I am.

I don't think about the money, but about the opportunities that I have missed in past years. Most of the time my parents have faith and hope in me and in the end they do feel low. When I don't clear those exams.

At present, I am at a job, not what my parents want me to do but still, they are happy (or maybe they pretend to be happy so I don't feel low, but not sure, or maybe they are. ). Maybe I am overthinking it now.
Whenever my father heard any news about new government jobs then he surely did ask me to fill that. And now I don't have any options even if I want to fill that. Now my answer is simple I am eligible for that and don't have the preparation. But the thing is I don't want and never did. I did prepare for a few exams for years but now I don't want to.

Sometimes I do think about a government job too, a 10 to 5 job and you are free(mostly) after that you do have a lot of time left for you and your family. In private jobs, life is a little bit different for sure there is no time limit. Not sure why all of this came today, I am feeling a bit emotional after I have seen a video today. 🙃Parents do need a government, good marriage life, and a child (grandchild) that's all they don't do anything else.
They just want to see you safe and happy. 🙂
