hello friends! Meet me again this sunny morning, this time I will share some pictures of mushrooms with friends, I hope this is useful for all of you!!

Exploring an oil palm plantation surrounded by Sagi trees in the rainy season with the aim of looking for complete data about fungi. Today I went with a friend of mine carrying a lunch to look for complete information about mushrooms. Omphalotus olearius or what is known as the lantern mushroom is an orange mushroom and contains poison. I found this mushroom growing on dead logs next to swamps with high humidity levels so it is very good for the growth of the Omphalotus olearius fungus itself. This mushroom is orange, slightly greenish in color, this mushroom is also known as the night lantern because this mushroom glows at night/low light. In fact, all of these mushrooms do not glow, only the gills shine at night, this light is because this mushroom contains an enzyme called Luciferase which works when it contains the compound lucifeein so that this fungus is able to produce light at night like that of fireflies.

mushroom size

Here I measured this mushroom using a regular measuring tool. I started measuring the medium sized coconut leaves to the largest size. The size of this mushroom umbrella varies from 2-9cm. The stem height is 1.5-8cm.
